WIG of the Tandem scheme is considered as the object of this research. The paper presents a simplified technique for modeling a jet from a propeller. The computational experiment for the study of aerodynamic characteristics was carried out in the ANSYS finite element analysis program. The conditions of the computational experiment provided for changing the kinematic parameters (position of the WIG against the screen), speed of the jet, the angle of the jet blow, and use of wing mechanization (flaps). Analysis of the results leads to conclusions on effectiveness of the blowing application to this layout of the WIG. It also allows to reveal major effects from changing its aerodynamic characteristics with various jet parameters, configuration and position of the WIG against the ground. The paper also considers some of the features of WIG flight performance taking into account the effect of jets from the propeller. Keywords: PAR (Power-augmented Ram), GEV (ground-effect vehicle), WIG (wing-in-ground-effect)

Studying the armor-piercing effect of armor-piercing bomb that attacks aluminum target is essential, because the target can be considered the simulation of the actual fight equipment. Based on the hypothesis about building the fraction field, the armor-piercing effect of armor-piercing bomb is analyzed, and the velocity and the intruding depth parameter model of armor-piercing effect are established. Taking a certain armor-piercing bomb as example, the intruding processes of armor-piercing effect are simulated by using the nonlinear finite element analysis program LS-DYNA, while aluminum target simulates the wall of combat equipment in two different conditions. At last, the finite element simulated results are given and analyzed that agree with the experiments.

In this article, the waterproof curtain, the underground diaphragm wall and the soil between them are regarded as superposed combined exterior protected structure, then build a flexible spring support system. When using senior ANSYS finite element analysis program to simulate the strained condition and displacement of the underground diaphragm wall, we will combine with the monitoring result and the result of traditional comouting method. After contrasting, we can get a conclusion: the strained condition and displacement of the wall of this simulation method are more coincident with practical projects, and can reduce unnecessary waste.

In order to solve the problem existed in the numerical simulation of sheet metal forming for its use the strain-based forming limit diagram as criterion, which has the flaw of dependence on the strain paths, this paper develops the finite element analysis program based on the stress forming limit criterion applicable to the blank plastic forming technique, which follows the stress-strain transformation relationship when the sheet metal is undergoing plastic deformation, chooses Hill’s quadratic normal anisotropic criterion as computational model and selects the commercial finite element code Dynaform as its development environment. Also it be analyzed the finite element numerical simulation results of two deep drawing parts by the developed program module and realizes the prediction of sheet metal forming limit adopting the FLSD as criterion. The stress-based forming limit criterion for the developed program provides a new means to analyze the forming limit for the multistage sheet metal forming.

On the base of studying on mechanism of the deformation and bearing capacity of vibro-replacement stone column foundation thoroughly, the assumptive conditions are presented. The composite 2-dimension numerical model of the stone column is established, this model considers the couple of stress-strain with Biot consolidation and the reinforced efficiently, the finite element analysis program is developed according to this model. The reliability and validity of APOSE is verified by a simple example. The results show that APOSE can be applied to analyze the consolidation and subsiding for vibro-replacement stone column, etc

This paper is about predicting the noise and vibrations for railways project in Malaysia by using Finite Element Analysis method. In recent years, Malaysia is massively developing railways industry. This has created a great awareness in the public, regarding noise and vibration from railways trains during operations are generated from the rolling interaction of the wheels with the rails. Additional noise may be generated from brake squeals during braking at the stations and curved segments of the rail alignments. Over the years, it is relatively easy to measure the acoustic sound power of a train and to calculate noise levels. However, it would be advantageous to be able to reliably and efficiently predict the noise and vibration impact resulting from proposed railways projects. Comprehensive noise and vibration shall be predicted to determine noise and vibration levels along the entire track alignment to ensure that noise and vibration levels shall comply with Malaysia Department of Environment (DOE) approved limits. The result of analyses can be used to identify and to design noise and vibration mitigation measures for the entire railway project. Several methods have evolved to predict noise and vibration from various operational sources, but their suitability for prediction of noise and vibration from railways trains is not well known and has not yet been thoroughly tested. This study document finite element analysis undertaken for the noise and vibration aspects of the viaduct design of the railways track. Data and inputs for finite element model and analysis are including the aspect of “Geometry, atmospheric, ground effect, analysis type and boundary conditions”, as mentioned by Makarewicz (1998) and Lamancusa (2009). A comparison of finite element model and analysis will be conducted by adding the additional aspects of “Material properties and applied loads”, which to be determined as better accuracy of predicting noise and vibration from railways train.
