The food and beverage industry has an important role to play in the Indonesian economy. This industry's contribution to the GDP of the non-oil and gas industry reaches almost 34 percent and absorbs a lot of labor. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the strategy of strengthening the food and beverage industry which can improve the performance and competitiveness of Indonesia's food and beverage industry sector. The approach used is a descriptive approach. The results of the analysis show that for some food commodities have a low competitiveness, while the beverage industry which is dominated by soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, Spirits drinks and Beer has an increasing trend. To improve the competitiveness and performance of Indonesian food and beverage products, the government has carried out several policies, but not yet optimal. The strengthening effort that must be made by the Government is to increase exports to non-optimal markets (Untapped Market Countries). In addition, for the development of small and medium industries, the industrial sector also needs fiscal incentives as well as increased industrial technology capabilities.

The present economic model is intended to provide an example of how to take into consideration risks and uncertainties in the case of a field that is developed with water injection. The risks and uncertainties are related, on one hand to field operations (drilling time, delays due to drilling problems, rig failures and materials supply, electric submersible pump [ESP] installations failures with the consequences of losing the well), and on the other hand, the second set of uncertainties are related to costs (operational expenditures-OPEX and capital expenditures-CAPEX, daily drilling rig costs), prices (oil, gas, separation, and water injection preparation), production profiles, and discount factor. All the calculations are probabilistic. The authors are intending to provide a comprehensive solution for assessing the business performance of an oil field development.

Abstract The food and beverage industry is the largest contributor to waste in Indonesia. It is because the product packaging waste has not been handled properly. This industry will continue to grow following population growth and the level of people’s purchasing power every year, so there is a risk that it will generate more post-production waste. This study examines the disclosure of environmental management practices, and green innovations carried out by food and beverage companies in Indonesia. Based on the purposive sampling technique, this study employed 54 food and beverage industry companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange from 2017-2019. This study used descriptive statistical analysis and panel data regression. The research results showed that green innovation had a significant positive effect on sales growth, while environmental management disclosure has a significant negative effect. The company has also actively supported government programs in green innovation, among them using new technologies that can reduce waste and production materials that can be recycled.

This research paper explores the concept of sustainability and the role played by O&G industry in achieving sustainable development. The authors bring a rational approach in defining the key issues for the O&G sector that affect sustainability as well as try to devise the inherent risks as well as mitigation approaches adopted by these companies. Sustainability is a topic gaining fast repute today. As new conventional oil and gas sources decline, unconventional sources, including shale gas in the US, oil sands in Canada, coal seam gas in Australia, and deep-water offshore wells in Brazil, West Africa and Asia have been identified as key areas with significant reserves potential. Despite the growth potential, sustainability risks such as climate change, safety risks, and community disagreements exert pressure on the economic feasibility of these opportunities.

The three components of sustainable development: economic, environmental and social, often referred to as the ‘Triple Bottom Line’ or TBL, can be used in evaluating a company’s performance in financial, environmental and social dimensions. These three dimensions of sustainable development, as explained by John Elkington and adopted by Shell’s first sustainability report in 1997, are also commonly referred to as the 3Ps: People, Planet and Profit.

The paper also focuses on analyzing the various threats that could obstruct sustainable development being carried out by companies in the oil and gas industry. The importance of sustainable economic growth with regards to the oil and gas industry has also been highlighted. The 3Ps explained above can be used to categorize the key issues/risks that impact sustainability. The researchers concluded that the sustainability programs followed by oil and gas industry are not satisfactory; however there is strong evidence of improvement in near future. Towards the end, the researchers have tried to list the Strategies and Methodologies for enhancing the effectiveness of sustainability strategies and programs for the sector.

As the Australian oil and gas industry faces a continued shortage of skilled employees, increasing the representation of women in this industry is a business imperative. Economic success and competitive advantage may depend on attracting and retaining the skills of women. Research shows that a gender-diverse workforce can also be linked to improved business performance, innovation and corporate governance. While women make up 46% of the Australian workforce and more than 50% of university graduates, present statistics show that on average 13% of workers in the Australian oil and gas industry are women. This is a lower proportion than comparable industries in Canada and Norway: women make up 21% and 19% of workers, respectively. In Norwegian oil companies, this level is as high as 30% (4). This extended abstract briefly discusses the present research about women's retention and progression within the Australian resource sector. It outlines the initiatives being undertaken by government, industry bodies and organisations to increase the representation of women in the Australian sector, and comparable industries in Norway and Canada. This extended abstract concludes with a case study about the challenges and lessons learnt in establishing a corporate initiative to increase female participation at Clough Limited. Women@Clough is a professional forum established in April 2011 to improve the attraction, retention and progression of women in the Clough workforce. Strategies and key success factors in the establishment of the program are also examined.
