In this paper, synthetic evaluation method with nonlinear power function for membership function and systematic procedure are presented with set pair analysis theory. The case study shows the presented method works well in one building site of Bohai Bay and has advantages of concision, easy-operation and high precision, so the evaluation results are credible.

In this paper, a systematic method is used to evaluate the comprehensive carrying capacity of marine reclamation with the predictive data of hydrodynamics, ecology and sediment. The predictive data are obtained by the numerical simulated results of hydrodynamics, water exchange, ecological loss and sediment. These data are coupled and input into a nonlinear set pair coupling assessment model for the predictive comprehensive carrying capacity assessment of marine reclamation. This method is calibrated by case study of Longqi Bay in Jinzhou China. This research results show that the predictive comprehensive carrying capacity assessment method is essential for guiding the marine reclamation.

Water carrying capacity assessment is to reveal the relationship between water resources, population, and economy, fully use water resources, and make economic development go hand in hand with protection of water resources, which simultaneously promote sustainable social and economic development. Based on the analysis of water resources carrying capacity defined, according to the measure of the demand for sustainable use of water resources, using a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to construct water resources carrying ability evaluation index system with three aspects of socio-economic systems, environmental systems and water systems, gives the five evaluation criteria, proposed set pair analysis to evaluate it, analyze the advantages of set pair analysis, and finally select Gaochun as case study areas, provide a new method for the carrying capacity of water resources.

In view of target attribute value for different sector number, moreover, also attaches a target constraint condition kind of mix sector multi-attribute decision making question, this paper presents set pair analysis decision-making method. Firstly this paper puts forward three typical interval type attribute value representation; Then using set pair analysis theory, the interval type attribute value unified convert the correlate form, Finally has given complex decision-making criterion function, which collected Conformity degree criteria and Criteria for membership degree. Through the construction plan changes decision-making example analysis shows that this method is a simple and effective method for solving multiple attribute decision making.

Because treatment of diabetic ulcers includes various uncertainties, efficacy assessments are needed and significant. In previous studies, set pair analysis (SPA) has been applied to the efficacy assessments of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) that pick out uncertainties related to the development and prognosis of disease. Optimized clinical protocols of SPA improve clinical efficacy. In the article, cloud model (CM) is employed to improve SPA, and a novel efficacy assessment method for a treatment of diabetic ulcers is proposed based on the cloud model-set pair analysis (CM-SPA). It is recommended to replace connection degree (CD) with cloud connection degree (CCD) that the efficacy assessment results are shown as normal clouds. Then, three diabetic ulcers patients treated with TCM made importance assessment by both CM-SPA and AHP based SPA. The comparison of assessment results shows that the CM-SPA is efficacious for the efficacy assessment of a treatment for diabetic ulcers and the results will be more scientific and accurate via CM-SPA.

In view of the uncertainty of evaluation indicators for water resources carrying capacity the theory of set pair analysis is adopted. The samples are preliminarily classified by calculating the connection degree between the samples and evaluation indicators. Then the samples are further ranked through the identity, difference and antagonism set pair analysis. The weights of evaluation factors in the model are obtained from the avail value of data reflecting the information entropy, by which the weight allocation is more reasonable. The application result of this model to an example is compared with those obtained from integrated evaluating methods and the attribute recognition method. It shows that the proposed method is practical and reasonable.
