This study aims to discuss new and renewable energy policies as an effort to build national energy security. Research methods use legal research that searches from various perspectives. The implementation of analysis, using the method of regulatory and focus on energy, generally has many impacts. First, the policy on the use of new and renewable energy aims to prepare the carrying capacity of national energy security. Implementation this policy has not been fully implemented because there are still many obstacles faced. Second, the use of new energy and renewable energy as an effort to build national energy security in Indonesia is still not optimal. Even though Indonesia is blessed with abundant natural and energy resources in all its regions and the need for new and renewable energy as the future fate of energy security in the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia for people's welfare as a step to reduce the increase in consumption of fossil-based energy.

The data on the current state of energy in Uzbekistan are given. The need to diversify the structure of the energy balance of the republic is shown, which ensures the energy security of the state in the medium and long term. It is argued that the construction of a nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan is not only expedient, but also necessary. In the future, renewable energy and nuclear power plants will become the basis of energy in Uzbekistan.

The article contains the results of a study of the state of the fuel and energy complex (FEC) of the Republic of Buryatia. The role of fuel and energy complex in the economy of the republic is analyzed in the article. The main problems, the solution of which is necessary for further development of the industry, including energy security and low efficiency of heat and power production in the power system, are identified by the author. The tasks of development of transboundary interaction with the energy system of Mongolia are defined. Possible options for gasification of Buryatia were studied. To ensure increased energy security of the Republic of Buryatia and the efficiency of the Buryat energy system, the main activity is the continuation of the construction of Ulan-Ude Thermal Power Station-2. The necessity of actualization of the development strategy of the fuel and energy complex of the Baikal region based on the diversification of the fuel and energy balance due to gasification, the development of gas processing and gas chemistry, the use of non-traditional and renewable types of energy is substantiated.

In the article presented, the authors prove the objective need for the development of the electricity industry of the Republic of Crimea on the basis of the active use of the renewable energy sources, caused by the world processes of the formation of the “green” economy. The object of the study is the territory of the Republic of Crimea - a bright representative of the energy deficit region. The development of the electricity industry of the Republic of Crimea on the basis of the use of the renewable energy sources serves as the basis for ensuring regional energy security, the fragility of which was determined by the political events of 2015. The authors studied the research papers of leading domestic and foreign scientists devoted to the analysis of the renewable energy sources in order to justify the further active development of a wind energy, a solar energy as well as bioenergy and landfill gas energy in the Republic of Crimea. The development of the Republic of Crimea’s electricity industry through the use of the renewable energy sources and local fuels is an essential area of modern active regional policy. It is determined by the fact that this direction, firstly, is considered as environmentally friendly generation, and secondly, contributes to a qualitative increase in regional energy security level.

Energy is an integral part of the economic security of any state, and it is more complex, the lower the degree of provision with its mineral resources and the higher the number of the population living in the country. Being the undisputed world leaders in terms of population (1.4 billion people and 1.3 billion people), China and India are concerned about ensuring the energy security of their national economies. According to the latest forecasts formed by the International Energy Agency, by 2040, these two countries will become world leaders in terms of imports of mineral products (in this case: crude oil and natural gas). China is the world leader in exporting goods; India is implementing an economic and industrial policy to turn the country into a world manufacturing hub. In this regard, providing countries with energy resources is one of the most critical tasks. At the same time, a significant problem is a dependence on regular supplies of raw materials and world prices for energy carriers. Respectively, countries should pursue a policy of diversification of suppliers of mineral products. The subject of this study is the Republic of India and its position in the world energy markets; issues of energy security and energy policy are also highlighted.

Ensuring energy security is one of the priority objectives on the Ukrainian-Romanian-Moldovan dimension. Undeniable is the fact that the energy situation în these three countries differs considerably. But the need for cooperation is evident and caused by our countries' aspirations for sustainable development, economic growth and the welfare of the population în the region. The Republic of Moldova is a net importer of energy, the natural gas purchased from a unique source representing the major fuel source. Much of the country's electricity consumption is covered by imports from Ukraine. The bilateral relations of cooperation between Romania and Moldova în the energy sector refer în particular to the practical realization of the interconnection investment projects în the natural gas segment through the second phase of the Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline to Chisinau, as well as on the electricity segment. Achieving projects to connect to the EU energy system would create an efficient energy security network for all states în the area and favorable conditions for the multifunctional development of the economy of all countries în the region.
