New records of Leptoglossus occidentalis Heidemann from Andean region is given, becoming the first occurrence within the province of Chubut. The specimens were collected in different environments of urban and periurban areas -both domiciliary and peridomiciliary-, from Esquel, Trevelin and Aldea Escolar. This report extends its southern distribution area to the parallel 43°S.

There is extensive research of the Ephemeroptera communities taxonomy and ecology in the Andean region of Colombia. However, other regions such as the Orinoquia have been insufficiently studied. From this region, in the Meta department, four species have been registered: Varipes lasiobrachius Lugo-Ortiz & McCafferty, Coryphorus aquilus Peters, Miroculis (Atroari) colombiensis Savage & Peters and Tricorythopsis rondoniensis (Dias, Cruz & Ferreira). The main objective of this study is to report for the first time for this region the species: Mayobaetis ellenae (Mayo), Hydrosmylodon primanus (Eaton), Haplohyphes baritu Domínguez, Camelobaetidus edmundsi Dominique, Mathuriau & Thomas and Nanomis galera Lugo-Ortiz & McCafferty.

New records of Megalops atlanticus Valenciennes, 1847 in the state of São Paulo, southeastern Brazil, are reported from recreational catches carried out in February 2017. Data collected is the first occurrence of this species in more than 50 years, extending its geographic distribution by about 250 km, from Cananéia, in the south, to Guarujá, on the central coast. Although rarely recorded, M. atlanticus is present off the coast of São Paulo. This possibly represents the southernmost distribution for M. atlanticus in the Southwest Atlantic.

During an inventory fieldwork carried out at Usina Salgado property in the county of Ipojuca, Pernambuco, Brazil, we captured a Lionycteris spurrelli specimen in a forest fragment known as Mata do Mingú (8° 31' 29" S and 35° 03' 26" W). This marks the first occurrence for the northeast region and therefore, the first record for the state of Pernambuco, widening its distribution area within Atlantic Forest. The extension of the occurrence area points out this record as being the oriental limit for the species.

Bryophyte is a division of plants that lives on land, generally it is green and reproduces through spores, has ecological and economic functions, and plays an important role in forest ecosystems. It spreads out almost in all parts of the earth with different characters in each group. It is divided into 3 groups, namely liverwort, true moss, and hornwort, which are phylogeny and true liverwort is in the same lineage. The number of bryophytes species is around 18000 with the largest distribution area of bryophyte diversity in tropical and subtropical latitudes, such as the Malesia region which includes Malaysia, Indonesia, Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, and Brunei. Various studies were carried out related to the diversity of bryophyte, especially in the Malesia region, and found various types including new species, new records, and new characters.

A survey of the ‘Symphyta’ of Colombia is conducted, based on information from literature as well as on examination of over 2,000 specimens from the major Colombian entomological collections. A total of 127 species are recorded from Colombia, representing six families: Argidae (48 species), Tenthredinidae (37) Pergidae (37), Xiphydriidae (3 species), Siricidae (1 species) and Orussidae (1 species). 11 genera and 68 species are new records for Colombia, doubling the number of previously reported species. Heteroperreyia (Pergidae) is recorded for the first time in northern South America. Most records and species are concentrated in the Andean region. Four new species are described: Acrogymnidia catalina Malagón-Aldana, sp. nov., Ptenos amazonicus Malagón-Aldana, sp. nov. (Argidae), Heteroperreyia andina Malagón-Aldana, sp. nov. (Pergidae) and Derecyrta risaraldensis Malagón-Aldana, sp. nov. (Xiphydriidae). The following taxonomic changes are proposed, and lectotypes designated for all these nominal taxa: Dochmioglene suppar (Konow, 1903), comb. n., Plaumanniana parmata (Konow, 1903), comb. n., and Proselandria analis (Fabricius, 1804), comb. n.; Plaumanniana biclinia (Konow, 1899) = Stromboceros marcidus Konow, 1899, syn. n.; Proselandria analis (Fabricius, 1804) = Stromboceros brevispinis Konow, 1908, syn. n., Monophadnus trichiotomus Cameron, 1911, syn. n. and Romaniola amazonica Forsius, 1925, syn. n.

AbstractThe distribution and variability of the subspecies of Panorpa germanica in south-eastern Europe are shown. The type-specimens of P. gibberosa MeLachlan, 1869 and P. titschacki Esben-Petersen, 1934, which must be regarded as subspecies of germanica, were re-examined and are described. P. germanica titschacki is distributed in southern Yugoslavia and central northern Greece. P. germanica graeca Lauterbach is not as widespread as Lauterbach (1972) suggested as some of his types belong to titschacki. P. germanica is still unknown from the Peloponnesus, ♀♀ mentioned from there by Willmann (1974) are P. lacedaemonia. Contradicting Bartos (1965) P. cognata is not known from Albania since the specimens determined by him as cognata belong to germanica. The relationships between several subspecies of P. germanica are discussed. New records of the allied P. lacedaemonia are added and used to indicate the distribution area of this species.

This paper presents important faunistic records including location data with all details conducted in the Czech and Slovak Republics during 2020. Four new non-native species, Arion intermedius, Ambigolimax valentianus, Clathrocaspia knipowitschii and Krynickillus melanocephalus, were recorded outdoors in Slovakia. Radix lagotis was genetically confirmed for the first time from several sites in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Corbicula fluminea, recorded in Moravia for the first time in 2018, was found in another river, ca 50 km far from the first occurrence. Cepaea nemoralis, recorded in Slovakia for the first time in 2015, seems to have started spreading. New sites of Cornu aspersum were noticed in Prague and Bratislava; for the first time it was also found in Brno. There are also new records of several endangered species, e.g. Vertigo moulinsiana, Pisidium hibernicum, P. globulare, and Pseudanodonta complanata, presented.

<p>The calanoid copepod <em>Heterocope borealis</em> has been assumed to have an extremely northern distribution in Norway, limited to the north-eastern parts of Finnmark county. The recent records of the species in Lake Fustvatn and Lake Røssvatn in Nordland county was therefore quite unexpected. These lakes are located roughly 700 km south-west of the known distribution area in Norway. There is data on planktonic and/or littoral microcrustaceans from several hundred lakes between the known localities in Finnmark and the two new records in Nordland. The distribution of <em>H. borealis</em> in Finland and Sweden shows a scattered occurrence both in the northern and southern parts of the countries. Possible explanations for the occurrence of the species in the two lakes in Nordland are discussed.</p>

Our new records from two protected areas in the municipalities of Itacaré and Uruçuca, both in southern Bahia, Brazil, extend the known distribution area of Rhinella boulengeri 180 km south from the type locality (Salvador - Rio Cururipe) and 112 km northeast from the municipality of Arataca, state of Bahia.
