Worldwide, educational institution has channeled big investments towards building information systems. This paperdeals with data marts ideas, which is a database, or collection of databases, designed to help managers make strategic decisionsabout their business. In this paper we suggest a project named IC-DM for the educational institution which has access to twodifferent data marts that user will need to decide which is the most appropriate for the project that they are working on. Datafrom multiple sources, and multiple levels was linked, or merged into a data mart.

Currently in the dynamic environment, organizations are confronted with new and growingly vital decisions which can impact their very survival. In fact, these demands are increasing the pressure on Information Technology in order to ensure that data will be delivered properly at the right time and faster rate. In this paper, we propose to build a virtual data mart, especially for Organizational KPIs by using data virtualization technology, which can be used to help KPI developers to build and update performance management system quickly and make these systems work in real time. In this paper, we  present a way of identifying and building virtual data marts for Organizational KPIs. The basic principle underlying the proposed approach is that the design of virtual data marts should be driven by the business needs and organizational requirements that each virtual data mart is expected to address. As a consequence, the virtual data mart design process must be based on a deep understanding of the top management’s need and users' expectations. A prototype is recommended to validate the use of the proposed method.

Data from multiple sources are loaded into the organization data warehouse for analysis. Since some OLAP queries are quite frequently fired on the warehouse data, their execution time is reduced by storing the queries and results in a relational database, referred as materialized query database (MQDB). If the tables, fields, functions, and criteria of input query and stored query are the same but the query criteria specified in WHERE or HAVING clause do not match, then they are considered non-synonymous to each other. In the present research, the results of non-synonymous queries are generated by reusing the existing stored results after applying UNION or MINUS operations on them. This will reduce the execution time of non-synonymous queries. For superset criteria values of input query, UNION operation is applied, and for subset values, MINUS operation is applied. Incremental result processing of existing stored results, if required, is performed using Data Marts.

This paper arose from the perceived need to make a contribution towards assessing a strategic information system by using a new method for eliciting the weights of criteria. This is considered one of the most complex and important stages in multicriteria models. Multicriteria models have been proposed to support decisions in the context of information systems given that problems in this field deal with many conflicting criteria. The new procedure for eliciting the weights of the criteria has the advantage of requiring less effort from the decision-maker and, thus, the risk of inconsistent answers is minimized. Therefore, a model based on this new procedure is proposed and applied using data from a glass packaging factory that needs to select a single information system from a set of systems previously identified as relevant. The results obtained are consistent both with the performance of alternatives and with the additive model used to evaluate the alternatives.

At the present stage of the development of the construction industry, based on the principles of sustainable development, special attention should be paid to the formation of construction waste. Reserves for improving the level of efficiency of waste management can be found in the application of modern information technologies and their adaptation to resource-saving problems. The use of information systems is advisable at all stages of the life cycle of a building. Today, the technology of building information modeling (BIM) is actively developing, which can significantly reduce the amount of waste generation in construction. This is possible with its implementation at the design stage, in order to avoid irrational design decisions, collisions, etc. Information systems for data transmission allow rapid exchange of information between project participants, promptly warn about changes in space-planning decisions, materials, structures and equipment. At the stage of operation, in the presence of the information model of the building, it is possible to create a planning system for the organization of works of major overhaul or reconstruction. This article also proposes a description of the functions that an information system must have aimed at coordinating the management of construction waste in the region.

One of the most widely researched issue on higher education relates to exposed paths that lead to academic success. Nowadays information systems represent an essential part of the education sector in many universities. In particular, the increasing of the number of students in higher education in Portugal leads to the progressive increase of student’s data contained in institutional information systems. This article aims to include the use of student data contained in the Fénix information system of a Portuguese higher educational institution, turning their information in an internal tool, to assist analysis and studies of internal academic success. Providing relevant data for queries can offer a clearer explanation of the paths to success in higher education. It can also help the identification of problems and failures aiming to support a more effective intervention of institutions and researchers to improve the academic success.

Introduction. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an auspicious approach that supports management and exchange of semantically rich 3D models across design disciplines. Recently, BIM has gained widespread acceptance in the AEC industry, and it improves the efficiency and quality of the process by facilitating the early exchange of 3D building models. At different stages of the life cycle, a building information model is gradually refined from rough conceptual design to detailed individual components. The task is to develop mechanisms for machine verification (authentication) of data transmitted to/from different systems (for example, from a customer to an expert evaluation authority, from a contractor to the urban planning management information system or any other state information system) in the form of an information model of capital construction facilities or certain components of an information model. Materials and methods. To substantiate the choice of the language employed to describe machine-readable documents, various use cases of XML schemas were analyzed, including the use of the Google Trends tool. Information systems, implemented in the Russian Federation, were also considered. Most of them use the W3C XML Schema language to describe XSD schemas. Results. A consolidated list of XML schemas, necessary and sufficient to maintain stages of the life cycle of a capital construction facility in terms of interaction with the Urban Planning Management Information System is presented. To ensure interaction between the life cycle participants and state information systems, it is necessary to have the list of XML schemas approved at the federal level. The paper presents matrixes of scenarios for the application of XML schemas in the following coordinates: participants, life cycle stages. Conclusions. XML schemas can be supplemented in respect of various stages of a life cycle of a capital construction faci-lity to be verified with due regard for further methodological approaches and changes in regulatory and technical acts; new approaches and the need for this supplementation must be substantiated.

Major decision making process using large amount of data can be done by various techniques using data mining. In education sectors various data mining techniques are implemented to analyze the student’s data from the admission process itself. Due to large number of educational institution in India, excellence becomes a major parameter for the institutions to grow and with stand. Nowadays education institutions use data mining techniques to show their excellence. The main objective of this work to present an analysis of individual semester wise results of engineering college students using different techniques of data mining. Here we used different classification algorithms like decision tree, rule based, function based and Bayesian algorithms to analyze the semester results and comparison is made by considering parameters like accuracy and error rate. Our output shows the most suited algorithm for analyzing data in educational institutions.

This research is motivated by quality human resource planning that can be created through Madrasah educational institutions as formal education providers.  Madrasah gains the public's trust in preparing and delivering the nation's generation of children to be able to compete in global competitions whose impact is increasingly being felt in social life.  Educational human resource planning is the most important element in every educational institution, the success of the institution in achieving its goals and various targets as well as its ability to face various challenges, both internal and external, is largely determined by the ability to manage human resources as precisely as possible.  This proves that Madrasahs need human resource management in the field of education, with their managerial and operational functions, and supported by competent educators and education staff, so Madrasahh will have the power to grow, be productive, and competitive. The approach in this research is qualitative. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. Checking the validity of the data by using triangulation methods, data sources, and theories. The findings of this study indicate that education human resource planning in developing superior Madrasah has carried out internal and external analysis with a needs analysis model, recruitment system, and selection system based on Khidmah.

Developments in web mapping and web based geographic information systems (GIS) have evolved rapidly over the past two decades. What began as online map images available to a small group of geospatial experts and professionals has developed to a comprehensive and interactive web map based on integrated information from multiple sources and manipulated by masses of users globally. This paper introduces a framework that outlines the eras of web mapping and significant developments among those eras. From this framework, some of the influences and trends can be determined, particularly those in relation to the development of technologies and their relation to the growth in the number and diversity of users and applications that utilise web mapping and geospatial information online.
