scholarly journals Methodological features of mapping of the nature reserve fund of Ukraine by means of interactive maps (on the example of Poltava region)

The purpose of this article is to consider the methodological features of the nature reserve fund of Ukraine (NRFU) mapping as instruments of thematic interactive map creation of the specified objects in Poltava region. It is defined as a modern mapping service. That is the result of work and an innovative and effective application tool, in particular for environmental monitoring and land management of the region. Main material. Based on modern scientific methods, types of objects of the nature reserve fund on the map are applied. The possibility to obtain additional meta-information about them through pop-up dialogues and hyperlinks are substantiated. It is proved this holistic cartographic work and at the same time dynamic information-cartographic system must match modern practice requirements. Different groups of users in the framework of environmental monitoring, regional land management etc. must be informed to perform a number of important strategic and tactical tasks. The authors formulate approaches to determining the overall effectiveness of the developed thematic interactive map through the purpose, the results of the intended use and the creation cost, maintenance at the current level. The authors applied the methodological principles of geoinformation mapping for this (heredity, system compliance, continuity, consistency, representativeness, scale, cost-effectiveness), assessing the effectiveness of the system approach, obtaining not only a general indicator but also partial estimates, flexibility of methods to change conditions use map. The algorithm of regional geoinformation mapping of the nature reserve fund of Ukraine has been developed. This is generally characterized by consistent implementation of tasks at three levels: theoretical, informational-logical and practical. The list of information mapping layers of the interactive map, which make up its contents are obtained. This is based on using various types of data from the created object-relation database, which contains 376 NRFU objects in Poltava region (98.2% filling). Conclusions. As a result of the research on the creation of a thematic interactive map of NREU in Poltava region, using effective methodological tools, the provisions of modern regional geoinformation mapping in the form of an established algorithm are formulated.

Purpose. Assessment of existing and potential nature reserves of Cherkasy region on ecological, cultural and historical grounds, as well as for organization of recreation and development of tourism in these territories. Creation of a universal database of eco-tourism through GIS by connecting digital maps of Cherkasy region for online exchange of information. This system provides data integration for users with different interests and across different age groups (schoolchildren, foreigners, athletes, holidaymakers, scientists, etc.). Methods. Vectorization of bitmaps; correction, use and storage of materials and re sults of remote sensing; collecting and anchoring field research data, constructing, designing and submitting a mapping image. Results. Geographic information technology is a tool that helps to study natural resources in more detail, to use them rationally, to carry out detailed environmental monitoring, as well as geoinformation technologies to create databases with the necessary and useful for the consumer geographical information. Therefore, such tourism databases should be created, which will carry all the information about the tourism product. The content and structure of the tourist GIS are considered, the main stages of its creation are determined. The role of tourism GIS in applied tourism studies at the administrative region level is shown. The methodological basis for the creation of tourism GIS for eco-tourism in the use of computer technologies is the general basics of the creation and operation of geoinformation systems. Conclusions. The research that will be carried out in the future will be related to the work on the development and creation of a database of objects of the nature reserve fund by the type and necessity of their use in the field of ecological tourism. For individual rural communities, the strategy for the rational use of natural resources within the objects of the nature reserve fund will be calculated on the basis of this database.

The article brings light to the study of the nature reserve fund (NRF) of Zakarpatska oblast as a component of the national heritage of the country. Representativeness is considered to be one of the main principles of spatial formation of the NRF object network. Therefore, to determine the current state and ensure further effective development of the region’s nature reserve fund, it is necessary to analyze its territorial and internal structural indicators. The purpose of the study is to analyze the current status of the region’s nature reserve fund with the reference to the possibility of introduction of the further new management practices. The article is based on information and statistical materials, the provisions of regional programs for the formation of the ecological network and environmental legislation of Ukraine. To solve the assigned tasks, there has been done a comprehensive analysis of statistical reporting data and materials of the NRF Register in Zakarpatska oblast of the Department of Ecology of Natural Resources of Zakarpattia Regional State Administration within the period of 2019, and reporting documents of environmental institutions for the same period. The considered indicator is the territorial distribution of nature reserve areas and region areas by administrative districts (before the formation and implementation of changes to the administrative-territorial structure of the Zakarpatska oblast), which is presented in the form of the division into four groups. The spatial distribution of the territory and the NFR objects do not sufficiently meet the criteria of local representativeness, so their spatial structure needs significant improvement, be specific – the creation of nature reserves, especially in the lowlands of the region. The average density of nature protection objects in the region (36 units / 1000 km2) is almost three times higher than the corresponding indicator in the neighboring Lviv region. The average value of the reserve factor in the region makes 14.17 %. It has been found that the reserve ratio demonstrates geographically the largest disproportion in Zakarpatska oblast. It is the highest indicator in turns of administrative entities in the districts of Mizhhiria, Velyky Bereznyi and Rakhiv. The lowest one is in Svaliava and Berehove districts, respectively. In addition, the reserve ratio compared to the national average indicator and in other European countries has been carried out. The quality of the nature reserve network is determined by the insularity coefficient, which indicates the size of the NRF objects and their stability. Further expansion of the network of nature protection objects in Zakarpatska oblast is possible due to the creation of Latorytsa, Shaian and Uzhok landscape parks. A big assumption can be made that by 2020 it will be possible to create new and expand existing areas of NRF in the region up to 100–120 thousand hectares, which will increase the protected area up to 20–22 %. The key issues of nature reserves to be developed in Zakarpatska oblast are primarily related to the imperfection of the management system. To handle this problem, there is an urgent need to develop a strategy, which will envisage the perception of the NRF as a holistic anthropogenic and natural unit in order to put into practice the environmental, scientific, educational and recreational functions.

Author’s approach to the choice of software and technological basis for compilation a thematic interactive map of the Natural Reserve Fund of Ukraine (NRFU) in Poltava region was offered in the article. The content of relevant key concepts and tendencies of their progressive development under the conditions of scientific-and-technological advance were revealed. On the basis of working in a full-featured and multifunctional geoinformation systems (GIS) environment practical experience, the criteria for the selection of application software products suitable for the thematic interactive maps compilation, taking into account the peculiarities of information and software of the created database of NRFU objects were determined. They were: free distribution; freedom of manipulation with functionality; dynamic development; extended documentation support; interoperability. It was selected full-featured GIS – QGIS, the most optimal GIS that was installed on the technical system or that would be used to obtain a thematic interactive map of the NRF in Poltava region. For the most part, it was characterized the content of the corresponding cartographic working out, which consists of more than 200 objects, divided into 4 main categories of national and local importance (national nature park; nature reserve of national importance; natural monuments, botanical gardens and parks of national importance; territories and local nature reserve fund objects) that were displayed with the dot, line, and plane symbols in a certain electronic map-full zoom mode. The main principles of forming of the technical and technological component in the algorithm of compilation the modern types of cartographic works were determined and adapted to the interactive specified region NRF map development. There was constructed a structural and graphical model, which represented the system settings of the most active elements of the process, determining the technological way to obtain the eventual result (a product in the form of a cartographic product or service), and was carried out with the help of the necessary tools, organized into a corresponding technological scheme.

Environmental monitoring of specially protected natural reservations in Russia makes it necessary to analyze periodically the parameters of natural reservations to identify the state of components of nature. The Bashkir Nature Reserve is located in the Southern Urals. The availability of materials on forest management in 1956, 1969, 1979, and 2016 is one of the special features of the scientific fund of the Bashkir Nature Reserve. The analysis of these materials showed stable positive dynamics of the development of coniferous and small-leaved deciduous forestry and its current state.
