Aiming at the phenomena of big time delay are normally existing in industry control, this paper proposes an intelligent GA-Smith-PID control method based on genetic algorithm and Smith predictive compensation algorithm and traditional PID controller. This method uses the ability of on line-study, a self-turning control strategy of GA, and better control of Smith predictive compensation to deal with the big time delay. This method overcomes the limitation of traditional PID control effectively, and improves the system’s robustness and self-adaptability, and gets satisfactory control to deal with the big time delay system.

In this paper we consider the neuro-control method and its application to control problems of an electric vehicle. The neuro-control methods adopted here is based on Proportional-plus-Integral-plus-Derivative (PID) control, which has been adopted to solve process control or intelligent control problems. In Japan about eighty four percent of the process industries have used the PID control. After deriving the self-tuning PID control scheme (neuro-PID) using the learning ability of the neural network, we will show the control results by using the speed and torque control of an electric vehicle.

Aim at the effect of the control method in traditional metallurgy furnace temperature is not good, a self-tuning fuzzy PID control method combining fuzzy control with PID control was proposed in this paper based on the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the PID control and fuzzy control method, and a concrete control algorithm was put forward and simulation experiment was finished. The simulation results show that the effect of the controller is good, and the control of system is fast and smoothly according to it.

In order to improve the control quality of water level for boiler drum, a fuzzy self-tuning PID level controller for boiler drum was designed based on the fuzzy logic principle. The fuzzy logic toolbox and Simulink module of Matlab software were used for the modeling of the water level control system of boiler drum. Numerical simulation was implemented. The result shows that the fuzzy self-tuning PID control has such virtues as smaller overshoot, shorter regulating time and stronger robustness than conventional three-element PID control. The fuzzy self-tuning PID control is especially effective for nonlinear system like boiler with multivariable, large time lagged and strong coupling. It is a very effective control method with widely application prospect.

Based on the complexity of brake, this paper simulated the exact relationship between time and motor drive current. According to the principle of robust design, analysis of experimental data obtained the current-driven expression, and on this basis we established PID control model based on system dynamics and BP neural network self-tuning, then, this paper improved compensation for the PID control model, got the computer control method which design the current value this time based on observations of the previous period, simulated the exact relationship between the time and the motor drive current. The energy error from observation of the control simulation is very small, which verifies the correctness of the control method.
