The purpose of this study was to identify the different incidents of critical thinking in five preschool classrooms in one school, and the instructional strategies preschool teachers employed in the development of children’s critical thinking. The participants in this study were five self-contained preschool teachers and their corresponding groups. The study explored teachers’ beliefs in regards to the role of critical thinking in their classrooms. Data collection techniques included classroom observations, document analysis, and interviews with teachers. Two over-arching findings include: a) it is possible to observe and describe numerous instances in which critical thinking is paid attention to explicitly by teachers, and b) it is possible to observe a range of classroom interactions and techniques that explicitly develop these skills among preschoolers.

Indonesia telah mengatur pembatasan tayangan asing di layar stasiun televisi dalam negeri. Regulasi tersebut tertuang dalam Undang-Undang Penyiaran Nomor 32 Tahun 2002 Pasal 36 ayat 2 yang mewajibkan setiap stasiun televisi untuk menayangkan sekurang-kurangnya 60% tayangan produksi domestik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis permasalahan tayangan asing di televisi Indonesia dalam perspektif kritis industri budaya. Metode yang dilakukan adalah metode kualitatif studi kasus. Pengambilan data dari berbagai studi dokumen dan wawancara. Data yang telah dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan teknik pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa stasiun televisi swasta melanggar ketentuan mengenai muatan tayangan asing. Ada dua masalah utama tayangan asing di televisi Indonesia. Masalah pertama adalah lemahnya peran negara terhadap penyiaran di Indonesia. Kedua adalah masalah ekonomi media khususnya terkait dengan pekerja media.   Indonesia issued the law regarding the limitation of foreign television programs in 2002. In Article 36, paragraph 2 of Law No. 32/2002 stated that every television station is obligated to broadcast domestic programs at least 60 percent of the total content. This research aimed to analyze foreign programs in Indonesia through a critical thinking perspective. This research adopted a study case, qualitative approach. Data collection was done through interviews, documents study. The collected data were analyzed by data collection, reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings showed that  The results showed that private television stations violated the provisions regarding the proportion of foreign programs. There were two main problems that emerge from foreign programs in private TV stations. The first problem was the weak role of the state in broadcasting in Indonesia. The second was the problem of the media economy, especially related to media workers.

Educational robotics have become popular worldwide with a broad range of students, including preschoolers. Although the impact of robotics technology in classrooms has been extensively studied, less is known about preschool teachers' perceptions of how robotics technology impacts learning and its relation to use in the classroom. This is problematic since we know that teachers' perceptions have a great influence on their teaching practices. This study used survey data gathered from 102 students of the Department of Preschool Education in a University in Greece. A questionnaire developed by the researchers were used as data collection tool. At the end of the study, it was determined that preservice preschool teachers' attitudes about educational robotics usage in preschool classrooms were positive although they lack in relevant knowledge. These findings are discussed with respect to their educational implications.

The aim of the article was to analyse the role of the Mpumalanga Provincial Archives (MPA), South Africa, in society in compliance with the Mpumalanga Archives Act (MAA), 1998 (Act No. 14 of 1998). The qualitative study employed document analysis, interviews and observation as forms of data collection. The population for the study was drawn from a few selected departmental representatives in the province as well as MPA representatives. The key finding was that there was non-compliance with the MAA, which has serious implications on national memory and identity. The key recommendation was for the provincial archives to appoint an advisory council to advise the provincial archives on issues of archives management. The researcher concluded that archives play an essential role in the preservation of history, culture and societal heritage.

This qualitative case study explores the integration of entrepreneurship education (EE) across the curricula in two public universities in Tanzania. Based on Shapero’s model of the entrepreneurial event, the feasibility and desirability of EE in the selected universities are analysed. In-depth interviews and document analysis were used for data collection. The findings show that cross-curricula EE remains limited, largely because its implementation does not fit the pedagogical needs of some disciplines. However, the study highlights the significant role of donor support in enhancing the feasibility of fostering EE across the curricula.

A few studies have examined endorsement of conspiracy beliefs in cohorts of future teachers. We aimed to compare endorsement of conspiracy beliefs in future teachers, as well as the teachers’ beliefs about their students’ conspiracy beliefs in three countries. We recruited 1118 students in England, Greece and France, trained to become middle school teachers. We measured future-teachers’ generic and specific conspiracy beliefs, rationality/objectivity, beliefs in non-conspiracy explanations and their perceptions about the average student’s generic conspiracy beliefs. Differences per subject across countries and dependent measures were identified. Specific conspiracy beliefs, rationality/objectivity and official non-conspiracy explanations predicted teachers’ generic conspiracy beliefs. Teachers’ generic conspiracy beliefs, rationality/objectivity and specific conspiracy beliefs predicted teachers’ perceptions about the average student’s generic conspiracy beliefs. Discussion focuses on the role of teachers’ conspiracy beliefs in mapping out critical thinking and teaching strategies for education improvement.
