Purpose This paper aims at studying the concept of innovation ecosystems and investigating the factors affecting them based on their interrelationships with respect to different innovation archetypes. Design/methodology/approach The methodology is based on using multivariate statistical analysis of the inter-correlations among a number of variables which led to extracting a reduced set of new significant factors that affect China’s innovation ecosystem. Findings The results showed that innovation archetypes differ significantly with respect to the majority of the new factors. Practical implications Through identifying these challenges, decision-makers can develop a better understanding of the variables affecting each archetype of innovation and act accordingly. Originality/value The study is the first to fill the gap of addressing a large number of variables affecting innovation and analyzing their interrelationships.

In this paper, for the problem of higher education tuition standard, by analyzing the factors of education funding, we collect and organize the relevant data about the charges of ordinary higher schools and adult higher schools, and get the main factors affecting higher schools tuition; Then, on this basis, we do multivariate statistical analysis for the data and get the calculation formula about the charges tuition standard of higher schools, calculating the standard fee of the two types of schools.

The article examines the level of sustainable development of the travel business in the Odessa region of Ukraine. This level is evaluated as a latent indicator, which is characterized by a certain set of signs-symptoms. The methodology used for modeling is Partial Least Squares-Path Modelling (or PLS-PM) and the method Time-Wise Multi-Way Principal Component Analysis. This approach allowed us to identify and evaluate latent and explicit factors affecting the sustainable development of travel business in the Odessa region.

In this paper, it was analysed the influence of formulation factors over obtaining oxicam hydrogels, using the statistical analysis. Data analysis and predictive modeling by multivariate regression offers a large number of possible explanatory/predictive variables. Therefore, variable selection and dimension reduction is a major task for multivariate statistical analysis, especially for multivariate regressions. The statistical analysis and computational data processing of responses obtained from different pharmaceutical formulations, via different experimental protocols, lead to the optimization of the formulation process. It was found that the most suitable pharmaceutical formulations based on oxicams with the possibility of rapid release contained cyclodextrin, in particular 2-hydroxypropyl-b-cyclodextrin.
