The current study aims to cross-culturally validate the Music Empathizing (ME) inventory in China. In total, 515 Chinese participants completed the Chinese version of ME in tandem with two supporting scales, namely, the Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) and the Music USE (MUSE) questionnaire. Confirmatory factor analyses, correlation analyses, t-tests, and multiple regressions were conducted. The current results illustrated an innovative structural model for ME (i.e., the Agreement–Disagreement model), revealed significant predictors of ME (i.e., optional music training, interpersonal empathy, and the affective and social reasons for approaching music), and indicated a non-significant sex difference in ME with the Chinese participants. To conclude, the current study showed the validity of ME in evaluating music empathy in a Chinese setting. More importantly, since the previous studies of ME were restricted to Western populations, the current study presented the first observation of ME in Asian cultures.

The purpose of this study was to determine the simultaneous and partial influence of products and advertisements and the most dominant variables on the purchase decision of Yamaha Jupiter MX motorcycles. The type of research used is explanatory research. The population is JMC Community (Jupiter MX Club) Surabaya as many as 56 people who know the Jupiter MX ad version of 'Bridge Collapse'.  Saturated sampling technique is the entire population. The analysis technique used is multiple regressions with significant tests of F and t. The results of the analysis showed that products and advertisements simultaneously had a significant effect on purchasing decisions.  While the results of the analysis partially, it was concluded that: (1) The product has a significant effect on purchasing decisions. (2) Advertising has a significant effect on purchasing decisions. Product variables have a dominant effect on purchasing decisions.  Based on the findings of this study, Yamaha manufacturers should still pay attention to product variables and advertising because it is proven to have a large influence on consumer purchasing decisions. As per the lowest score, then the quality of Jupiter MX products needs to be improved.  Keyword: Product, Advertisement, Buying Decision.

ABSTRACT Context: Previously, the most common treatment for a concussion was prolonged physical and cognitive rest. Recent research suggests that earlier physical activity (PA) may be better at promoting recovery. Research has not evaluated the relationship between free-living PA (e.g., walking) and symptom reporting or recovery duration. Objective: To assess the relationship between free-living physical activity (PA) participation and two recovery outcomes in college-aged adults with a concussion. Design: Prospective Cohort Setting: Division 1 & 3 Universities Participants: Thirty-two college-aged adults (68.8% female, age: 19.8±1.4) with a concussion. Main Outcome Measures: Participants completed a post-concussion symptom evaluation at visits 1 (<72 hours from concussion) and 2 (8 days later). Between visits, participants' PA was monitored using an Actigraph GT9X Link PA monitor and expressed as total PA (counts per minute) and percent time of PA spent in moderate-to-vigorous intensity (%MVPA). Recovery time was the number of days from injury occurrence to medical clearance. Separate hierarchical multiple regressions evaluated the relationship between total PA and each recovery variable (visit 2 symptom severity, recovery time). Additionally, separate exploratory hierarchical multiple regressions evaluated the relationship between %MVPA and each recovery variable. Statistical significance was set a priori at p ≤ .05. Results: Participants averaged 2446±441 counts per minute and spent 12.1±4.2% of their PA performing MVPA. Participants yielded median symptom severities of 28[24] and 2[8] for visit 1 and 2, respectively. Average recovery time was 14.7±7.5 days. Total PA did not significantly contribute to the model for visit 2 symptom severity (p=.122) or recovery time (p=.301). Similarly, %MVPA had little contribution to the model for visit 2 symptom severity (p=.358) or recovery time (p=.276). Conclusion: Results suggest that free-living PA may not be enough to reduce symptoms or shorten recovery. Thus, clinicians may need to provide patients with more structured PA protocols mimicking previous research.

This study aims to determine the influence of personality, attitude, motivation, and environment on the entrepreneurial spirit both partially and simultaneously. The research method uses a survey with 39 teachers of school cooperatives and respondents numbering 33 people. Primary data was obtained using questionnaires supported by observations and interviews on cooperative teachers and related parties: data analysis using descriptive statistics and multiple regressions with t-test and F tests. The results showed that personality, attitude, motivation, and the environment simultaneously and partially influenced positively and significantly the entrepreneurial spirit. The four variables contributed to the entrepreneurial spirit by 80.30%, while factors outside the research influenced 19.70%. The environment is the variable that contributes the most to the entrepreneurial spirit with a percentage of 23.52%, followed by personality by 20.91%, motivation 19.88%, and attitude 15.99%.

This study explored the relationship between belief in conspiracy theories and the personality disorders. A sample of 475 British adults, aged around 30 years, completed measures of Belief in Conspiracy Theories (CTs) and the Personality Disorders (PDs), as well as the SAPAS, a short intelligence test and two self-evaluations. Belief in CTs was correlated with nearly all PDs, as well as the three established higher order clusters (A: odd and eccentric; B: dramatic and emotional; C: anxious). A series of stepwise multiple regressions were computed. A final regression showed five of the variables (education, intelligence, Cluster A, B, and C) were significant, which indicated that less well-educated and less intelligent participants, scoring higher on two PD clusters (Cluster A and B) but lower on Cluster C, believed more in the CTs. Implications of the study for understanding the origin of CTs is discussed. Limitations of the study, particularly the sample and measures used, are acknowledged.

Generally, when the independent variable of a given exponential function is used as an exponent, the function is considered an exponential. Thus, the following can be examples of exponential functions: $f(x) = ab^x + c$, $f(x) = ae^bx + c$, or $f(x) = e^{a^2+bx+c}$. However, deriving functions of these types given the set of ordered pairs is difficult. This study was conducted to derive formulas for the arbitrary constants a ,b, and $c$ of the exponential function $f(x) = ab^x + c$. It applied the inductive method by using definitions of functions to derive the arbitrary constants from the patterns produced. The findings of the study were: a) For linear, given the table of ordered pairs, equal differences in $x$ produce equal first differences in $y$; b) for quadratic, given the table of ordered pairs, equal differences in $x$ produce equal second differences in $y$; and c) for an exponential function, given a table of ordered pairs, equal differences in $x$ produce a common ratio in the first differences in y. The study obtained the following forms: $b=\sqrt[d]{r}$, $a=\frac{q}{b^n {(b^d-1)}}$, $c=p-ab^n$. Since most models developed used the concept of linear and multiple regressions, it is recommended that pattern analysis be used specifically when data are expressed in terms of ordered pairs.

The article presents the principles of the method of operational investigation of rolling stock derailment. This method is intended to identify the most significant mechanical reasons for transport accidents in order to find directions to further improving the safety requirements for the state of maintenance of freight cars and tracks on the basis of the data. The developed method establishes a general methodological order of conducting computer simulation of the dynamics of rolling stock of multivariate studies on calculating the safety indicators of train’s motion, and shows the significance of technical factors that provoked a certain event. By this method, the operational investigation of rolling stock derailment is based on the development of adequate computer models of dynamics of cars in trains. In this case, in detail, all the features of the car, which descended from the rails, are first. The presented method is based on the principles of factor analysis, where the intervals of varying events are presented in natural units of measurement. In this case, the assessment of security indicators for each research of the experiment plan is also carried out taking into account their dimension. As a result, the function of multiple regressions on the chosen indicator of motion safety allows not only to determine the significance of the factor of the ascent, but also to establish the level of factors, with exceeding the criteria for motion safety, that is, to determine the boundaries of the region with an acceptable level of motion safety.
