ABSTRACTBackground. Indonesia is a developing country which is one of 117 countries that has three nutritional problems in toddlers namely stunting, wasting and overweight. Based on data of Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) on 2013 prevalence malnutrition in Indonesia has increased 1.7%. Approximately 16% of toddler experience motor development disorder and 1: 100 children have less intelligence and speech delay. The process of early detection and stimulation of growth and development into things that should not be underestimated in order to create a generation of quality successors who are able to grow and develop well. Early detection of growth and development is one effort that can be done early childhood teachers, mothers and teachers to detect any behavioral drift of growth.Methodology. This research used cross sectional with observational approach. Determination of location and sample using purposive sampling in BKB PAUD Serdang Urban Village Kemayoran Central Jakarta with sample amount 95 childrenResult. Showing that of 95 children 58 (61%) female and 37 (39%) men. Age of child in early childhood is highest in> 4 - 5 years amounted to 35 (36.8%) and 2 - 3 years amounted to 6 (6.3%). 1 Nutrition status was found less than 34 (37,9%), more nutrition 6 (6,3%) and Obesity 6 (6,3%). The results of early detection of child deviation by using Pre-Screening Development Questionnaire (KPSP) as many as 85 (89.5%) in accordance with the development, but there are 7 (7.4%) doubtful children and 3 (3.2) possibility of deviation.Key words. Abstract We assessed age- and sex-related variation in those proteins commonly measured to evaluate protein catabolic losses in patients in acute care. We determined concentrations of iron and iron-binding capacity, transferrin, albumin, prealbumin, and retinol-binding protein in sera from 158 healthy blood donors and 48 hospitalized patients, then grouped the data according to age (by decade) and sex. There was no significant variation in either category. For the total nondiseased population the concentrations of three proteins (means SD, and range) were: transferrin, 2760, 510, 1740-3780 mg/L (population CV 18.5%); prealbumin, 296, 49, 200-390 mg/L (CV 16.6%); retinol-binding protein, 60, 127, 35-85 mg/L (CV 21.2%). Prealbumin and retinol-binding protein concentrations were highly correlated (r = 0.803). Because prealbumin can be easily monitored and its assay is subject to few interferences, we conclude that determination of prealbumin is suitable for assessing the existence and severity of nutritional metabolic deficits.

A new optical instrument for fast determination of pear leaves nitrogen status was designed and fabricated. A multi-spectral imaging system was used as optical detector. In the paper, the principle of multi-spectral imaging for the measurement of leaves nitrogen status was first introduced. Then, the method of using error back propagation artificial neural network (BP-ANN) for calibration modeling was elaborated. Mean reflective light intensities in all images covering blue, green, red and infrared wavelength were taken as the input data to BP-ANN. The structure of BP-ANN with three layers has been optimized to minimize its calibration error. In the test, total 200 leave samples picked from Huang-hua pear trees planted in three orchards with different nitrogen fertilizing schemes. Among them, 150 samples were selected randomly out as for calibration set with the remaining 50 for prediction set. The result shows that correlation coefficient of R2 between predicted and measured values of nitrogen content reaches 0.82 with maximum prediction error less than 4.72(SPAD). The study suggests that the new optical method integrating multi-spectral images with BP-ANN is promising for fast diagnosis of fruit tree nutrition status.
