Aiming at solving the problem that the existing restoring strand operation mechanism cannot realize self-adaption to the variation of position and shape of transmission lines, a method for self-adaptive mechanism design is introduced and summarized to meliorate the mechanism. This method is effective and practical, which can be applied to most common mechanism design: first of all, analyze the structural features of the self-adaptive mechanism; secondly, establish a universal method to determine the structure type named as initial kinematic chain which contains information of the degree of freedom (DOF), the number of links and the kinematic relations between every two of them; finally, considering the features of the existing mechanism, apply the self-adaption design to realize the required mechanism by inverting the initial kinematic chain, and build models and simulations to prove that the improved mechanism does have the ability of self-adaption to the location and shape variation of transmission lines.

In the context of south china electricity market, the concept of contract transfer and replacement deal is set forth in advance which is specialized in electricity treatment. Then, the feasibility of conducting an inter-provincial contract transfer and replacement is analyzed according to the aspects of physical characteristics, economics and policies within the china southern power grid. In addition, the advantage and disadvantage are also presented in terms of bilateral negotiation and centralized biding transaction modes. After that, the pricing mechanism and transaction mode are deliberately designed pertaining to three different situations including a party power shortage and a party "abandon water", a party power supply shortage and a party power surplus and a party power surplus and a party "abandon water". Finally, the realistic feasibility of the proposed schemes is verified through an employed numerical example.

Purpose This study aims to formulate a mechanism design in the derivatives market, summarizing a framework to set up the Brazilian electricity futures market. Design/methodology/approach This exploratory study formulates a mechanism design in the derivatives market, summarizing a framework to set up the Brazilian electricity futures market. Findings The results show a positive economic outcome for the creation of the Brazilian futures electricity market. Originality/value The main feature in this work is to summarize a framework to set up the Brazilian electricity futures market applying mechanism design, applicable in other countries. The features of the mechanism are the space of expected results (Z), the strategies to survey the environmental space (θ) and the mechanism design – messages space (M).
