Abstract. This research is a learning device development research that will be used in learning with the Project based Learning (PjBL) model with the help of technology, in this case using Geogebra software. Geogebra Software is a dynamic mathematical software that combines geometry, algebra and calculus can be used as a tool in mathematical learning. Geogebra is a special mathematical program that can be used as a medium for learning mathematics. This research was conducted in one of the high schools in Deli Serdang Regency. Development of learning is done gradually in accordance with step 4D, then the researchers simplify the changing of the four stages (4D) into three stages (3D) is defining, designing, and development. Keywords: Teaching Materials, Project Based Learning (PjBL), Geogebra Software

This study aims to find out the improvement of students’ mathematical critical thinking viewed from curiosity through teaching materials with Problem Based Learning model. This is quasi-experimental research. The samples are, where the overall population consists of 75 samples divided into two classes.  This research employed a simple random sampling technique.  The instruments were the mathematical critical thinking skill test and curiosity questionnaire. The technique of data collection was carried out with test and non-test techniques. The data were analyzed through a two-way Anova test. Based on the analysis and interpretation of the research findings, it was found that: there was an improvement in students’ mathematical critical thinking skill from High curiosity by using teaching materials with Problem Based Learning model; 1) There was an improvement from  Average curiosity through learning with Integral Calculus teaching materials; 2) There was an improvement from Low curiosity; 3) There was no improvement from the level of curiosity (High,  Medium,  Low) through Problem-based Learning. 4) There was no influence between the level of curiosity and learning in improving students’ mathematical critical thinking skills. Do more in-depth studies related to improving mathematical critical thinking skills by reviewing other affective aspects

ABSTRACT The difficulty of students in understanding the material in the integral calculus print book is one factor that makes student learning outcomes low. The difference in students' abilities is one of the considerations in developing process. This study aims to develop integral calculus teaching material using the aptitude treatment interaction (ATI) approach assisted by Macromedia flash. This research belongs to the development research. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires and tests. Indicators of the results of this study are teaching materials declared worthy of use and students who get optimal learning outcomes> 75%. The stages in the study consisted of ten stages that began with discovering potentials and problems to mass production. The results of the study showed that the integral calculus teaching material made was feasible to use. As many as 79% of students achieve optimal learning outcomes.

This chapter outlines the structure of the initial module of a pilot project investigating the benefits of using dynamical mathematical software when teaching students about cross-curricular models of thinking. Focus is on the use of conceptual metaphors when teaching the concept of infinity in mathematics as well as in literature. The use of dynamical mathematics software facilitated constructions of multiple representations in problem solving in a series of carefully selected problems involving infinity. The pilot project is currently being evaluated, but preliminary findings indicate an increased student awareness of the usefulness of the software when learning how to use mathematical inscriptions for problem solving. The pilot project will be expanded in the Fall 2011 to include 6 classes across Denmark to test the applicability of the software, the teaching model and the teaching materials in a variety of classes to see if the initial successes of the project can be replicated.
