The application of faded examples techniques to improve student’s problem solving ability on trigonometry at high school level AbstractThis study was aimed to produce and describe the quality of the developed Trigonometric Senior High School Science Program Enrichment’s Instructional Materials using Faded-Examples Techniques to Improve Problem Solving Ability. The quality of the developed teaching materials include all aspects of validity, effectiveness, and practicality. This was a developmental research used three phases Plomp’s model which consists of: (1) preliminary studies which involved the needs and context analysis, (2) product design development, and (3) the evaluation process of product validation and implementation. The development process involves two experts as validator, one teacher, and 50 students (X pengayaan 1 and X pengayaan 2). The study results the trigonometric enrichment’s teaching materials which consists of the teacher’s textbook and the student’s textbook that was developed using the faded-examples technique. This technique based on The Cognitive Load Theory (CLT) instructional design. The results of the study showed that the quality of the developed trigonometric enrichment’s teaching materials is “very good” according to lecturer validation and “practical” according to the evaluation from the teachers and students. The results of the learning showed that 100% of the students passed the minimum grade criteria of problem solving skills.

Connectivism learning model to improve students' problem solving skills are intended to provide teaching materials that match the characteristics of the students. The focus in this study a Connectivism learning products to enhance problem-solving skills for students at MTs. Nurul Jadid Mojokerto. Connectivism learning products to enhance problem-solving skills for students at MTs. Nurul Jadid Mojokerto has been refined based on the analysis of trial data. Based on the measures that have been implemented can be concluded as follows. 1). Products developed interesting for classical learning in the classroom and independently. 2) The products of this product can ease the burden of teachers in teaching. 3) The results of expert validation and testing, it's a good learning model connectivism used for subjects.4) Judging the results of analysis of the quality of the learning model connectivism above it can be concluded that the RPP / Scenario Learning is already fit for use for the trial because the score of each component which is an indicator for the learning model connectivism no less than 3.0. 5) The results of the questionnaire data processing model of learning by using learning connectivism known that the average student's choice is 3:53, it is considered Enough with standard deviations 12:35

Abstract The purpose of this study was to describe the validity of authentic learning-based electronic thermodynamic teaching materials to train students’ problem-solving skills during the covid-19 pandemic. The model used in this study was the ASSURE development model, which only reached the third stage, namely Selection of Media and Materials. The validation of teaching materials was assessed by three validators consisting of two physics education academics and one practitioner. Based on the validation results, it was found that the authentic learning-based electronic thermodynamic teaching material for training students’ problem-solving skills was declared valid with a value of 3.14. Appropriate teaching materials can then be used in schools’ teaching and learning processes and tested for practicality and effectiveness.

Problem-solving skills are the basic capabilities of a person in solving a problem and that involve critical thinking, logical, and systematic. To solve a problem one-way necessary measures to solve the problem. Polya is one way to solve a mathematical problem. by developing teaching materials designed using the steps in solving problems Polya expected students could improve its ability to solve problems. In this first year, the goal of this study is to investigate the process of learning the hypothetical development of teaching materials. This study is a research & development. Procedure development research refers to research the development of Thiagarajan, Semmel & Semmel ie 4-D. Model development in the first year is define, design, and development. The collection of data for the assessment of teaching materials algebra equations conducted by the expert by filling the validation sheet. Having examined the materials of algebraic equations in the subject of numerical methods, reviewing the curriculum that is aligned with KKNI, and formulates learning outcomes that formed the conceptual teaching material on the material algebraic equations. From the results of expert assessment team found that the average ratings of teaching materials in general algebraic equation of 4.38 with a very good category. The limited test needs to be done to see effectiveness teaching materials on problem-solving skills in students who are taking courses numerical methods

This study aims to produce teaching materials to improve problem-solving skills that are feasible to use as a class XII physics learning media on sound wave material. In addition, it is also to find out the response of students to teaching materials developed in terms of meeting the standards of usability and quality. This research is R & D research with design according to Borg including: needs analysis, product planning and development, product development, product evaluation, and final products. The instructional materials developed have been implemented in 63 students of class XII SMAN 5 Semarang. Data collection is done by giving a validation sheet to the senior teacher. Data on students 'problem solving abilities were obtained from the results of the pretest and posttest while the students' performance was seen from the observation of practical activities in the laboratory. Students are also given a questionnaire to provide input on the teaching materials that have been developed. The results of the study indicate that the product of development is declared feasible based on expert judgment. Implementation of teaching materials in physics learning in sound wave material is able to improve problem solving skills and student performance.
