Crackers are one of the favorite foods of Indonesian people which are made from flour mixture mixed with flavoring ingredients. UD.Eman is one of the factories that produces folding crackers. The instability of cracker orders which are sometimes high and sometimes low makes UD. Eman difficult in determining the amount of cracker production. These problems can be solved by using the Fuzzy Tsukamoto method by using 3 fuzzy variables, namely demand [x] where, inventory [y], production [z]. From the results of research conducted can produce clarity for the production of crackers per day. If the demand for 800 packs per day and stock of 500 packs per day, 947 packs of crackers can be produced per day.

This article discusses the application of methods to enhance the knowledge of experts to build a decision-making model based on the processing of physical data on the real state of the environment. Environmental parameters determine its ecological state. To carry out research in the field of expert assessment of environmental conditions, the analysis of known works in this field is carried out. The results of the analysis made it possible to justify the relevance of the application of analytical, stochastic models and models based on methods of enhancing the knowledge of experts — experts. It is concluded that the results of using analytical and stochastic objects are inaccurate, due to the complexity and poor mathematical description of the objects. The relevance of developing information support for an expert assessment of environmental conditions is substantiated. The difference of this article is that based on the analysis of the application of expert methods for assessing the state of the environment, a fuzzy logic adoption model and information support for assessing the environmental state of the environment are proposed. The formalization of the parameters of decision-making models using linguistic and fuzzy variables is considered. The formalization of parameters of decision-making models using linguistic and fuzzy variables was considered. The model’s description of fuzzy inference is given. The use of information support for environment state assessment is shown on the example of experts assessing of the land desertification stage.

Linguistic variables can better approximate the fuzziness of man’s thinking, which are important tools for multiple attribute decision-making problems. This paper establishes the possibility-based ELECTRE II model under the environment of uncertain linguistic fuzzy variables and uncertain weight information. By introducing the degree of possibility to ELECTRE II model, the concordance set, the discordance set and the indifferent set are obtained, respectively. Furthermore, the concordance index is redefined by considering deviation index under the same attribute, by which the strong and weak relationships are constructed, and then the rank of alternatives is obtained. A numerical example about the evaluation of socio-economic systems is employed to illustrate the convenience and applicability of the proposed method.

In this paper, some multi-item imperfect production-inventory models without shortages for defective and deteriorating items with uncertain/imprecise holding and production costs and resource constraint have been formulated and solved for optimal production. Here, the rate of production is assumed to be a function of time and considered as a control variable. Also the demand is time dependent and known. Uncertain or imprecise space constraint is also considered. The uncertain and imprecise holding and production costs are represented by uncertain and fuzzy variables respectively. These are converted to crisp constraint/numbers using uncertain measure theory for uncertain variable and possibility/necessity measure for fuzzy variable. The multi-item production inventory model is formulated as a constrained single objective cost minimization problem with the help of global criteria method. The reduced problem is then solved using Kuhn-Tucker conditions and generalized reduced gradient(GRG-LINGO 10.0) technique. Form the general model, models for particular cases with different production and demand functions are derived. Models for a single item are also presented. The optimum results for different models are presented in both tabular and graphical forms. Sensitivity analysis of average cost for the general model with respect to the changes in holding and production costs are presented.

An efficient method to handle the uncertain parameters of a linear programming (LP) problem is to express the uncertain parameters by fuzzy numbers which are more realistic, and create a conceptual and theoretical framework for dealing with imprecision and vagueness. The fuzzy LP (FLP) models in the literature generally either incorporate the imprecisions related to the coefficients of the objective function, the values of the right-hand side, and/or the elements of the coefficient matrix. The aim of this article is to introduce a formulation of FLP problems involving interval-valued trapezoidal fuzzy numbers for the decision variables and the right-hand-side of the constraints. We propose a new method for solving this kind of FLP problems based on comparison of interval-valued fuzzy numbers by the help of signed distance ranking. To do this, we first define an auxiliary problem, having only interval-valued trapezoidal fuzzy cost coefficients, and then study the relationships between these problems leading to a solution for the primary problem. It is demonstrated that study of LP problems with interval-valued trapezoidal fuzzy variables gives rise to the same expected results as those obtained for LP with trapezoidal fuzzy variables.

In machines working under the effect of alternating stresses, the fatigue bending deflection occured occasionally. On the basis of the Fuzzy Reliability Theory and with full consideration of the fuzzy factors during mechanical process, the paper studied the fuzzy reliability optimal design for the hollow spindle of multi-functional jade carving machine and improved the design quality of the jade carving machine spindle by probing into the combined model constructed by the random variables and fuzzy variables. The design was approved to be advanced, reliable and practical in service and provided a new way for the design of multifunctional jade carving machine spindle and other mechanical products.

Based on the entropy of the uncertain variable, a novel importance measure is proposed to identify the effect of the uncertain variables on the system, which is subjected to the combination of random variables and fuzzy variables. For the system with the mixture of random variables and fuzzy variables, the membership function of the failure probability can be obtained by the uncertainty propagation theory first. And then the effect of each input variable on the output response of the system can be evaluated by measuring the shift between entropies of two membership functions of the failure probability, obtained before and after the uncertainty elimination of the input variable. The intersecting effect of the multiple input variables can be calculated by the similar measure. The mathematical properties of the proposed global sensitivity indicators are investigated and proved in detail. A simple example is first employed to demonstrate the procedure of solving the proposed global sensitivity indicators and then the influential variables of four practical applications are identified by the proposed global sensitivity indicators.
