Field experiments were conducted at experimental farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Annamalai University, Chidambaram during July to September (2008) and January to March (2009) in two seasons to study the effect of foliar spray of Panchagavya on the growth and yield of Baby corn cv. COBC 1. The experiments were laid out in Randomized Block Design with fourteen treatments and replicated thrice. The treatments included foliar spray and inorganic nutrient application at various stages of baby corn. The results revealed that application of 100% recommended dose of fertilizers (RDF) [N150: P60 (P2O5): K40 (K2O)] and 4 sprays (15, 25, 35 and 45 DAS) of 3 % Panchagavya recorded the highest growth attributes and yield of fresh Baby corn and this was followed by application of recommended dose of fertilizers (100 %) along with 3 sprays (15, 25 and 35 DAS) of 3 % panchagavya during both the seasons. The least growth and yield parameter were recorded in 3 sprays of 4 % Panchagavya without use of inorganic fertilizers. The increase in growth and yield of baby corn was mainly attributed by greater availability of nutrients through soil application (100 % RDF) and foliar spray of panchagavya at various stages of crop growth.

The effect of molybdenum (Mo) on common bean grown in desiccated corn stover in a no-tillage system was evaluated under two application modes: Mo mixed with the desiccant glyphosate and Mo direct spray to the bean leaves. The treatments (four replicates) were assigned to a completely randomized block design in a split-plot arrangement with the application of Mo (0, 100, 200, 400 and 800 g ha-1) mixed with glyphosate in the main plots and Mo foliar spray (0 and 100 g ha-1) in the sub-plots. The field experiments were carried out in 2009 and 2010 in the municipality of Coimbra, Minas Gerais State, with the common bean cultivar Ouro Vermelho. Mo mixed with glyphosate had neither an effect on common bean yield nor on the Mo and N contents in leaves, however it increased the Mo and N contents in seeds. Application of Mo via foliar spray increased Mo content in leaves and Mo and N contents in seeds. The reapplication of molybdenum with glyphosate for desiccation in subsequent crops caused a cumulative effect of Mo content in bean seeds.

The Effect of Organic and Inorganic Fertilizers on The Growth and Results of Green Mustard (Brassica rapa L.). Green mustard (Brassica rapa L.) is a vegetable that preferred by many consumers, this causes many farmers cultivate this vegetables. One of the important factor in the cultivation of green mustard is fertilizer type. Alternative to improve soil quality and fertility is by providing organic matter. A field research was conducted to evaluate the effect of organic and inorganic fertilizers on the growth and yield of green mustard, in Banjar Taman Tande, Baturiti Village, Bedugul from April to June 2018. This study was designed with a Randomized Block Design with nested patterns consisting of two factors. The first factor was the type of fertilizer, which was consisted of four types of organic fertilizer, namely: vermicompost, cow manure, chicken manure, goat manure and inorganic fertilizers (NPK Mutiara). The second factor was fertilizer dosage, which was consisted of three levels, namely: 0 tons/ha, 15 tons/ha, and 30 tons/ha, while for NPK Mutiara fertilizer dosages, namely: 0 kg/ha, 150 kg/ha, and 300 kg/ha.The results showed that the effect of organic and inorganic fertilizers were not significantly different on the growth and yield of green mustard plants and RAE values. The total N content of soil on vermicompost treatment was 0.23% equal to NPK Mutiara. The total population of soil microbes on vermicompost treatment under dosage of 15 tons/ha and 30 tons/ha were 1.4 x 106 cfu/g that was much higher compared to NPK Mutiara 150 kg/ha fertilizer (0.3 x 106 cfu/g).

A field experiment was conducted during kharif season of 2015 on silty clay loam soil at MPKV, Rahuri (MS), to study the varying nutrient management levels on productivity and economics of different soybean varieties. The experiment was laid out in factorial randomized block design with 15 combinations of three varieties (KDS-344, JS-9305 and KS-103) and five nutrient management levels ( GRDF, 75% GRDF + 0.5% foliar spray of grade IInd at 30 and 45 DAS, 100% GRDF + 0.5% foliar spray of grade IInd at 30 and 45 DAS, N4: 125% GRDF + 0.5% foliar spray of grade IInd at 30 and 45 DAS and 50:75:30 N, P2O5, K2O kg ha-1 + 5 tons FYM ha-1. The variety KDS-344 and application of nutrient management dose 125% GRDF + 0.5 Grade IInd foliar spray at 30 and 45 DAS recorded significantly the highest growth and yield attributes viz., plant height (cm), number of branches, number root of nodules, number of pod plant-1 and weight of seeds plant-1 (g). The variety KDS-344 recorded highest grain and stover (3.66 and 4.64 t /ha) yield and highest economic indices like cost of cultivation (40,623), net monetary returns (87355) and net returns per rupee invested (3.17). The grain yield (4.34 t/ha) and stover yield (4.53 t/ha) of soybean was significantly higher by application of fertilizer dose of 125% GRDF + 0.5% Grade IInd foliar spray at 30 and 45 DAS than rest of treatments, but it was also at par with 75% GRDF + 0.5 Grade IInd foliar spray at 30 and 45 DAS and 100% GRDF + 0.5% Grade IInd foliar spray at 30 and 45 DAS. Similarly, variety KDS-344 and application of nutrient levels of 75 % GRDF + 0.5 % Grade IInd foliar spray at 30 and 45 DAS recorded the highest net returns (82756) and net returns per rupee invested (3.24) in soybean due to reduce in cost of cultivation (36931) and nutrient losses.

Abstrak.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis mikoriza dan populasi tanaman terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil jagung manis, serta interaksi antara jenis mikoriza dengan populasi tanaman terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil jagung manis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2017 sampai Januari 2018 di Desa Blang Krueng, Kecamatan Baitussalam, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Rancangan Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial 3 x 2 dengan  3 ulangan. Faktor yang diteliti yaitu jenis mikoriza dan populasi tanaman. Faktor jenis mikoirza terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu ; mikoriza glomus mosseae, gigaspora dan campuran. Faktor populasi tanman terdiri atas 2 taraf yaitu : satu benih dan dua benih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan jenis mikoriza campuran secara umum menghasilkan pertumbuhan dan  hasil  tanaman jagung yang lebih baik. Sedangkan populasi tamanan yang terbaik adalah satu tamanan. Selanjutnya Interaksi yang lebih baik terdapat  pada jenis mikoriza campuran dengan  populasi tamanan pada parameter diameter batang 15 HST dan 30 HST, berat basah akar dan berat buah berkelobot, diameter tongkol,berat buah tampa kelobot dan potensi hasil per hektar. The effect of Mycoriza Types and Number of Crop Populations on Growth and Yield of Sweet CornAbstractThis research purposes to know the effect of mycoriza types and the population of  the plants toward the growth and yield of sweet corn and the interaction between mycoriza types and the population of  the plants to the growth and yield of sweet corn. This research was carried out in November 2017 until Januari 2018 at Blang Krueng village, Baitussalam sub-district, Aceh Besar Regency and Physiology Laboratory, faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University. This research was conducted Randomized Block Design factorial pattern 3 x 2 with 3 replications. The factors studied in this research are mycoriza types and the population of  the plants. 3 types of mycoriza types are glomus mosseae mycoriza, gigaspora and the mixture of glomus mosseae and gigaspora. and 2 types of the population of  the plants are using one seed and two seed. The result of this research pointed out that the using of the mixture mycoriza type generally increased the growth and yield of sweet corn.  Whereas, the using of the population  of  the plants with one seed had showed the best result. And the better interaction is obtained in the mixture mycoriza with the population of  the plants in there after a good interaction is present in mixed mycorrhizae species with plan population on the diameter of tehstem 15 HST and 30 HST, the weight of the root base and the weight of the weighted fruit, the diameter of the cob weight of the without any weight fruit and the potential yield per hactare.

This study aimed to examine Organonitrofos Plus fertilizer (OP) on sweet corn (Zea mays Saccharata L.) and its effect on changes in soil chemical properties of Ultisols. Organonitrofos Plus fertilizer is an enhancement of Organonitrofos fertilizer enriched with microbes at the beginning of the manufacturing process. Research was conducted in the greenhouse of Integrated Agricultural Laboratory of Lampung University. Treatment applied was a factorial of 4 × 2 × 3 with three replications in a randomized block design. The first factor was the dose of OP fertilizer (0, 10, 20, 30 Mg ha-1), the second factor was the dose of inorganic fertilizers (without inorganic fertilizers, and with inorganic fertilizers, namely Urea 0.44, 0.28 SP-36 and KCl 0.16 Mg ha-1), and the third factor was the dose of biochar (0, 10, 20 Mg ha-1). By a single OP fertilizers, inorganic fertilizers, and the interaction between the OP and the inorganic fertilizers increased the weight of dry stover, cob length, cob diameter, cob with husk and cob without husk of corn. OP fertilizers which are applied in Ultisols can improve soil fertility and increase corn production so that OP fertilizer can lessen the use of inorganic fertilizer and can be used as a substitute for inorganic fertilizer. RAE values were highest in treatment of O4K2B2 (30 Mg OP ha-1, with inorganic fertilizer, 10 Mg biochar ha-1) that was equal to 181%, followed by O2K2B3 (10 Mg OP ha-1, with inorganic fertilizer, 20 Mg biochar ha-1 ) with the difference in RAE value of 0.5%. Introduction: The purpose of this study was to determine the dosage of inorganic fertilizers, soaking time of the inoculation of the legume bacteria strains which were suitable for the growth and yield of peanut in tidal lowland. Materials and Methods: This research was conducted at tidal lowland in Sei Ular Village, Secanggang sub-District, Langkat District, North Sumatra from September to December 2019. The research used randomized block design in factorial. The first factor is the dose of inorganic fertilizers consisting of P0 = un-fertilizer (control), P1= urea 50 kg.ha-1 + TSP 180 kg.ha-1 + KCl 50 kg.ha-1, P2= urea 75 kg.ha-1 + TSP 205 kg.ha-1 + KCl 75 kg.ha-1, P3= urea 100 kg.ha-1 + TSP 230 kg.ha-1 + KCl 100 kg.ha-1. The second factor was the soaking time of the Bradyrhizobium japonicum bacterial strain consisting of T0= un-soaking time, T1= soaking time for 3 minutes, T2= soaking time for 6 minutes, and T3= soaking time for 9 minutes. Parameters were analyzed using ANOVA and BNJ analysis 5%.· Results: The application of urea 50 kg.ha-1 + TSP 180 kg.ha-1 + KCl 50 kg.ha-1 significantly increased the plant height, number of leaves, and root volume and showed the highest number of active nodules, dry pods.plot-1 and seed weight.plot-1 compared to other doses. The seed soaking time with the Bradyrhizobium japonicum strain and their interactions showed insignificant differences in all parameters of peanut plants in tidal lowland.

<p>The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of inorganic fertilizer and leucite mineral residues on K uptake and maize yields. This research had been conducted from October 2016 to September 2017 in the experimental field of Neglasari, Dramaga, Bogor. The soil was analyzed in the Soil Chemistry and Fertility Laboratory of Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. The study was arranged in a completely randomized block design using 11 treatments with three replications. The result showed that the NPK 150 kg ha<sup>-1</sup> residues gave a better effect on corn yields whereas there was no significant effect of employing the standard NPK with RAE value of 123%. The study found that the residual treatment of inorganic fertilizers and leucite minerals had a significant impact on maize yields but not on K uptake.</p>

The efficiency of inorganic fertilizers can also be done by using mycorrhizal biofertilizers. Efforts to increase corn growth need to be done by using inorganic fertilizers and biological fertilizers. This study aims to determine the effect of urea and mycorrhizae doses on the growth of maize (Zea mays. L). The research was conducted in Gejugan Village, Andong District, Boyolali Regency, an altitude of 154 m above sea level with grumusol soil type. This study used a completely randomized block design (RAKL) with two treatment factors, namely the first factor urea fertilizer dosage consisting of 4 levels, namely N0 = 0 kg / ha, N1 = 100 kg / ha, N2 = 200 kg / ha, N3 = 300 kg. / ha, and mycorrhizae consists of 3 levels, namely M0 = 0 g / plant, M1 = 5 g / plant, M2 = 10 g / plant. with 3 repetitions. The results of this study indicated that the dose of urea fertilizer affected the growth of maize, while the mycorrhizal dose did not affect the growth of maize except for the length of the plant roots. The effect of urea dose interaction with mycorrhizae only affected the root length growth of maize. The best growth of maize plants after being given a dose of urea as much as 100 kg/da and mycorrhizal biofertilizer 10 g / plant with the longest roots (40.44 cm)

This study aims to determine the effect of biochar dosage and compost fertilizer and its interaction on the growth and yield of corn crops. This experiment used a randomized block design (RBD) with a factorial pattern consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was the dose of biochar (B) consisting of 4 levels, namely: 0 ton ha-1 (B0), 5 ton ha-1 (B1), 10 ton ha-1 (B2), 15 ton ha-1 (B3). The second factor is the dosage of compost fertilizer (K) consisting of 2 levels: 0 ton ha-1 (K0), and 20 ton ha-1 (K1). The results showed that the interaction between the treatment of biochar dose and compost fertilizer had no significant effect on all observed variables. Biochar and compost treatment have significant effect to most observed variables, except on leaf area and harvest index have no significant effect. Treatment of biochar with a dose of 10 ton ha-1 gave the highest dry kiln seedlings weight of 7.83 tons increased by 35.60% compared to the lowest dose without biochar of 5.77 tons. Treatment of compost doses of 20 ton ha-1 gave the highest dry seed oven per hectare weight of 7.42 tons increased by 16.60% when compared with the lowest yield on treatment without compost dose as much as 6.37 tons.

A field experiment was conducted at Nalanda College of Horticulture, Noorsarai, Nalanda during summer 2017 to assess the effect of complementary and sole applications of organic and inorganic fertilizers on the growth and yield of bottle gourd under onion-onion-bottle gourd crop sequence. The experiment consists of seven treatments viz.,T1-Inorganic fertilizers (120 Kg N: 60 Kg P2O5 and 40 Kg K2O); T2-50% NPK through inorganic fertilizer + 50%N through FYM; T3-50% N through FYM + 50% N through VC; T4-1/3 of N through FYM + VC + Neemcake; T5-50% N through FYM + PSB + Azotobactor; T6-T3 + PSB + Azotobactor and T7-T4 + PSB + Azotobactor. These seven treatments were replicated thrice in Randomized Block Design. Results revealed that T1-100% NPK through inorganic fertilizer recorded 225.7 q ha-1 fruit yield, which was statistically at par with T2 and T6 producing (211.8 and 209.5 q ha-1). Vine length differed significantly at all the growth stages. T1 recorded maximum vine length (51.8, 370.3 and 464.7 cm) at 30, 60 and 90 DAS, which was significantly higher over T5 at 30 DAS, over T4 and T5 at 60 DAS and over T5 at 90 DAS. Among organics, T6 recorded longest vine, while T5 recorded shortest. No. of branches were found non-significant at 30 DAS but it become significant at 60 and 90 DAS and found significantly highest in T6 over all the treatments. After completion of the cropping system; onion-onion-bottle gourd, soils were subjected to analysis. pH differed significantly, while non-significant difference were observed in EC and soil Org-C. Similarly, available N and P concentration were also found non-significant due to different fertilizer sources, but the concentration of available K differed significantly and found highest in T1 which was at par with T2. T1-100% inorganic fertilizer sources recorded highest gross return, net return and B: C ratio followed by T2. On the basis of result it has been concluded that T2 having 50% NPK through inorganic fertilizer + 50% N through FYM may found suitable for sustainable bottle gourd production as it performed at par with T1 in respect to crop growth and yield.
