The study ains to detemine the role of information and communication technology in education. The information and communication technology in general, including computers ( literacy) and information literacy, which means students recognize the teams used in information and communication techology. In the Qur’ran there are so many commads, statement, suggestions, satires and so on that subtantially lin islamic teachings to science and technology. The results of this study found that the role of information technology in education, in addition to helping students in learning also had a quite influentia r ole for teachers especially in the use of facilities to enrich teaching skills, and the Qur’ran as a quide and quidance for the development of science and technology in order to strengthen faith and improve human well being

This study aims to determine the role of information and communication technology in education. The information and communication technology in general aims to make students understand information and communication technology devices in general, including computers (literacy) and information literacy, which means students recognize the terms used in information and communication technology. In the Qur'an there are so many commands, statements, suggestions, satires and so on that substantially link Islamic teachings to science and technology. The results of this study found that the role of information technology in education, in addition to helping students in learning also had a quite influential role for teachers, especially in the use of facilities to enrich teaching skills, and the Qur'an as a guide and guidance for the development of science and technology in order to strengthen faith and improve human well-being.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam pendidikan. Adapun teknologi informasi dan komunikasi secara umum bertujuan untuk membuat siswa memahami perangkat teknologi informasi dan komunikasi secara umum, termasuk komputer (literasi) dan literasi informasi, yang artinya siswa mengenali istilah yang digunakan dalam teknologi informasi dan komunikasi.  This paper deals with the role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in higher education institutions in terms of capability enhancement of learners. In addition, the intents of this research paper is to focus towards online and distance education related with higher education institutions of Nepal. Particularly, the relation of ICT with capability enhancement, the relation of ICT and ODL mode of higher education learners, and the relation of ICT and capability with student learning has been explored in this paper. Theoretically, capability enhancement has been discussed in terms of connectivism and learner autonomy.  Moreover, the theories of capability enhancement as interpreted by Amartya Sen and Martha Nussbaum have also been used to discuss this issue. Besides contributing to quality human life, ICT is found to be helpful in promoting good behavior and attitudes, increasing their ability toward being, doing, and functioning. Integrating technology in education can help change people’s lives.

If we want to convert our rural population into knowledge driven, progressive, self sufficient, self reliant, sustainable society, the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT’s) cannot be ignored. Timely availability information is considered as most important factor in Indian agriculture. At present ICT is the technology of this millennium. Transferring the developed technology to all end users is time-consuming and tiresome task and is often not completed due to paucity of resources and lack of manpower. In India, agriculture and rural development has gained significantly from ICT due to its widespread extension and adoption. In this era of internet, ICT is committed to provide real, timely accurate authentic information to the farmers and rural peoples.

In order to promote utilizing the available resource made in any library information has to be taken to the door step of a clientele a such information and communication technology will serve as a catalyst in doing that. This paper has explored the role of information and communication technology ICT in academia and as well as the strategies used in propagating the available services in an academic library this is because tailor made information it is highly required so as to avoid wasting the precious time of academicians and this can be only achieving with the help of information and communication technology software, therefore, descriptive method was adopted in the methodology of this study.
