Learning is natural phenomena starts with the birth; it is a gradual process of investigation of new knowledge. Every creature has their own learning styles as their biological and social nature. People have superior power to learn many things as they become interested. School is one platform to learn many things for the students. School creates the learning environment but learning style may be varied in student to student. The study aims to identify the learning styles of male and female students of public and private school of Nepal. Primary data were collected from Makwanpur, Chitwan, Gorkha and Dhading Districts among Chepang Community. The study is done among the 368 students of four districts. The three types of learning styles: Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic (VAK) model developed by Neil Fleming was used in field for data collection. The result shows that there is no significant different between male and female students regarding their learning styles. It indicates that achievement and performance of male and female is similar. In Nepalese society, there are some gender differences in social relationship. Still, in most of the society, daughters are given less priority for their growth and development because of the patriarchal concept of society but the study has given the different result than the general concept. It is shown that a daughter can give better result if she will get better learning environment. The result has challenged the discriminatory gender relation in society.

This study identifed male and female’s cognitive learning styles and found out the differences and similarities the cognitive learning styles between male and female students in grade 10 of “X”school in Surabaya. There were twenty six students in Natural Science class (X-IPA1). The main theory for this study is from Ehrman (1996) about Cognitive Learning Styles. The method was mixed-methods. The researcher distributed questionnaires adapted from Ehrman and Leaver (2002b) ind interview to the students in order to know their cognitive learning styles. The findings showed that male students were concrete and female students were analog learners. Additionally, the finding also showed that the male and female students had five similarities and five differences. English teachers will be easier to conduct classroom activites based on the findings of male and female students’ cognitive learning styles. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan gaya belajar antara peserta didik laki-laki dengan perempuan di MTs Madani Pao-Pao. Penelitian kuantitatif jenis komparatif ini menggunakan sampel populasi sebanyak 255 peserta didik. Data yang terkumpul menggunakan instrumen skala gaya belajar dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil analisis statistik inferensial uji Anova menunjukkan nilai sign sebesar 0,033 (p < 0,05), dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan gaya belajar pada peserta didik laki-laki dengan perempuan di MTs Madani Pao-pao. Hasil deskriptif menunjukkan peserta didik laki-laki lebih dominan memiliki gaya belajar visual sedangkan peserta didik perempuan dominan memiliki gaya belajar kinestetik. Hasil penelitian ini menjadi informasi penting bagi guru agar mendesain pembelajaran dengan memperhatikan perbedaan gaya belajar peserta didik. AbstractThis study aims to determine differences in learning styles between male and female students of MTs Madani Pao-Pao. This comparative study had a sample population of 255 students. The data collected using a scale of learning style scale which was analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics. The inferential statistical analysis of the Anova test showed a value of 0.033 (p <0.05). it can be summed up that there were differences in learning styles between male and female learners in MTs Madani Pao-Pao. In addition, male students had a more dominant visual learning style while female students had a dominant kinesthetic learning style. The results of this study become important information for teachers to design learning by paying attention to the learning styles of students.

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti gaya pembelajaran pelajar dalam mempelajari mata pelajaran Biologi dan menentukan sama ada terdapat perbezaan gaya pembelajaran antara pelajar lelaki dan pelajar perempuan, dan juga antara pelajar Bumiputera dengan pelajar bukan Bumiputera. Gaya pembelajaran Kolb telah digunakan untuk mengukur gaya pembelajaran pelajar. Kajian ini merupakan satu kajian tinjauan dengan menggunakan soal selidik sebagai instrumen. Seramai 60 orang pelajar jurusan Biologi telah digunakan sebagai sampel kajian. Dapatan kajian mendapati bahawa tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan secara statistik dalam penggunaan gaya pembelajaran antara pelajar lelaki dan perempuan, dan juga antara pelajar bumiputera dan bukan Bumiputera. Kata kunci: Gaya Pembelajaran Kolb The purpose of this research is to identify students’ learning styles in learning biologi and also to determine whether there is any difference in learning styles between gender and ethnic. Kolb’s Learning Style inventory was used to identify students’ learning styles. This study used survey methods as an instrument. The sample consisted of 60 biology students. Findings indicated that there is no difference in the learning styles between male and female students, and also between Bumiputera and non Bumiputera students. Key words: Kolb's Learning Style

This study was conducted to identify the major learning style preference among UTHM degree students semester 2 2015/2016 in Academic English classroom as well as to identify the differences between the learning style preferences of male and female students. A total of 150students from eight different faculties comprised of 75 male and 75 female students were involved in this study. The Perceptual Learning Style Preferences Questionnaire (PLSPQ) which was developed by Reid (1987) has been used as the instrument of the study. The findings revealed that the major learning style preference of the students was Kinesthetic learning style. Moreover, the findings also revealed that there were no significance differences at α = 0.05 between the learning styles preference of male and female UTHM degree students’ semester 2 2015/2016 in Academic English classroom.

Learning style is one factor which can determine students in the way how they obtained the learning or information. Between male and female students were different in choosing their learning styles. This study tried to investigate the perceptual learning styles preference in Management students and to know the differences between male and female Management students in learning styles in the first semester at University of Muhammadiyah Gresik. Perceptual Learning Style Preference Questionnaire (PLSPQ) developed by Reid 1987was used and administered to 230 students. An observation check-list also used to support the data with questionnaire. Descriptive Statistic was used to analyze the data. The result indicated that students preferred in Group style when they learned English as Academic Purpose (EAP). In gender, between female and male students showed there were some differences in their learning styles. The result revealed that female students preferred in Group style, meanwhile male students preferred in auditory style. The least preference of learning style both female and male students was Individual style

Students’ feedback about their classroom learning environment can be used to provide information about the strengths and problems that need to be addressed. This study assessed the students’ perceptions of their biology learning environment. The difference between male and female students’ perceptions of their learning environment was also investigated. Learning environment instrument What is Happening in this Class (WIHIC) questionnaire was employed to evaluate the perception of 437 Form Four students who took Biology as one of their subjects in a local district. The data were analysed based on the Rasch (1961) measurement model using the Winsteps software. Overall, the students perceived quite favourably on their biology classroom learning environment. Apart from that, there is no difference between the boys and girls in their general perception of the biology classroom learning environment. Further analysis on each scale showed the scales of Students Cohesiveness and Cooperation were perceived positively in the Biology classroom. However, students find it difficult to agree on the scale of Investigation and Involvement. DIF analysis of the items revealed some differences in their perceptions in the scales as well as some of the items between male and female students. Several suggestions were given in the hope of improving and create an effective classroom learning environment. With such feedbacks, Biology teachers and the school administration can strive to improve and create an effective classroom learning environment, provide useful background information for further evaluation phases and inform on the best approach to carry out Biology lessons in the classroom.

This study aims to analyze the influence of learning motivation, learning styles and learning environments on learning outcomes economy partially or simultaneously. The population in this study is IPS students a total of 314 people and a total sample of 153 students in SMA Negeri 1 Wringinanom Gresik. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. Analysis method using multiple linear regression techniques. The results showed that the learning motivation, learning style and learning environment partially positive significant effect on learning outcomes. Learning motivation, learning style and the learning environment simultaneously positive significant effect on learning outcomes

Learning style research has informed effective classroom teaching strategies for decades. Technology has allowed faculty and students to move the learning environment from the four-walled classroom to a fluid global virtual space. Knowledge gained through the application of learning style research to online instruction has enhanced practice; however, research demonstrating the alignment of learning styles with current technological resources has been limited. Learning styles and their interrelationship with technology and adult learners is as important today as initial learning style research was in the six decades after its beginnings in the 1940s. Education today must meet the needs of students who are more comfortable in electronic environments, as well as those who need the four-walled classroom. The ability to use learning style research to accomplish both will lead to enhanced student learning and a more productive experience.

Educators assert that students have various learning styles. In most cases, whatis being taught has less impact on learners’ achievement than the way materialsare presented. In other words, learning style makes an important component inthe learning environment. The Learning Style Survey Questionnaire employed inthis study appears to be a viable tool to determine students’ learning style. Thisstudy investigated the learning styles and achievement in science of 288 students.Findings reveal that most of the students were visual learners. Results also showthat the students possessed average competencies in science. <span>This article reports the development, validation and use of a survey for assessing students' perceptions of their e-learning environments. The Online Learning Environment Survey (OLES) was administered to 325 students, 131 in Australia and 194 in Hong Kong. The data were analysed to examine 1) the reliability and validity of the survey, 2) differences between the perceptions of a) students' actual and preferred environment, b) students and their teacher and c) male and female students and 3) whether associations exist between students' perceptions of their e-learning environment and their enjoyment of e-learning. In addition to quantitative data, unstructured interviews were used to provide a more in depth understanding of the e-learning environments created. These data provide valuable feedback to educators working in e-learning environments to help teachers to evaluate the effectiveness of the environment and to make adjustments and improvements as required.</span>
