Although hemangiomas are common in infancy and childhood, they are probably developmental abnormalities rather than true neoplasms. In present case we have treated a child aged 10 years with haemangioma of the right side of the Neck. After thorough investigation we posted this for intralesional infiltration of Sclerosing agent (Inj. Polidocanol 3%) in 1:3 dilution with normal saline. Approximately 2 ml Inj. Polidocanol diluted with saline was injected into the lesion. And the same procedure was repeated in three sittings after one week interval. The size and vascularity was reduced dramatically after single procedure. Patient was followed up after one and two months interval. There was no sign of any recurrence. This Procedure was chosen as it is cosmetically more acceptable, can be used for the haemangiomas at inaccessible areas where surgery is difficult, day care procedure and cost effective. Brachial plexus is the plexus of nerves, that supplies the upper limb.Variations in the branches of brachial plexus are common but variations in the roots and trunks are very rare. Here, we report one of the such rare variations in the formations of the lower trunk of the brachial plexus in the right upper limb of a male cadaver. In the present case the lower trunk was formed by the union of ventral rami of C7,C8 and T1 nerve roots. The middle trunk was absent. Upper trunk formation was normal. This case report pertains to a variant termination of the right testicular vein into a large lower tributary of the right renal vein, instead of opening into the inferior vena cava. Since the lower vein in which the right testicular vein opened did not join the inferior vena cava directly, therefore there is no real duplication of the right renal vein which has been found in some previous case reports. The right renal vein had its normal termination into the inferior vena cava. BACKGROUND: Cranioplasty is aimed to restore the structure and function of the lost portion of the skull defect. Many materials can be used for cranioplasty, such as the bones of the patient (autograft), the bones of other patients (allograft), bones of animals (xenograft), or synthetic materials such as acrylic or titanium mesh. These materials are quite expensive and sometimes require complex processes. Manual shaping of material for cranioplasty is also quite time-consuming and prone to cause esthetic dissatisfaction. The author will discuss the case of using polylactic acid (PLA) implant with 3-dimensional (3D) printing customization as a cheap and accurate cosmetic solution for cranioplasty procedures. CASE REPORT: We report 2 cases of skull defect underwent cranioplasty. The first case, female, 20-year-old, had a history of severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) and epidural hematoma. She underwent decompression craniotomy on the left frontotemporoparietal region of her skull. The second case, male, 46-year-old, had a history of spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage due to arteriovenous malformation (AVM). He underwent decompression craniotomy on the right frontotemporoparietal region of her skull. Both the data of computerized tomography (CT) scan were reconstructed to get 3D model of skull defect. Prosthesis was made by 3D printer accordingly using PLA as material. There was no complication reported postoperatively and cosmetic satisfaction was obtained on both cases. CONCLUSION: The use of PLA implant with 3D printing customization was proved to be cost-effective and good cosmetic satisfaction with no complication reported following cranioplasty procedure.

Fixed prosthodontics is a zestful and progressing branch because of the numerous advantages that it has over removable prosthesis. The oral cavity for each scenario has its own complications and hence every individual case has its own approach keeping in mind the comfort, function, and aesthetics of the patient. In some cases, we come across an edentulous space on both the sides, creating a lone free-standing tooth. This clinical scenario with a pier abutment needs to be taken into consideration during restoration of the arch as the masticatory forces applied on the abutment teeth at one end of fixed partial denture (FPD) can result in the pier abutment acting as a fulcrum resulting in ultimate failure of the FPD and trauma to the periodontium. To overcome this complication, use of non-rigid connectors is advised. Many innovative clinical designs with modifications to the conventional bridges have been proposed over the years to undertake such a scenario most diligently. Selection of the right type of connector is imperative for the success while undertaking such a case. This era is of digital dentistry; hence, an innovative, time saving, and cost-effective way of fabricating non-rigid connector using Exocad software and 3D printing of split pontic FPD is presented in this case report.

A five-day-old Holstein Friesian male calf was presented for the evaluation of severe fetlock flexural deformities with a large pressure ulcer over the right metacarpal bone. Superficial and deep digital flexor tenotomy was performed. The surgical wound recovered well, but 15 days after surgery, the skin over the pressure ulcer was starting to fall away and exposing tendon and muscle. A hoof toe-extension shoe was applied to decrease pressure on the wound. The wound had a moderate bacterial infection and slowly responded to cleansing twice a day with 0.9% normal saline, 10% povidone iodine and a topical antibiotic. Topical autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) was then applied to the lesion ([Formula: see text][Formula: see text]cm) twice. The wound showed rapid tissue regeneration, good quality wound healing and no complications. After PRP treatment, the lesion size decreased ([Formula: see text][Formula: see text]cm). At this point, 0.9% normal saline cleansing and a bandage were applied until the wound had completely healed. This case report suggests that the hoof toe-extension shoe and topical dressing with autologous PRP, as a combination treatment, could be effective for fetlock flexural deformities with skin defects or delayed wound healing in large animals.

During routine dissection of an adult male cadaver in the Department of Anatomy, College of Medical Sciences, Bharatpur, Nepal, the right median nerve was found to be formed by three roots. The finding was noted after thorough and meticulous dissection of the upper limbs of both sides (axilla, arm, forearm and palm). Out of the three roots forming the anomalous median nerve, two were from lateral cord and one from medial cord of brachial plexus. However, the distribution of the anomalous median nerve was normal in arm, forearm and palm. The arterial pattern in the arm (axillary and brachial arteries) was also normal. AbstractKnowledge of varying patterns of formation and termination of external jugular vein is not only important for anatomists but also for surgeons operating at this level and interventional radiologists who perform transjugular procedures. Two different variations related to formation and communications of external jugular vein were observed during routine dissection for the first MBBS students in the Department of Anatomy at Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, Chalakka, Ernakulum in two different cadavers. The external jugular vein had a communicating channel with cephalic vein which traversed superficial to the clavicle on right side and in second cadaver the right external jugular vein was formed by union of undivided retromandibular vein with posterior auricular vein. Knowing the venous patterns in neck region is of paramount importance in order to avoid unnecessary bleeding during surgical procedures.

Popliteal artery thrombosis may present as a complication of an osteochondroma located in the vicinity of the knee joint. This is a case report of a 26-year-old man with symptoms of the right lower extremity ischaemia without a previous history of vascular disease or trauma. Plain radiography, magnetic resonance angiography and Doppler ultrasonography documented the presence of an osteochondrous structure of the proximal tibial metaphysis, which displaced and compressed the popliteal artery, causing its occlusion due to intraluminal thrombosis..The patient was operated and histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of osteochondroma.
