Abstract ASARCOLO 158-190 and 217-440 are non-eutectic alloys that can be melted easily. Each range indicates the range through which the alloy melts; thus ASARCOLO 158-190 is a non-eutectic alloy that has a melting range from 158 F to 190 F and ASARCOLO 217-440 is another non-eutectic alloy that melts in the range 217 F to 440 F. These alloys are used widely to aid foundry and machine shop practices, for anchoring components, to spot fixtures for awkward shapes, and for soldering. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Bi-2. Producer or source: Federated Metals Corporation, ASARCO Inc..
