The production process is the core of an industry that certainly relies on a variety of equipment to help the process run. Oyster mushroom baglog industry is one of the agricultural industries that needs to be developed in its production equipment because of its good market prospects and high economic potential with a clear market segment. But there is a problem that often faced by the baglog farmers, the problem is the sterilization process from baglog itself is not good, so the quality of the oyster mushroom will decrease or worse is the crop failure. Therefore an appropriate boiler is needed that it can increase the yield and quality of a baglog oyster mushroom industry. Boilers that are designed will follow the existing standards, which are in accordance with the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) standards and coupled with simulations in the form of adding loads to the boiler model using Pro Engineer Wildfire 4.0 software.

Представлены результаты экспериментальной работы по оптимизации состава композиционного субстрата на основе соломы озимой пшеницы и лузги семян подсолнечника, применяемого для промышленного культивирования плодовых тел вешенки, обеспечивающие повышение питательной ценности субстрата, его водно-воздушного режима и повышения урожайности культуры и качества плодовых тел.The results of experimental work on optimization of the composition of the composite substrate based on straw of winter wheat and sunflower seed husk used for industrial cultivation of fruit bodies of oyster mushroom, providing an increase in the nutritional value of the substrate, its water-air regime and increase of crop yield and quality of fruit bodies are presented.

Sunflower rust caused by Puccinia helianthi (Schw.) is an autoecious and macrocyclic rust that occurs on wild perennial, wild annual, and cultivated sunflower species (Helianthus annuus L.). Severe epidemics of sunflower rust can significantly reduce yield and quality of cultivated sunflower (4). Uredinia of P. helianthi were observed in individual sunflower fields in four Illinois counties in 2008, namely; Champaign, LaSalle, McLean, and Livingston. Leaves with uredinia from each field were collected and shipped to the USDA-ARS Sunflower Pathology Laboratory in Fargo, ND. Urediniospores were harvested by rinsing leaves with Soltrol 170 isoparaffin solvent (Chevron Phillips Chemicals, Woodlands, TX). Urediniospores were increased by inoculating the spore suspension onto 21-day-old seedlings of susceptible oilseed hybrid Myc-7350 with a vacuum-pump powered atomizer. After the Soltrol 170 evaporated, plants were placed in a dew chamber for 24 h and then moved to a greenhouse at approximately 20 to 25°C with a 14-h photoperiod. When sporulating uredinia were visible, a bulk collection of urediniospores was made from samples of each location. Additionally, one single-pustule derived isolate from each location was obtained by harvesting urediniospores from a single pustule and increasing as above. To determine the virulence phenotypes, each single-pustule derived isolate and bulk collection were inoculated as above onto at least two replicated sets of the nine international differential lines (each set containing three plants per line) and evaluated after 14 days (1,2). The single-pustule isolates from LaSalle, Livingston, and McLean counties were determined to be virulence phenotype 300. The single-pustule isolate from Champaign produced no infection on any differential lines, including the susceptible, and was therefore considered not viable. The virulence phenotypes of the bulk samples were coded as 330 (Champaign), 324 (McLean), and 336 (Livingston and LaSalle). Virulence of all aforementioned virulence phenotypes was found to be common in a recent survey of 400 Midwestern P. helianthi samples collected in 2007 and 2008 (1). Although sunflower production is limited in Illinois, expansion could occur. This is particularly true in southern Illinois, where double cropping sunflower after winter wheat is a possibility. Urediniospore germination and infection is favored by free moisture and temperatures ranging from 10 to 25°C, while optimum temperature for spore development ranges from 20 to 35°C (3). These environmental conditions are often more common in Illinois than in the major sunflower-producing states in the Great Plains, where sunflower rust is a concern annually. Thus, determination of P. helianthi virulence phenotypes in Illinois may be important for future management of sunflower rust. References: (1) T. J. Gulya and S. G. Markell. Представлены экспериментальные данные о влиянии капельного орошения на урожайность и качество плодов томата при выращивании культуры в открытом грунте Московской области. На плодородных аллювиальных луговых почвах Москворецкой поймы при соблюдении агротехники без орошения в среднем за три года исследований в полевых условиях получена урожайность томата F1 Донской 31,9 т/га, с орошением 48,5 т/га, в т.ч. стандартной продукции 42,6 т/га.The article presents experimental data on the effect of drip irrigation on the yield and quality of tomato fruits when growing crops in open ground of the Moscow Region. On fertile alluvial meadow soils of the Moscow river floodplain, with the observance of agricultural technology without irrigation, the field yield of tomato hybrid F1 Donskoi on average for three years of research was 31.9 t/ha, with irrigation 48.5 t/ha, incl. standard production 42.6 t/ha.

Приведены результаты исследований по изучению влияния промышленной технологии возделывания картофеля на развитие, урожайность и качество продукции. Выявлена положительная реакция растений на подкормку K2SO4 в период посадки. Корреляционно-регрессионный анализ урожайности и качества клубней выявил высокую степень достоверности результатов опыта. Содержание нитратов и тяжелых металлов в клубнях было ниже допустимых величин.The results of studies on the impact of industrial technology of potato cultivation on growth, yield and quality of products. There was a positive response of plants to fertilizer K2SO4 in the period of planting. Correlation and regression analysis of yield and quality of tubers revealed a high degree of reliability of the results of experience. The contents of nitrates and heavy metals in tubers was below the permissible values.

The main purpose of this research was to observer effect co-solvent type (n-Hexane, chloroform and without co-solvent)  toward yield and quality of biodiesel via in situ transesterification process using microwave irradiation. The process was studied at microwave power 450 watt, reaction time 4 minutes, methanol to seed ratio 25:1 and catalyst concentration 5%. The physicochemical parameters of the biodiesel produced such as viscosity, density and acid value were analysed and compared with the SNI 7182-2012 standard. The experimental result showed the maximum yield biodiesel 78,32% obtained by using co-solvent chloroform.Test result of physicochemical properties (viscosity, density and acid value) of biodiesel products using co solvent n-Hexane, chloroform and without co solvent showed that these products conform to the SNI 7182-2012 standars. The type of co-solvent only affectedon biodiesel yield dan not affected on biodiesel quality (viscosity, density and acid value).  ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh jenis co-solvent (n-Hexane, chloroform dan tanpa co-solvent) terhadap rendemen dan mutu biodiesel secara trasesterifikasi in situ menggunakan radiasi gelombang mikro. Proses dilakukan pada daya gelombang mikro 450 watt, waktu reaksi 4 menit, perbandingan berat metanol terhadap bahan baku 25:1 dan jumlah katalis 5%. Parameter fisiko kimia dari produk biodiesel seperti viskositas, densitas dan angka asam di analisa dan dibandingkan dengan standar SNI 7182-2012 tentang biodiesel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rendemen maksimum biodiesel sebesar 78,32% diperoleh dengan menggunakan co-solvent chloroform. Hasil pengujian  karakteristik fisiko kimia (viskositas, densitas dan angka asam) dari produk biodiesel menggunakan co-solvent n-Hexane, chloroform dan tanpa co-solvent menunjukkan bahwa semua parameter ini masih memenuhi standar SNI 1782-2012 tentang biodiesel. Jenis co-solvent hanya berpengaruh pada rendemen biodiesel dan tidak berpengaruh terhadap mutu biodiesel (viskositas, densitas dan bilangan asam).Kata kunci: co-solvent, in situ transesterifikasi, microwave, rendemen, mutu
