Due to insufficient research on cross-country comparison, this study aims to identify the differences in mobile payment adoption between China and Malaysia. Perceived usefulness, perceived security, perceived ease of use and attitude from Theory of Acceptance Model and Theory of Reasoned Action were used to analyse the intention to adopt mobile payment. Based on the results, perceived security seems to differ for the two countries while other factors have similar results. However, due to the problems that occur in Halal Certification system, halal virtual inspection is proposed to overcome the problems. The technology acceptance model (TAM) was adapted as a baseline theory. Survey questionnaires were distributed to 86 respondents who are identified as halal industry players such as producers and consumers of food and beverages sector. The findings of this study reveal that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, amount of information, perceived security and trust are the main factors influencing halal virtual inspection acceptance. These factors could be used as a guideline to the halal service providers in order to achieve effective implementation, efficient and trusted halal virtual inspection.

In response, to little research focused on how Jordanians perceive and respond to m-commerce and the main factors that govern its adoption and use, this article proposes a conceptual model that extends the technology acceptance model (TAM) with important factors related to consumers and companies like perceived trust, perceived security, subjective norms and service quality. The proposed model was validated and then tested utilizing a sample of 200 students. Results indicate that a perceived ease of use, a perceived usefulness and service quality are the major drivers of m-commerce adoption among Jordanian users. In contrast perceived trust, perceived security, and subjective norms are not significant toward the adoption process. A detailed analysis and results follows this article.

The purpose of this paper is to test and compare two models, which have been popularly used for explaining how users come to accept and use a technology and their behavioral intention. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) is used to analyze customer intention to buy online. By sampling 102 online potential customers in Malaysia, findings indicate that the TRA and TAM are valid models in the prediction of the intention to buy online. Attitude, subjective norm, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were found to be positively related to purchase intention, with attitude being the more influential predictor. TRA was found to be a better predictor in comparison to the TAM. The main conclusions of this research can be valuable to organizations that sell their products on the Internet.

Location-based services (LBSs) are technology related services that can provide individual users with the capability of being constantly reachable and accessing network services while on the move. The growing influence of LBS has attracted significant attention in developing countries like Bangladesh, where LBS is a new tool for the marketers. However, it is yet to become popular among the mass people. It is therefore important to understand the users' intention to adopt and use LBS extensively in their daily life. In this regard, original technology acceptance model (TAM) has been used along with several other factors to develop a conceptual model for this study. Results claim that constructs like self-efficacy, perceived social value, perceived convenience value, personalization, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use plays vital role in the adoption of LBS in Bangladesh. Accordingly, implications for practice and research, limitations and future research directions of this study are discussed.

Financial inclusion refers to the use of financial services such as electronic money. Digital money receives tremendous attention globally, from buyers to sellers, as an alternative form of payment. The passions on this technology enormous and infectious, therefore attracting more followers from large merchant to smaller one including the cooperative. School cooperative serves as a center of economic with a wide range of activities, such as mini market, canteen, to serve the needs of students, teachers, and people in the surrounding area. One of the programs launched by the Central Bank of Indonesia is a financial inclusion to increase the financial literacy of people living in the remote area. In this case, Islamic conventional boarding school cooperative can become influencers in most of the surrounding community to attract people’s interest to adopt the technology. The purpose of this inquiry is to find out factors influencing the adoption of mobile payment and user’s intention and decision to adopt m-payment. Authors proposed an innovative research model based on the theory of technology acceptance model with the innovation characteristics of the diffusion of innovations, perceived security and intention to recommend the technology. The research model has empirically tested at 205 employees Islamic boarding schools across four regions. The independent variables under study include perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived credibility, subjective norms, and trust while the dependent variables are mobile payment adoption and intention to recommend the technology. The study uses structural equation modeling as a tool for analysis. The study also confirmed the relevance of users’ intention to recommend mobile payment technology. Thus, future research needs to include social media campaigns and technology adoption studies. For researchers, the result of this study act as a basis for further refinement of personal technology acceptance model. For practitioners, understanding the key constructs is crucial to design, refine, and implement mobile payment services, applications, and products that achieve high consumer acceptance, value, and high rates of positive recommendations in social networks.

Due to the high perceived risk and low switching cost, it is critical to building users' initial trust in mobile payment in order to facilitate their adoption and usage. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of initial trust on user adoption of mobile payment. We conducted data analysis with structural equation modeling. The results indicated that perceived security, perceived ubiquity and perceived ease of use have significant effects on initial trust, which in turn determines perceived usefulness and usage intention. We also found that perceived cost is a significant determinant of usage intention.
