The purpose of this research is to examine the educational technology developer team as an important program in schooling, especially by analyzing its compatibility with the school system and conditions. By using mixed method and research and development model this research adressing the elementary and secondary school in Semarang and other district. The results showed that this program is compatible with school system and could overcome lots of school problem i.e. the lack of teacher competency on developing lesson plan, learning media, the lack of human resource developmen division in school, the continuity of teacher quality improvement program, dan the quality of school management. But several teacher and school’s management are irresponsive to the program because its team member was university student, not the professional one. It is why in several school the program cannot running well as expected. Eventhough overall the program experiment is succesful.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini diarahkan untuk mengetahui implementasi gagasan tim pengembang teknologi pendidikan di sekolah, terutama mengenai kompatibilitas gagasan dengan konteks dan kondisi riil di sekolah. Komposisi tim pengembang teknologi pendidikan di sekolah yang masih mahasiswa S1 diidentifikasi menjadi faktor penghambatnya. Walau begitu, secara umum dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi gagasan tim pengembang teknologi pendidikan di sekolah telah berhasil dengan baik.

The present work seeks to analyze the results of the educational reform of the secondary school system in Argentina initiated by the Ley Federal de Educación in 1993. This article has chosen Greater Buenos Aires, the biggest conurbation in the country, as a "case study." The methodology used is based on quantitative and qualitative surveys administered to the top authorities of state and private schools in the area. We conclude that the reactions toward the reform are, in general, negative. Furthermore, there are no differences in attitudes between private and state schools. Both of them agree that the worst effect is the leveling down of the quality of education. In other words, the main cause of disagreement is mostly pedagogic.

This paper describes a study conducted to determine the role perception and enactment (or performance) of secondary school physical educators as well as the magnitude of role deficits that physical educators experience in schools. The data for the study were collected using a 28-item test instrument classified into four role-subsets of teaching, coaching and sports administration, research and development, and student welfare roles. The results indicated that the physical educators studied possess an acceptable perception of their roles, and that they differentially enact or perform these roles. The coaching and sports administration role-subset is more enacted by physical educators than are teaching, research and development, and student welfare roles, respectively. Furthermore, the magnitude of role deficits experienced by physical educators is higher for teaching, research and development, and student welfare roles compared with role deficits in the coaching and sports administration role-subset. Further studies are required to ascertain the forces that shape the role of physical educators in the school system as well as the sources of role deficits.

The argumentation skill is one of the supporting abilities in determining the quality of thinking in the era of the 4.0 revolution. The development of argumentation skills is important to be implemented in solving physics problems, especially in exploring how they solve problems and understand concepts so that misconceptions do not occur. This study aims to determine the improvement of students' argumentation skills in solving electrical concept problems before and after the intervention. This type of research uses a mixed method model research method with an embedded experimental design. The research subjects consisted of 32 students of the Department of Physics Education at Musamus University who had or are currently taking the magnetic electricity course. The results showed that students' argumentation skills improved along with the help of worksheets assisted with representation formats during lectures

Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model pendidikan prakarya dan kewirausahaan berbasis ekonomi kreatif berdimensi industri keunggulan lokal yang efektif bagi lulusan SMA berjiwa wirausaha. Penelitian menggunakan prosedur research and development yang dipadukan dengan prinsip desain konstruktivistik dengan tahapan: studi pendahuluan, pengembangan produk awal, dan uji produk awal melalui uji validasi ahli dan praktisi; uji terbatas secara bersiklus, uji produk akhir melalui quasi eksperimen, dan desiminasi serta implementasi. Hasil penelitian tahap pertama adalah sebagai berikut. Industri kerajinan lokal dan pemasarannya menjadi prioritas substansi prakarya dan kewirausahaan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konstruktivisme social. Desain model terdiri atas tiga komponen, yaitu tujuan (tujuan mata pelajaran, kompetensi dasar, dan indikator), prosedur pembelajaran (pengorganisasian dan penyampaian materi serta pengelolaan pembelajaran), dan penilaian. Desain model menghasilkan produk yang berupa: rumusan kompetensi dasar, silabus, buku ajar, panduan pembelajaran, media, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan perangkat penilaian. Hasil uji produk awal menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan rancangan model dan produk yang dihasilkan pada kategori sangat baik. Kata Kunci: desain model, prakarya dan kewirausahaan, ekonomi kreatif MODEL DESIGN OF PRAKARyA AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP WITH CREATIVE ECONOMY BASED AND LOCAL QUALITY OF INDUSTRY DIMENSION Abstract: This study aims to produce education model of prakarya and entrepreneurship with creative economy based and local quality of industry dimension to the graduated students of Senior High School who have entrepreneur passion. This study used research and development procedure with constructivism design which included the introduction study, initial product development, and initial product test through expert and practitioner validity; limited test in cycle, final product test through quasi experiment, dissemination, and implementation. The first result of the study is as follow. Local handicraft industry and its marketing became the substantial priority of prakarya and entrepreneurship by using social constructivism learning. The model design consists of three components, such as objective (learning objective, basic competency, and indicator), learning procedure (material organization, material delivery and learning management), and evaluation. Model design produce a product which include basic competency formula, syllabus, handout, learning guide, media, lesson plan, and evaluation. The result of the initial product showed that all of produced model plan and product is categorized into good. Keywords: model design, prakarya and entrepreneurship, creative economy

<p>This research is attempted to: (1) describe the steps of the development of local-wisdom-based integrated teaching media; (2) describe the quality of the local-wisdom-based teaching media; (3) describe the implementation of local-wisdom-based teaching media; and (4) describe the impacts of the implementation of local-wisdom-based teaching media. The method of the research is Dick and Carey’s model of Research and Development, which frames the development of teaching instruments. The objects of the research are the developed teaching instruments, and the subjects are 10 students of Balerejo II and 30 students of Balerejo IV. The data are analyzed descriptively by using observation record for the teaching events, and appraisal technique for the teaching instruments. The results of the analysis show that: (1) the teaching instruments can be well-developed being measured by the Dick and Carey’s model, which are scored as: 4.22 for Lesson Plan, 4.5 for Media, 4.14 for Teacher’s Guide, 4.26 for Book, and 3.96 Student Work Sheets; (2) the quality of the local-wisdom media is good; (3) the implementation of the model is good, by 89.75% of the application of lesson plan in the fisrt meeting and 91.01% in the second meeting. Students’ response is good, by 40.6 (agree) and 41.2 (very much agree). Teacher’s activities are good in response to the suggested activities of the lesson plan. Students’ activities are good with 99.41% of the activities are relevant to lesson plan, and the average achievement raise significantly. (4) Supporting factors cope with students’ experience in learning amusingly without disturbing contact to their mates. Some disadvantagous factors can be resolved by teacher’s improvisations.</p><p> </p><p>Key words:   Teaching Media Development, Integrated Teaching and Learning<em></em></p>

<p class="Abstract"><em><span lang="EN-GB">The area around Mount Agung needs a roof design that can give extra protection for the residents. The volcanic sand may cause serious danger and damage to the residents' houses since it brings a heavy load to the roof. It causes roof collapses and it dangers the residents' safety. This study was a Research and Development Research and Development by Borg and Gall with a mixed method. Roof testing was done by carrying out an FGD by inviting one expert to provide input on the quality of the product, for revising and reporting the results according to the improvements. Based on the study, it was found (1) the needs of the residents due to the roof design, (2) the suitable type of roof that is resistant to the volcanic sand, and (3) the suitable roof construction for the residents around Mount Agung. The results of the study are expected to contribute to the construction design of residents' houses around Mount Agung that can protect them from the volcanic sand. </span></em></p>

The present study compared cognitive abilities and academic achievement of adolescents studying in three different school systems namely Urdu medium schools, English medium schools, and Cambridge system schools. The sample comprised of 1001 secondary school student. Cognitive abilities were assessed by Raven’s Standard Progressive Matrices (1960) and marks obtained by the students in the last annual examination were used as an index of academic achievement. Results showed that cognitive abilities of the students were positively associated with academic achievement of the respondents. It was further found that cognitive abilities and academic achievement of students studying in Cambridge school system was better as compared to those studying in other systems. Post-hoc comparison revealed that level of academic achievement of Urdu medium schools was lower as compared to English medium and Cambridge system of schools. The findings suggest that difference in schooling system influenced cognitive abilities and academic achievement of the students. Results further demonstrated that gender was a significant predictor of academic achievement in both Urdu and English medium schools. Future implications of the study were also discussed.
