Teacher competency standards are the main guidelines for assessing the initial academic qualification of teachers. The basis for the assessment of teacher performance is the sustainable development of their professional career. This research reassesses teachers' competency standards in vocational high schools (VHSs) to sufficiently explain the competence in teaching tailored to the needs of the industrial world. This research aims at an assessment structure established on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to assess such competency standards for VHS teachers steadily to assess such competency standards for VHS teachers. The assessment model is classified into four critical criteria, namely: 1) pedagogical competency, 2) professional competency, 3) vocational competency, and 4) technological competency. These criteria are further accumulated into 21 sub-criteria to gauge the efficacy of teacher competency standards. This finding shows that the pedagogical competencies are the most important in this research. Thus, this study's novelty is seen in developing two key aspects: a more detailed explanation of sub-competencies and competencies to enhance Indonesia's skilled teachers' competency levels.

This correlation study aimed to investigate a correlation between English teacher competency and students’ learning achievement at State Junior High School 1 Tempuling, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau. There was 1 English teacher who has certified as a professional teacher. Seventy-five students taught by the English teacher became the sample through random sampling technique; meanwhile, the English Teacher Performance Assessment documentation and evidence of students’ learning achievement in their report card were used to collect the data. The data were analyzed using serial correlation. The finding shows that the correlation (rxy) score = 0.438 compared to rt. Because rxy was higher at 5% and 1% significance levels, it was possible to conclude a significant correlation between English teacher competency and students’ learning achievement.

ABSTRAKTujuan utama pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengelola kelas online melalui pelatihan pengajaran menggunakan Quizizz  pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris untuk siswa SMP pada guru-guru SMPN 2 kediri. Quizizz  merupakan web tool untuk membuat permainan kuis interaktif yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Quizizz  tidak hanya dapat dikerjakan saat pembelajaran di kelas saja, tetapi juga dapat dibuat soal untuk pekerjaan rumah, sehingga dapat dimainkan kapan saja dan dimana saja oleh siswa asalkan tidak melebihi batas waktu. Hasil observasi awal ditemukan bahwa guru-guru menggunakan WA Group dan Google Classroom. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan pemberian materi, tanya jawab, dan praktek pembuatan media Quizizz . Untuk mengetahui keberhasilan kegiatan pengabdian ini, dilakukan evaluasi dengan pengisian angket respon terhadap kepuasan menggunakan Quizizz . Hasil angket menunjukkan respon peserta pelatihan puas terhadap pelaksanaan PKM ini dan menjawab sangat mudah sebesar 100%. Tingkat kepuasan peserta pelatihan dari segi materi, penyampaian materi, proses diskusi serta pelatihan individu 100%. Sedangkan 50% menyatakan mengalami peningkatan terkait kemampuan menggunakan media Quizizz  dan pengelolaan kelas online. Dari hasil pelatihan disarankan agar guru-guru di masa pandemi ini memahami dan menggunakan media Quizizz  agar evaluasi pembelajaran terhadap siswa lebih efektif dan menyenangkan. Kata kunci: pelatihan; guru; Quizizz . ABSTRACTThis community services aims to improve teacher competency in administering online classes by providing junior high school teacher at SMPN 2 Kediri with Quizizz  training. Quizizz  is a website that allows you to create interactive quiz games in the classroom. Quizizz  can be used in class and to create homework questions so that students can play it whenever and wherever they choose as long as the time limit is not exceeded. English teachers use WA Group and Google Classroom after performing preliminary observation. The training was conducted by distributing materials, discussion, and offering hands-on practice in creating Quizizz  media. An evaluation was done to determine the success of this service activity by filling out a response questionnaire to in using Quizizz . The findings of the questionnaire revealed that the training participants were satisfied with the implementation of this activity and answered very easily by 100%. The level of satisfaction of the training participants in material, material delivery, discussion process, and individual training is 100%. Meanwhile, 50% of the respondents said their abilities improved in using Quizizz  media. It is suggested that teachers understand and use the Quizizz  during this pandemic so that student evaluation of learning is more enjoyable. Keywords: training; teacher; Quizizz .

The teacher plays a role in students' cognitive, affective and psychomotor maturation through the teaching and learning process by transferring knowledge, personality and skills to students. The achievement of student learning outcomes is inseparable from professional competence, work motivation, and learning motivation possessed by the teacher in the learning process. Looking at this, it is necessary to design an instrument to measure professional competence, work motivation, learning motivation on the results of social studies teacher competency tests at junior high school level in public schools in Pontianak City. This study uses a quantitative approach, with a population of 119 social studies teachers, a total sample of 82 social studies teachers with propotionate stratified random sampling technique, which is found in 28 junior high schools in 7 sub-districts of Pontianak. Problem solving uses Multiple Linear Regression with a pathway hypothesis model (beta) pathway in Multiple Linear Regression. The results of the study show that: (1) professional competence has a direct positive effect on the results of the social studies teacher competency test; (2) work motivation has a direct positive effect on the results of the social studies teacher competency test; (3) learning motivation has a direct positive effect on social studies teacher competency test results; & (4) professional competence, work motivation, learning motivation simultaneously have a direct positive effect on the results of the competency test of social studies teachers in Pontianak City. ABSTRAKCorona Virus Disease (Covid-19) membawa dampak yang sangat besar bagi sektor pendidikan. Salah satunya adalah pergeseran pembelajaran yang tadinya terdapat tatap muka menjadi Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ). Hal ini membuat guru sebagai pendidik dituntut kreatif dalam menyampaikan materi melalui media pembelajaran online. Seorang guru dapat dikatan professional jika mampu beradaptasi dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan serta mampu menerapkan model, metode, media, maupun pendekatan pembelajaran berdasarkan kebutuhan peserta didik. Sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru, maka perlu dilakukan upaya berkesinambungan seperti kegiatan pelatihan maupun pembimbingan bagi guru. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan profesionalitas guru melalui kegiatan Pelatihan Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru Melalui Pembelajaran Berbasis Whiteboard Animation Sederhana Berbantuan Aplikasi Explee. Bentuk kegiatan yang telah dilakukan yaitu 1) memperkenalkan konsep whiteboard animation; 2) memperkenalkan tahapan pembuatan media ajar berbasis animasi dari mulai pra produksi, produksi, hingga pasca produksi; 3) mengenalkan bahan ajar digital berbasis whiteboard animation tematik sesuai dengan mata pelajaran yang diampu. Kata kunci: pelatihan; whiteboard animation; aplikasi Explee. ABSTRACTCorona Virus Disease (Covid-19) has a huge impact on the education sector. One of them is the shift of learning that was once face-to-face to Distance Learning (PJJ). This makes teachers as educators are required to be creative in delivering materials through online learning media. A teacher can be a professional if he is able to adapt to the development of science and is able to apply models, methods, media, and learning approaches based on the needs of learners. As an effort to increase the professionalism of teachers, it is necessary to make continuous efforts such as training and mentoring activities for teachers. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve teacher professionalism through Teacher Competency Improvement Training through Simple Whiteboard Animation-Based Learning Assisted by Explee Application. The form of activities that have been done is 1) introducing the concept of whiteboard animation; 2) introduce the stages of making animation-based teaching media from pre-production, production, to post-production; 3) introduce digital teaching materials based on thematic whiteboard animation in accordance with the subjects that are mastered.  Keywords: training; whiteboard animation; explee application.

Abstract The Covid-19 disaster changed as well as limited students’ learning space in carrying out learning activities at school. The face-to-face learning process was suspended and transformed into an online system. This education emergency demands rapid changes that must be made by all components of education, especially teachers. The enactment of the regulation on limiting the students’ learning activities required teachers as educational facilitators to be ready and alert in changing the educational pattern. This study described the readiness of teachers and the resilience of teacher strategies in carrying out learning during the pandemic in accordance with teacher competency standards in Law Number 14 of 2005. The research data was collected through observation, questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis was performed using descriptive analysis and questionnaire data scoring. The results showed that according to the four teacher competencies, i.e. pedagogic, personality, social, and professional competences, only personality competency was in the good category range, while the other three components according to the average score are in the moderate category range. Therefore, some improvements on the the mitigation and resilience of teachers' strategies when facing emergency disaster are needed.

Teachers should be respected because teachers have a concern for the success of learning in school. Education conducted in schools is related to the era of globalization. Teachers who work professionally still need the ability to organize all aspects of life in society. But there are various problems faced by teachers in Indonesia. Elementary school teachers who have undergraduate diplomas are still few in Indonesia. Teachers are distributed in Indonesia less evenly. The welfare of teachers working in Indonesia is still of concern. The type of research used is qualitative research. This research was conducted by searching various library materials. The government's effort to increase professional teachers is done by granting lecture permits through tertiary education. Efforts to increase professional teachers are also carried out by the government through activities such as seminars, training, and teacher certification programs. The government's effort to increase professional teachers is done by giving UKG (Teacher Competency Exams). Government efforts to increase professional teachers are carried out through institutionalized activities such as PKG (Teacher Activity Center) and KKG (Teacher Working Group). Government efforts to increase professional teachers are carried out through zoning systems activities.

KKM is the target of the education unit in achieving the competence of each subject. The education unit must make every effort to exceed the specified KKM. The success of achieving KKM is one of the benchmarks for the performance of the education unit in implementing educational programs. Education units with a high KKM and implemented responsibly can be a benchmark for the quality of education for the community. Therefore, there needs to be activities that can improve teacher competence in compiling KKM so that KKM in schools can really be measured and  accounted. The method in this research is the action research method (action research). This study uses a qualitative approach. The subject of the study was the teacher of MTs Daarul Muhsinin in the area of ​​the Ministry of Religion Office of Labuhan Batu Regency. The number of teachers who participated in this activity was 29 people. The results of the first cycle activities still cannot be said to be successful, this is because the average score of the teachers is still below 50 or less. In the second cycle, the training activities were followed up by providing practical assistance, in which the researcher and participants jointly set the minimum completeness criteria. In the second cycle, the results of determining the minimum completeness criteria for subjects prepared by the teacher increased sharply, this was evidenced by the teachers getting an average score of 85 or good. From the results of the study it can be concluded that there is an increase in teacher competence in determining minimum completeness criteria. In the first cycle the average teacher competency score was 25 or less, then increased to 85 or good. This means that training activities have a positive impact on increasing teacher competence in determining minimum completeness criteria.
