In analyzing the comparison of the cost of acceleration with the acceleration time used by the method Time Cost Trade Off. The analysis is done by using / shortening (crashing) time of implementation by using an alternative to increase working hours (overtime) for 3 hours. With apply the TCTO analysis, the implementation of the construction of the Sei Hanyu Bridge project after its duration performed calculations using the crash duration method, it was found that the time needed to accelerate the construction of the Sei Hanyu Bridge in Kapuas Regency for 1038 calendar days(148 weeks), can be accelerated 44 days from the original planning 1082 calendar days (155 weeks). With the acceleration of the completion of the construction of the Sei Hanyu bridge in Kapuas Regency, an additional fee of Rp. 175,160,710.43 is required with an additional cost (cost slope) of Rp 3,980,925.24 per day for 44 days, so the optimal costs needed to accelerate the construction of the Sei Hanyu bridge in Kapuas Regency was Rp. 45,102,729,928.11 originally planned for Rp.44,927,569,217.68

In the implementation of construction project activities there are thre things that influence the success and failure of the project: time, cost and quality. The success of a project is usually seen from the timing of completion which is relatively short but without neglecting the quality of the project work. Appropriate and targeted project management and management are required to ensure the time, cost, and quality of the project. This is certainly to avoid a variety of undesirable things such as late settlement, swelling costs, quality failures, and so on that could have an impact on project failure and the emergence of the cost of fines. The purpose of this study is to calculate changes in cost and time of project implementation with alternatives to additional working hours (overtime) comparing the results between normal and cost changes after the addition of working hours (overtime). The data used in this research is secondary data obtained from contractor implementing. Arrow diagram The results program are critical paths and cost increases due to the addition of working hours (overtime) while the result of the time cost trade off method is the acceleration of duration and the increased cost due to the acceleration of duration in any accelerated activity. The results of this study indicate that the total project time and cost under normal conditions is 508 days at a cost of Rp 22.240.655.701  with the addition of 3 hours of overtime work in the duration of crashing 485 days and at a cost of Rp 23.252.220.373,34

Means of transportation at present is very important to continue to be built effectively and efficiently to the level of fluency and accuracy of time toward the goal easier and faster and to meet minimum service standards of the highway. In line with that so that the toll road remain in the minimum service standards need to be additional road capacity to effectively and efficiently for that it is necessary to study whether the possible acceleration of road capacity expansion projects, so that the level of minimum service standards can be maintained and to what extent the effect of accelerating the schedule project on development costs. One method that can be used to analyze the effect of accelerating the project towards the costs is to analyze the exchange of money and time (time cost trade off).Variables used in the calculation of "Acceleration Schedule of Construction and Completion Costs Effect on Construction Project "is the direct labor, equipment, overtime working hours, method of construction, all have an influence on the different costs, acceleration (crash) or compression of time that have done the job and the biggest costs related to the work that has the greatest cost , a benefit if the toll road opened in advance of the acceleration due to a smaller project compared to the costs required for expediting the project construction on this project, based on the cost of the acceleration is not necessary because the costs to perform a greater acceleration when compared with a benefit.

Abstract: Crashing  project duration is conducted when the project experience schedule delay. The consequence of this crashing is needed the additional cost to anticipate the delay. Choosing the right activity for the reduction will provide additional cost efficiency. The purpose of this research is to develop time-cost trade-off (TCTO) model for tie beam activity. The model was developed based on the respondent's perception through the questionnaire, and collecting the Budget Plan Report. Respondents in this study are director, estimator, and project manager at contractor who is domiciled in West Aceh District. The results showed that the tie beam can be broken down into sub activities such formwork, rebar and concrete that have different characteristics in tie beam activities based on TCTO model. Based on these conditions, the sub activities activities can be accelerated from the normal duration of the project are 60%, 50% and 60% respectively and the required additional cost is 2.88% per day, 2.93% per day, and 3.88% per day. Keywords : Project Crashing, Crash Duration, Additional cost, Model TCTO, Tie beam, West of Aceh, Formwork, Rebar work, Concrete workAbstrak: Percepatan schedule sering dilakukan ketika kemajuan proyek dinilai mengalami keterlambatan terhadap rencana awal. Offering warranty for a second-hand item stimulates the sales of the item, but at the same time, it accumulates additional warranty servicing cost. This additional cost can be reduced through actions that improve the reliability of the item, such as overhaul and upgrade. An upgrade action brings the second-hand item to an improved functional state and it effectively reduces the age of the item. In this paper, we propose a model aiming to determine the optimal upgrade action strategies that achieve a sensible trade-off between the cost of an upgrade action and the reduction of the expected warranty cost due to this action. A practical application case on electric drills is used to illustrate our findings.

AbstractMost construction projects involve subcontracting some work packages. A subcontractor is employed on the basis of their bid as well as according to their availability. A viable schedule must account for resource availability constraints. These resources (e.g. crews, subcontractors) engage in many projects, so they become at the disposal for a new project only in certain periods. One of the key tasks of a planner is thus synchronizing the work of resources between concurrent projects. The paper presents a mathematical model of the problem of selecting subcontractors or general contractor’s crews for a time-constrained project that accounts for the availability of contractors, as well as for the cost of subcontracting works. The proposed mixed integer-binary linear programming model enables the user to perform the time/cost trade-off analysis.

AbstractTime cost trade off is a schedule compression to get projects that are more profitable in terms of time (duration), costs, and income. The aim is to compress the project to an acceptable duration and minimize the total project cost. The reduction in project duration is done by selecting certain activities. The analysis begins by preparing a network diagram (network diagram) using Microsoft Project. After that the crashing process is done using the addition of workers and additional hours of work contained in the critical path. Next do the calculations with the time cost trade off method to find the value of the crash cost and cost slope contained in the critical path. From the results of the analysis, the normal duration of the project is 639 calendar days after the process of crashing, adding work hours to 622 days and labor to 623 calendar days and the initial project cost of Rp. 250,320,084,731 after the process of crashing activities with an alternative addition to labor obtained a fee of Rp. 250,559,140,422 and additional working hours in the amount of Rp. 252,734,398,495. So that it can be concluded with the time cost trade off method there is a reduction in the duration and increase in costs.

Time-cost problems that arise in repetitive construction projects are commonly encountered in project scheduling. Numerous time-cost trade-off approaches, such as mathematical, metaheuristic, and evolutionary methods, have been extensively studied in the construction community. Currently, the scheduling of a repetitive project is conducted using the traditional precedence diagramming method (PDM), which has two fundamental limitations: (1) progress is assumed to be linear from start to finish; and (2) activities in the schedule are connected each other only at the end points. This paper proposes a scheduling method that allows the use of continuous precedence relationships and piece-wise linear and nonlinear activity-time-production functions that are described by the use of singularity functions. This work further develops an adaptive multiple objective symbiotic organisms search (AMOSOS) algorithm that modifies benefit factors in the basic SOS to balance exploration and exploitation processes. Two case studies of its application are analyzed to validate the scheduling method, as well as to demonstrate the capabilities of AMOSOS in generating solutions that optimally trade-off minimizing project time with minimizing the cost of non-unit repetitive projects. The results thus obtained indicate that the proposed model is feasible and effective relative to the basic SOS algorithm and other state-of-the-art algorithms.
