In the paper there are presented observations from the years 1995-2021. Material content of 1355 children and youths in the ages between 2 and 18 years and adults 20-70 years old. In the article they are present the clinical symptoms of Minimal Brain Dysfunction [MBD]. Clinically there are: valgus deformity of the feet, hyperextension of the knees, anterior tilt of the pelvis, hyperlordosis of the lumbar spine. These symptoms are as result of spasticity or sub-spasticity of the muscles. At the same time, we observe in this group of patients “laxity of joints” and this is a result of the changes in the properties of collagen. In the MBD group of patients-there are very often also psychological disorders-similarly like in cases of Attention Deficit & Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Children with MBD often present inclination to hyperactivity-frequent jumping-and it is the main cause of Perthes disease. There are also psychological changes in behavior in adults-and this is described in “Discussion”. It is also given information about physiotherapy of the diseases and disorders in movement system.

It was proved by cross-correlational analysis of EEG of the cohort children of 3-11 years with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), called minimal brain dysfunction (MDM). On the basis of comprehensive diagnostics, including - for the cross-correlation analysis of EEG computer (QEEG) in normal and ADHD construct therapeutic tactics in the treatment of children with this syndrome. Using QEEG data, the authors confirm the violations of interaction between structures of the cerebral cortex with ADHD compared to the norm, especially between the frontal and parietal-occipital region, as well as between the right parietal-occipital region with all the other departments of the cortex.

ABSTRACT Background There is emergent evidence that disturbed eating behaviors, including emotional eating and obesity, co-occur with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children. The current study aims to examine the link between ADHD symptoms, eating behaviors and obesity in ADHD children. Patients and Methods 50 ADHD children diagnosed by Conners scale were included. They completed the Emotional Eating scale adapted for children (ESS-C) to evaluate eating in response to emotions. Parents completed the Children’s Eating Behavior Questionnaire (CEBQ) to assess children’s eating behavior. Multivariable regression analysis was used to detect the most independent factor for higher Body mass Index (BMI) risk. Results: Higher rates of overweight/obesity were detected among ADHD children than among normal population. Also, higher Conners global index was associated with higher BMI z-scores. Both Inattentive and combined types were linked to higher BMI, while hyperactive type with lower BMI. Regarding eating behaviors, a positive association between food approach and BMI, and a negative association between food avoidant and BMI z-scores was found. Similarly, there was a noteworthy positive relation between emotional overeating and BMI. 68% of ADHD children were high emotional eaters, mainly inattentive and combined types. Others, mainly hyperactive type, were low emotional eaters. Only ESS-C total score was confirmed as independent factor for higher BMI risk. Conclusion Our findings provide evidence that emotional overeating and food approach eating behaviors are common among ADHD children with higher BMI associated with them. Future studies for better understanding of this overlap will enhance potential interventions.

Parents and teachers play a significant role in the diagnosis of ADHD in children in the clinical setting. With the same in consideration a study was conducted to compare the perception between parents and teachers on the rating scales for ADHD children. The study was conducted on a sample of parents and teachers of 100 children diagnosed as having ADHD as per ICD-10 diagnostic criteria. A newly constructed and standardized parent rating scale for parents of ADHD children and attention deficit comprehensive teacher rating scale for teachers was administered on the target sample. Results indicate that there was statistically no significant difference in the rating of perception between parents and teachers on four dimensions, viz (i) attention (ii) hyperactivity (iii) social skills (iv) oppositional behaviour of ADHD children. To verify these findings, positive correlation was found between parents and teachers perception on all the four dimensions.J Med Sci.2010;13(1);11-14

The most common feet pathologies of children are valgus and valgus planus deformities, which are congenital or connected with neurological dysfunctions (Minimal Brain Dysfunction). In adults, and mostly in women, we observe: 1. Köhler’s disease among girls wearing improper shoes. 2. Insufficiency and pain of the front part of feet connected with limited toes flexion, 3. Valgus deformity of the big toes (hallux valgus), 4. “Ankle Joint Pain Syndrome” (AJPS)-sometimes also “Knee Joint Pain Syndrome” (KJPS)-described by us only in USA, India and Czech Republic. In presented article, we describe this special type of foot insufficiency- “instability of ankle or knee, or both joints”-on left leg in drivers and right leg in passengers in countries with right-hand traffic. More frequent it concerns the foot and article focus on this problem.

Concentration disorders accompanied by hyperactivity in children with ADHD are conditions that show symptoms of lack concentration, hyperactivity and impulsiveness that causes an imbalance of most of their life activities. This makes parents have difficulty in providing prayer guidance to children who have ADHD. Starting from this problem, the researcher tries to make a scientific about Parents' Method in the Development of Child Prayers Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) (Case Study of ADHD Children in Kulam Kemukiman Syamtarail Village, North Aceh)." This study was conducted to describe the method parents in providing prayer services to children with ADHD in  Kulam Kemukiman Syamtarail Village, North Aceh. This thesis research method uses the case study method which is a study that tries to examine individuals or a unit in depth with a qualitative approach. In collecting data researchers conducted observations and direct interviews within formants who have been used as samples, as well as documentation. While the analysis of data through observations in this thesis uses a theme analysis model technique where all data after being collected will be processed one by one. The results showed that ADHD children's prayer guidance involved all family members, namely the father, mother, siblings and cousins ​​of ADHD children. As for the methods carried out by the family in the guidance of prayers in children with ADHD can be concluded as follows:1. Intelegently; 2. Be haviour; 3. By monitoring.

Every fourth woman and every sixth man in the world coming to the Orthopedic or Neurology Departments complain of spinal pains - information from WHO, D ecade of Bones and Joints 2000 - 2010 (Lars Lidgren). According to our observations there are six main causes of such spinal disorders: 1. Lumbar Hyperlordosis causes by flexion contracture of hips and in result anterior tilt of the pelvis. Common in persons with Minimal Brain Dysfunction (MBD). Pain syndromes appear after overstress in some kinds of jobs or in sport. 2. Lumbar or thoracic - lumbar left convex “C” scoliosis in 2nd/A etiopathological group (epg) or ”S” scoliosis in 2nd/B epg in Lublin classification. Pain syndromes appear after overstr ess in some kinds of jobs or in sport. 3. Stiffness of the spine as clinical sign of “I” scoliosis in 3rd epg group in Lublin classification. 4. Spondylolisth esis or spodylolisis in sacral - lumbar or lumbar spine. 5. Urgent “nucleus prolapsed” (in German “Hexen Sch uss”). 6. Extremely cooling of the back part of trunk during work or intensive walking in low temperature. In many of patients in clinical examination we see positive Laseguae test. Sometimes we see weakness of extensors of the feet or paresis of the foot. Our observations confirm that not surgery, but physiotherapy can be beneficial to the patients with spinal problems.

BackgroundAttention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common mental disorders that manifest among children. Despite the fact that the teacher's role is essential in the assessment and management of pupils with ADHD and the recommendation of participation of teachers for the success and efficiency of diagnoses and treatment, the vast majority of teachers have neither understanding nor knowledge of ADHD.ObjectivesThe current study explores the kindergarten and elementary school teachers’ knowledge regarding early detection and management of ADHD.MethodsCross sectional survey using stratified random sampling technique was carried out in governmental and private elementary and kindergarten schools in four cities of Qassim region, Saudi Arabia.ResultsThe study included 1095 teachers, 711 (59.3%) did not get information about ADHD during undergraduate studies. Teachers’ overall ADHD knowledge mean was 21.7 + 5.5 out of 38 marks. Teachers with high qualification degree and kindergarten specialty scored 56.4% and 60.2%, respectively. Teachers who attended conferences related to ADHD scored 64.5%, while teachers who read about ADHD or have been ever asked to diagnose/teach an ADHD student had 59.4% and 62.1%, respectively. The sources for those who got their information through reading were statistically significant in overall knowledge, general knowledge and treatment dimensions. As scientific studies and books were the highest with percentage of 24.6% and 23.3%, respectively, 4% and 3.6%, respectively, 3% and 3%, respectively. The level of ADHD knowledge perception showed that 76% of teachers were knowledgeable in relation to overall ADHD perception.ConclusionTeachers who have higher qualifications or training in identifying ADHD children scored higher in our study.Disclosure of interestThe authors have not supplied their declaration of competing interest.

Since the turn of the century, researchers have believed that attention deficit disorder (ADD) involves brain dysfunction. Many theories have been researched in an attempt to resolve the nature of brain dysfunction that has resulted in behaviors associated with ADD. In the past two decades, with an expansion of research technology, significant changes have occurred in the conceptualization of ADD—with or without hyperactivity—as well as in the neurological models relating to the etiology of this disorder. This article reviews these models and presents neuroanatomical, neurochemical, and neurophysiological perspectives on ADD.
