There are limited research studies about the development of questionnaire to assess the level of primary school students’ curiosity towards STEM education. In this research, curiosity towards STEM Education Questionnaire (CQ-STEM) instrument was developed based on Berlyne’s Theory of Curiosity. CQ-STEM consisted of 10 items measuring the two constructs of curiosity towards STEM, namely exploration and acceptance. A total of 166 fifth graders aged 10 to 11 years enrolled in five urban schools in Sabah, Malaysia made up the research sample. Rasch Measurement Model was applied to determine the validity and reliability of CQ-STEM. The validity of the CQ-STEM instrument was well established among the constructs of exploration and acceptance through the person fit, item fit, item polarity, unidimensionality, and variable map. The CQ-STEM instrument was found to have a high reliability with a Cronbach’s alpha value (KR-20) of .93. CQ-STEM has an excellent item reliability and moderate high item separation value of .96 and 4.83 respectively. In conclusion, CQ-STEM has good validity and high reliability in measuring curiosity towards STEM Education among primary school students. Keywords: curiosity towards STEM Education, primary school students, Rasch Measurement Model, validity and reliability, questionnaire development

The Curiosity towards STEM Education Questionnaire Instrument (CQI-STEM) was developed to measure the level of curiosity towards STEM education among primary school students. CQI-STEM consisted of 10 items measuring the two constructs of curiosity towards STEM, namely stretching, and embracing. A total of 166 years five students aged 10 to 11 years enrolled in five urban schools in the Tawau district, Sabah was involved as a research sample. Rasch Measurement Model was applied to determine the validity and reliability of CQI-STEM. The results of the validity analysis found that the polarity of the items through the PTMEA-CORR values showed that all 10 items were > .00 (+). Through item fit analysis, all items were retained because items meet the requirements of the range in MNSQ outfit, ZSTD outfit, and PTMEA-CORR. The value of Raw Variance Explained by Measures was 63.1% (excellent) and the value of Unexplained variance in the first contrast was below 15%, showing that the instrument had strong dimensionality and high construct validity. The CQI-STEM instrument was found to have high reliability with a Cronbach’s alpha value (KR-20) of .93. Results also showed that CQI-STEM has excellent item reliability and moderate-high item separation value of .96 and 4.83 respectively. CQI-STEM also has high person reliability and person separation value of .92 and 3.48 respectively. In conclusion, CQI-STEM has good validity and high reliability in measuring curiosity towards STEM Education among year five students in primary schools.

Malaysia is considered one of the developing countries undergoing rapid economic development over the past five decades. As a developing country with a rapidly growing population, providing the citizens with comprehensive and updated knowledge is crucial for the country, particularly in vocational training. A number of vocational and technical training have been developed. However, the success of vocational education relies on the capability of instructors or teacher’s approach to achieve the goals. It is important to create appropriate method that take into consideration their students’ learning styles to get better outcome. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to develop vocational learning styles instrument. Empirical evidence on the validity and reliability of modified items has been done. A survey of 57 Electrical Technology students were distributed. The Rasch measurement model was used to examine the functional items and detect the item and respondent reliability and index separation, the polarity of item, measuring the fit of item in measuring the construct and standardised residual correlation values.

Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT) Module - Creative Guidance is designed to prevent irrational thoughts, lower aggressive behavior, and increase self-esteem. This module contains seven sub-modules based on behavioral approaches based on the theory of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) by Albert Ellis (1955) and integrated with creative Guidance. It combines elements of Music, technology, and play. To measure the validity of the content, the certification method by five experts was used while 40 primary school students aged 11 years were selected to follow the guidance program using this module. It is run for two weeks in a row. The findings of the study show that the REBT-Creative Guidance Module has a content validity index value of 80%., The cost of Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of Creative REBT-Guidance Module is high at .978. Reliability with an amount.930 In conclusion, new contributions to guidance and counseling teachers in Malaysia. It is also suitable for use in a local context focused on primary school students. Counselors can also use this module, Teachers or facilitators as one of the alternative interventions for primary school students throughout Malaysia, especially on the Development and Development of Student Personality, Improving Student Discipline, Improving Student Careers and Psychosocial and Mental Well-Being.

Modernization of general music education requires constant improvement of its quality, updating of the content and organizational forms, and is also an important factor in the integration of innovative technologies aimed at improving the effectiveness of training. Intensive changes are now taking place in music and pedagogical education, which is aimed at the creative development of a person who is able to quickly respond to possible changes in the educational environment, to solve the problem of adaptation of a young person in society. As an integral part of spiritual culture, creative activity is the basis of personal development and is a social reserve for the humanization of society. The validity and reliability of the obtained scientific results is ensured by the use of such methods of research at the theoretical and empirical levels: analysis and generalization of philosophical, art history, psychological and pedagogical literature, systematization, classification and interpretation of the obtained theoretical and experimental data, the study of pedagogical experience in the system of music and pedagogical education. The paper presents the results of the theoretical generalization and practical solution of the problem of the formation of creative activity of primary school students in music lessons, which is reflected in the justification, development and experimental verification of a step-by-step methodology for the formation of the phenomenon under study by including children in various forms of educational and musical activities.

Nowadays, the industrial revolution 4.0 had given a great impact on education. An active environment which applied technology in education can developed multiple skills in students. Technology Enabled/Enhanced Active Learning (TEAL) is one of the active environments that used technology in education. TEAL is the combination of several active learning domains which enhances students' understanding of learning and built job-related skills. However, students have lack of knowledge in their field which led to increase in unemployment of students. Hence, TEAL can help students in perform their practical works to develop knowledge and skills in students. This pilot study was distributed survey question about create an active and effective environment using TEAL application among the engineering students. The survey is consisted of 141 items and was distributed to 40 respondents. This pilot study used Rasch Measurement Model for measuring the validity and reliability of survey questions. Winsteps software is used to check the functionality of the item in terms of (i) Reliability and separation of respondents - items; (ii) detect the polarity items of PTMEA CORR Value; (iii) the item fit based on MNSQ Value; and (iv) Determine the dependent items based on the standardized residual value measurement correlation. The final result 109 items is suitable to use for measurement of the real study in future work.
