Along with the development of the times and culture's contact from outside, the moral boundaries that are firmly held by the community are increasingly unclear. At school, for example, many students experience a decline in moral reasoning. However, the limited literature that focuses on improving moral reasoning with a quasi-experimental approach, the author will examine psychological interventions Rational Emotive Behavior Counseling (REB) and Psychoeducation (PSE). This study aims to identify differences in effectiveness between group counseling interventions with PSE and REB in improving students' moral reasoning. The author uses a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest follow-up design. The study subjects were Sarbini Islamic Junior High School students who had low moral levels. The research subjects consisted of 22 students divided into 11 students in the PSE group and 11 students in the counseling group with the REB approach. The data analysis results showed differences in students' moral reasoning in the REB and PSE groups. The average increase in students' moral reasoning was higher in the REB group than in the PSE group. The author concludes that group counseling with REB and PSE approaches can be applied to improve moral reasoning in students in schools, especially those based on Islam. However, for more optimal results, the authors suggest using REB.

Delinquent adolescents with depressive disorder have a higher number than the general adolescent population. Depression is associated with negative behavior and moral misconduct that can endanger themselves and society. Thus, this study aims to identify the effectiveness of the Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) module in overcoming depression among delinquent adolescents. This study involved a total of 100 adolescents age between 15 to 20 who were detained under the juvenile justice system at Sekolah Tunas Bakti (STB), Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. All respondents were selected using simple random sampling and divided into two groups, namely the treatment group (n = 50) who received therapy using the REBT module, and the control group (n = 50) who were not given the same therapy. ANCOVA repeated measure was used to identify the significant changes in depression score between groups. The results of the analysis showed that there were significant differences between groups. Adolescents who were received therapy using the REBT module showed lower depression scores than adolescents from the control group. This study provides an important finding as an alternative intervention therapy to be used by the therapists and the trainers at the juvenile rehabilitation center in promoting adolescents’ positive emotions.

In an adolescent, the development phase causes a variety of conflicts. One of the most common problems among adolescents is the issue of love breakup. It can lead to the disruption of self-concept which eventually leads to a failure to overcome real problems. Hence, this study was conducted to explore the effectiveness of Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) to address the problem of self -concept among adolescents. This is a qualitative study using interview sessions as a study design. The study was based on a counseling case of a teenage female client who was going through a breakup. The client suffered from depression and feels inferior to her self -image and chooses to isolate herself from others. Thus, the Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) was utilized to reestablish the client's self -concept. REBT therapy enables the client to change the negative way of thinking to positive and rationalize her thinking to avoid her feeling depressed with the issue of the breakup. This is important in ensuring that the client successfully solves her problems and can give full commitment to her learning and responsibilities.
