Through the analysis of the New Pinheiros River Program, São Paulo, Brazil, the differences in the solutions presented are considered to implement environmental projects in different territories over the same sub-basin. Vulnerable neighborhoods upstream will receive only basic infrastructure; while Marginal Pinheiros, a rich place, will be contemplated with aditional leisure, sports and cultural equipments. The general aim is to analyze the process of capitalist production of the Pinheiros River depolluting program area, proposed by the São Paulo State government in 2019, as well as green gentrification and creation of environmental injustice. Methodology consists of bibliographic research and analysis of the program's documents and speeches of people in charge. Global South cities have been experimenting environmental injustice as a result of financial capital investments.

O objetivo desse artigo é verificar como ocorreu a recente expansão das universidades públicas paulistas(USP, UNESP e UNICAMP), mais especificamente, a relação entre a ampliação física, em relação ao projetode universidade preferido pelo Governo do Estado e gradualmente implantado pelas gestões reitorais, que suscitouuma suposta crise. Será utilizado o caso da Universidade de São Paulo, no período compreendido entre a promulgaçãoda Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação (1996) e a data atual. Para orientar a análise, é utilizada a propostade Boaventura de Souza Santos, que identifica a crise global da Universidade em três aspectos principais: umacrise institucional, uma de legitimidade e uma de contradição. Considera-se, ao final, que as universidades públicaspaulistas vivem essas crises e sua expansão, de caráter exclusivamente utilitarista, é parte dessas crises.Palavras-chave: Educação Superior Pública. During the initial months of the COVID-19 pandemic, farmers worldwide were greatly affected by disruptions in the food chain. In 2020, São Paulo city experienced most of the effects of the pandemic in Brazil, with 15,587 deaths through December 2020. Here, we describe the impacts of COVID-19 on urban agriculture (UA) in São Paulo from April to August 2020. We analyzed two governmental surveys of 2100 farmers from São Paulo state and 148 from São Paulo city and two qualitative surveys of volunteers from ten community gardens and seven urban farmers. Our data showed that 50% of the farmers were impacted by the pandemic with drops in sales, especially those that depended on intermediaries. Some farmers in the city adapted to novel sales channels, but 22% claimed that obtaining inputs became difficult. No municipal support was provided to UA in São Paulo, and pre-existing issues were exacerbated. Work on community gardens decreased, but no garden permanently closed. Post COVID-19, UA will have the challenge of maintaining local food chains established during the pandemic. Due to the increase in the price of inputs and the lack of technical assistance, governmental efforts should be implemented to support UA.
