In this paper, the theoretical lower-bound on the success probability of blind reconstruction of Bose–Chaudhuri–Hocquenghem (BCH) codes is derived. In particular, the blind reconstruction method of BCH codes based on the consecutive roots of generator polynomials is mainly analyzed because this method shows the best blind reconstruction performance. In order to derive a performance lower-bound, the theoretical analysis of BCH codes on the aspects of blind reconstruction is performed. Furthermore, the analysis results can be applied not only to the binary BCH codes but also to the non-binary BCH codes including Reed–Solomon (RS) codes. By comparing the derived lower-bound with the simulation results, it is confirmed that the success probability of the blind reconstruction of BCH codes based on the consecutive roots of generator polynomials is well bounded by the proposed lower-bound.

Two people independently and with the same distribution guess the location of an unseen object in n-dimensional space, and the one whose guess is closer to the unseen object is declared the winner. The first person announces his guess, but the second modifies his unspoken idea by moving his guess in the direction of the first guess and as close to it as possible. It is shown that if the distribution of guesses is rotationally symmetric about the true location of the unseen object, ¾ is the sharp lower bound for the success probability of the second guesser. If the distribution is fixed and the dimension increases, then for a certain class of distributions, the success probability approaches 1.

For low-power wireless systems, transmission data volume is a key property, which influences the energy cost and time delay of transmission. In this paper, we introduce compressive sensing to propose a compressed sampling and collaborative reconstruction framework, which enables real-time direction of arrival estimation for wireless sensor array network. In sampling part, random compressed sampling and 1-bit sampling are utilized to reduce sample data volume while making little extra requirement for hardware. In reconstruction part, collaborative reconstruction method is proposed by exploiting similar sparsity structure of acoustic signal from nodes in the same array. Simulation results show that proposed framework can reach similar performances as conventional DoA methods while requiring less than 15% of transmission bandwidth. Also the proposed framework is compared with some data compression algorithms. While simulation results show framework’s superior performance, field experiment data from a prototype system is presented to validate the results.

This paper describes a current-mode third-order quadrature oscillator based on current differencing transconductance amplifiers (CDTAs). Outputs of two current-mode sinusoids with90°phase difference are available in the quadrature oscillator circuit. The oscillation condition and oscillation frequency are orthogonal controllable. The proposed circuit employs only grounded capacitors and is ideal for integration. Simulation results are included to confirm the theoretical analysis.

Abstract Repetitive motion planning (RMP) is important in operating redundant robotic manipulators. In this paper, a new RMP scheme that is based on the pseudoinverse formulation is proposed for redundant robotic manipulators. Such a scheme is derived from the discretization of an existing RMP scheme by utilizing the difference formula. Then, theoretical analysis and results are presented to show the characteristic of the proposed RMP scheme. That is, this scheme possesses the characteristic of cube pattern in the end-effector planning precision. The proposed RMP scheme is further extended and studied for redundant robotic manipulators under joint constraint. Based on a four-link robotic manipulator, simulation results substantiate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed RMP scheme and its extended one.

In this paper, a nonlinear electroacoustic absorber based on a tunable loudspeaker is proposed to broaden its sound absorption bandwidth. The main mechanism is a nonlinear circuit is coupled at loudspeaker's terminal. A series of theoretical analysis and simulation work are carried out in this paper. The equivalent model is composed of a linear term describing the loudspeaker and a nonlinear term of a coupled Duffing-van Der Pol bistable circuit. The invariant manifold method is used to solve different time scales. The analysis and simulation results show that the nonlinear circuit can widen the frequency bandwidth of the structure.

The Series Dynamic Voltage Regulator can compensate the harmonics distortion caused by voltage type harmonic source This paper presents a new approach of detecting harmonic voltage in dq0 coordinates, based on the generalized instantaneous reactive power ,and used in the series dynamic voltage regulator successfully. It is demonstrated by theoretical analysis and simulation results that the proposed detecting method of harmonic voltage is correct and valid.

The dependence of the dynamic range of the phase generated carrier (PGC) technique on low-pass filters passbands is investigated using a simulation model. A nonlinear character of this dependence, which could lead to dynamic range limitations or measurement uncertainty, is presented for the first time. A detailed theoretical analysis is provided to verify the simulation results and these results are consistent with performed calculations. The method for the calculation of low-pass filters passbands according to the required dynamic range upper limit is proposed.

Because the shortcomings of the common asymmetrical half-bridge circuit can't achieve soft switch and has DC bias for the transformer, the paper studies a new asymmetrical half-bridge circuit. Compared with the traditional asymmetrical half-bridge circuit, the circuit is added an auxiliary switch and diode by the composition of the slip. Thus the converter can achieve the control strategy of symmetric PWM. At last the simulation results show that the theoretical analysis is correct.

Orthogonal discrete frequency coding waveforms(DFCWs) is an ideal quasi-orthogonal waveform. This paper analyses the ambiguity function of DFCWs and the results indicate that the correlation characteristics of DFCWs have only relationship with the code length and coding order. Based on the theoretical analysis, we defined the cross-correlation energy as the cost function, and used the improved discrete particle swarmoptimization(DPSO) to optimize the order of DFCWs. The new signal can effectively restrain the cross-correlation level between the two DFCWs. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the designed DFCWs.
