Student academic achievement plays an important role in determining the quality of a school. Student scores sometimes change each semester, there are increases and decreases. There is an assumption that students who scored well in the previous semester will be good in the next semester and vice versa. This method is expected to make it easier for educators to see the extent of changes in student academic achievement. The data tested were data from 60 grade VII students in 2 semesters. Furthermore, it will be tested using the MatLab application, then the results of the changes that will occur will appear. The results of this study found that the correlation between semester 1 scores and semester 2 TP scores. 2019/2020 is very good with an architectural pattern of 10-10-1 with an accuracy value of 95.3%. So students who excel in semester 1 are likely to excel in the next semester, so that they can help the school see the Correlation Level of Student Academic Achievement at SMPN 3 Lengayang.

This article demonstrates the thermal sensitivity and conductivity as well as the water permeability and absorptivity of Mongolian yak wool surfaces according to the Kawabata evaluation method. According to the results of the study, the mean value of thermal sensitivity (Qmax) of yak wool surface is 0.051 w/cm2 for down and 0.061 w/cm2 for coarse hair while the mean value of thermal conductivity is 2.08x10-4 (cal/cm ·0C) for down and 2.63x10-4(cal/cm · 0C) for coarse hair. This study, with its high level of confidence (p = 0.05), proves the difference between down and coarse hair. Additionally, the study shows a strong correlation between the thermal conductivity and the fiber diameter of Mongolian yak wool, resulting in a correlation level of r = -0.80 for down and r = 0.86 for coarse hair.   When measuring the wettability of Mongolian yak wool, yak wool surface exhibited waterproof properties with a contact angle of 146.50 degrees for down hair and a contact angle of 147.10 degrees for coarse hair. The study also revealed a low correlation level of r = 0.39 for down and r = 0.40 for coarse hair when examining the relationship between the contact angle and the diameter of yak wool.

Abstract As microtopography can influence the contact behavior of materials, it is of great significance to study the correlation between morphology characterization parameters and contact performance. In the light of complex relevance of parameters, a method for screening roughness parameters (RP) to characterize contact performance is constructed to get the maximum influence parameters on the contact stress (CS) and avoid the error of experiential selection. Firstly, Pearson's coefficient and BP neural network are utilized to elaborate on correlation level between RP and CS and to build the regression model. Then global sensitivity analysis (Sobol) and local sensitivity analysis (MIV and Garson) are introduced to demonstrate RP quantitative influences on CS and select main RP for characterizing contact performance. The research shows: 1) In the correlation analysis, RP with high correlation and non-collinearity on σmax are Sa, Sdq, S5p, Spk and Svk; With regard to Mpmax and τmax, Sa, S5p, Sdq and Vmp are on display. 2) RP importance sequence based on the results of correlation analysis is: Sa, Spk, Sdq, Svk, S5p for σmax, and Sa, Vmp, Sdq, S5p for Mpmax and τmax. 3) For the comprehensive main parameters model, RP for characterizing contact performance under the three contact stresses are Sa, Spk and Vmp, belonging to height parameter, function parameter and volume parameter, respectively. According to definition, all of them can significantly affect the stress concentration and distribution on contact surface of materials, which validates the rationality of the method.

In this paper, we analyze Sovereign Bond-Backed Securities in the Euro area, concentrating our attention on the return of the different tranches and on their riskiness. We show that as the correlation level among States increases, the yield rate of senior tranches increases while the yield rate of junior tranches decreases. A similar effect is observed when introducing a block dependence structure with high correlation among States belonging to the same block. Introducing a nonzero recovery rate, as opposed to a null recovery rate, decreases the yield rate of senior tranches and increases the yield rate of junior tranches. We compute the loss distribution and the Value at Risk (VaR) associated with the market risk of retaining the different tranches of the bond. We also analyze the possibility of reaching a safe asset through pooling tranches of government bonds of different States. In summary, we show that the issue in reaching a comprehensive and safe offering through the securitization of government bonds is not the safety of senior tranches but the risk of the junior ones.

Abstract Background The goal of this article was to research the psychometric properties of the WHOQOL-BREF(PT) instrument in a sample of elderly citizens residing in a rural area in their own homes or at family members’ or friends’ homes and to compare the results: (i) to those reported by the team of Portuguese researchers that undertaken the instrument's translation/validation to the Portuguese language and (ii) to those reported internationally by the World Health Organization Quality of Life group. An overall quality of life scoring (QOL24—all facets) is also proposed in this article as novelty. The correlation level between QOL24 and the instrument’s general facet was also investigated. Methods This was a cross-sectional study with a sample of 351 elderly citizens (46.4% males and 53.6% females) randomly selected from the official dataset of the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo. All the data were collected by health professionals at the participants’ homes following the structured interview methodology and using the WHOQOL-BREF(PT) instrument. Three different structural equation models were developed: (i) a first-order confirmatory factor analysis, to assess the instrument’s psychometric properties; (ii) a hierarchical second-order confirmatory factor analysis model, to allow determining the QOL24 scoring; and (iii) a more generic structural equation model, to investigate the correlation level between QOL24 and the instrument’s general facet. Results The WHOQOL-BREF(PT) showed an “almost very good” goodness of fit (comparative fit index of 0.949 and Tucker-Lewis index of 0.943), an adequate internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha: from 0.64 to 0.90; composite reliability: from 0.59 to 0.88) and tolerable convergent validity (average variance extracted: from 0.374 to 0.614). However, discriminant validity was not reached because strong correlations between the first-order factors (four QOL domains) were obtained, together with low values of the average variance extracted. The scoring of QOL domains and QOL24, determined as weighted averages (proposed in this article as novelty) were significantly different than those determined as unweighted averages. The standardized correlation coefficient between QOL24 and the instrument’s general facet was of 0.89 (statistically highly significant). Conclusions The WHOQOL-BREF(PT) is a psychometrically sound instrument to assess the QOL of the considered population sample. However, the QOL domains were found strongly intertwined. More studies are necessary to validate the weighted average scoring strategy of QOL domains and QOL24. Concurrent validity between QOL24 and the instrument’s general facet was considered as “strong”.

This article aims to understand the transmission of volatility from the main market indicators of the European financial system, towards market interest rates, focusing on the prices of the swap with maturity of one year and payments of three months as endogen variable and the three main indexes of the European market as CAD, DAX3, and IBEX35, as an exogenous variable. The exogenous will absorb all the necessary information from the market agents as companies, banks, investments funds, or from externals disturbances as European Central Banks and will affect the levels and the slope of the swap prices.  Introduction. SWAP is the financial instrument that will be employed to analyze the changes of the volatility in the market because it is the bigger derivative inside of the group of Fixed Income Assets. It is with the greatest depth and liquidity being one of the best instruments for developing market strategies of investment. Aim. Analyst the transmission of volatility from the systematic risk, represented by indices of the market, through the swap prices. Results. DAX30 and CAD transference of volatility are positive, in the particular case of the CAD the effect of transference is significantly positive and extended because the coefficient is greater than 1. IBEX35 provides an extended negative correction. Meaning for every one percentage point change in the IBEX35, It can be expected on average that the volatility of the swap will move in -4.19 percentage point. Conclusion: The slope of the curve o the endogen variables will be determined by the transmission of the volatility from the exogenous variables and the correlation level of the endogenous will adopt with each index
