According to the health field concept, the most important factor affecting health is a lifestyle. The current upward trend in overweight and obesity among younger populations is a consequence of inadequate lifestyle habits. The study aimed to characterise youth nutrition behaviour and knowledge in the context of the risk of developing overweight or obesity. The study group consisted of 307 high school students, 59% females and 41% males, aged between 15 and 19. Nutrition behaviours were studied using the standardised Questionnaire of Eating Behaviour. Body weight and body height were measured with a body composition analyser and a body height meter, respectively. It was observed that the average body mass index was 21.7 ± 3.4 kg/m2 for the females and 22.3 ± 3.1 kg/m2 for the males (p = 0.036). Disturbed weight-to-height ratios (i.e., overweight and obesity) were found in 15.6% of the females and 16.5% of the males. The diets of approximately 90% of these youth were characterised by excessively low pro-health product content. The males showed a significantly higher intensity of adverse health traits compared to the females (8.1% vs. 0.7%, p = 0.002). More than half of the males presented insufficient knowledge about food and nutrition (53.5% vs. 30.8%, p < 0.001). Regardless of gender, the study showed a positive correlation between adolescents’ level of knowledge and the pro-health diet index (gamma coefficient: 0.42, p < 0.001) and a negative correlation between their level of knowledge and the unhealthy diet index (gamma coefficient: −0.66, p < 0.001). The level of knowledge was closely related to the indicators of the intensities and adverse health characteristics of their diets. These results indicate the need for educational programs to raise awareness among youth in civilisation backgrounds.

The increase in COVID-19 cases encourages the need for health efforts from various sectors. The number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Palangka Raya City is the highest in Central Kalimantan province. The Ministry of Education urged the implementation of 3M education, such as wearing masks, washing hands, and social distancing, to stop the transmission of COVID-19. This study aims to describe the level of knowledge, attitudes, and preventive behaviors related to COVID-19 and the association between knowledge and attitudes with preventive behaviors related to COVID-19 in students of MAN Kota Palangka Raya. This research is a cross-sectional study that involved 339 students as respondents. Data was collected using google form in October 2020. 98.8% of students had good knowledge of COVID-19, and 87.0% of students had positive attitudes about preventing COVID-19, but only 54.6% of students had good preventing behaviors related to COVID-19. Association was found between attitudes toward COVID-19 with preventive behaviors related to COVID-19 in MAN Palangka Raya City students in 2020. 3M's preventive behavior education efforts still need to be improved to stop the transmission of COVID-19.

Nowadays, the shifting of fixed orthodontic function becomes a lifestyle is more popular than before. The study is purpose to determine a relationship between teenager behaviour (knowledge, attitudes, and action) to fixed orthodontic appliance.This study using cross sectional study design. The sample was a high school students of Don Bosco Padang, Sumatera Barat. The number of samples are 90 people, that chosen by proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The data was collected by using a questionnaire to measure the level of knowledge, attitude and action. Data analysis using Chi-Square test. The result showed there was no significant relationship between teenager knowledge, attitude, and action with fixed orthodontic application in high school students of Don Bosco Padang. The conclusion from this study is that most of high school students of Don Bosco Padang have a high knowledge, positive attitude, and good action about fixed orthodontic treatment

The development of healthy eating habits in adolescence is perceived as an effective strategy to avoid health problems in adulthood. The involvement of educational centres’ governing boards, as well as the Educational State and Regional Administrations’, may be necessary to create healthy food environments during the school day. The objective of this study is to identify the relationship between students’ eating habits during the school day and sociodemographic, family and physical activity variables, as well as the existence of a school cafeteria. For this, a cross-sectional study in a stratified random sample of 8068 students of Public Secondary Education High Schools of Andalusia (Spain) has been carried out. The results show that students who are 14 years old or older are more likely to skip breakfast at home (odds ratio (OR): 1.81, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.55–2.12) than those under this age. Students whose mothers do not have a university education are more likely to consume incomplete breakfasts (OR: 1.83, 95% CI: 1.26–2.65). Snacks with sweets (OR: 1.93, 95% CI: 1.67–2.23), candy in general (OR: 2.75, 95% CI: 2.38–3.19), and bagged crisps (OR: 3.06, 95% CI: 2.65–3.54) were more likely to be consumed in schools with a cafeteria. The factors that significantly influence the eating habits of secondary students in Andalusia include age, sex, parental level of education, physical activity and the existence of a cafeteria.

Required number of students from each class was selected using systematic random sampling. Results: The overweight students were mainly boys and the underweight students were mainly girls. Nutritional value of the majority of students was poor due to consumption of junk foods, lack of exercise, outdoor activities, inadequate intake of food and imbalanced diet. Conclusion: In the present study, majority of high school students in 8th, 9th, and 10th standards were underweight, and the prevalence of overweight and obesity were less. Introduction: Conjunctivitis is a common health problem in Nepal. It is inflammation of conjunctiva presenting as red eye. It is a communicable eye disease. Health education to the students and proper management can help spread of the disease. Knowledge of conjunctivitis among school students will help in prevention of the disease. So the study was carried out to assess the knowledge of conjunctivitis among high school students in Pokhara valley of Western Nepal. Materials/ Methods: A school based cross sectional study was performed among six government schools in western Nepal from May 2019 to June 2019. Students from grade eight, nine and ten were included in the study. Data was collected using structured questionnaire including demographic data, knowledge regarding sign symptoms of conjunctivitis, treatment, prevention, complication of conjunctivitis. Data was analysed using SPSS version 11.6. Result: A total of 523 students were included in the study. The mean age of the students was 14.7 ± 1.2 years with majority of females (53%). Nearly 2/3rd of the students (61.6%) had heard of conjunctivitis. Majority of the students (87.4%) of the students mentioned that it is communicable while 80.3% of the students correctly mentioned its etiology. Majority of the students (97.9%) mentioned that it is curable with treatment as first option (97.5%). Majority of the students (98.3%) correctly responded to the preventive measures but majority of the students (83.2%) wrongly mentioned mode of transmission. Conclusion: Secondary school students in Western Nepal have poor knowledge of conjunctivitis. Appropriate eye health education should be given to school students to prevent rapid spread of infective conjunctivitis.
