The important influence that incremental innovation has, both on the organization’s results and on the development of disruptive innovations in a synergistic relationship of positive sum, makes it necessary to deepen its study. In the context of absorptive capacity, this paper aims to contribute to the construction of a specific model of routines for more efficient exploitation. The empirical study was carried out in a sample of Spanish manufacturing companies of the PITEC Panel. The results show the superiority of the market as a source of knowledge compared to other sources with more complex knowledge, but not adjusted to the needs of a minor improvement. In addition, the management of external knowledge is a process whose phases are interrelated, so the routines and resources used must contribute to enriching the external knowledge previously acquired and not be redundant. Therefore, that would mean an inefficient allocation of resources for obtaining and exploiting continuous innovation.

ObjectivesGuidelines on advising patients on fitness to drive have been published recently by the Road Safety Authority in collaboration with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. The aim of this audit is to assess if the new guidelines are being adhered to.MethodExamination of the documentation and adherence to the guidelines in the inpatient psychiatric unit, Mayo General Hospital.ResultsOf the 100 patients included in audit cycle one, none had any specific documentation about driving. One patient was admitted with alcohol misuse and was driving. On re-auditing, following presentation at academic meeting and education of team members on the guidelines, there was a minor improvement of 7%.ConclusionThere was no significant difference in documentation on re-audit. However, an increase of 7% is nonetheless encouraging. Information concerning driving should be a standard part of advice given to all psychiatric patients.

This study aims to analyze the green CSR  of innovation performance  with firms approval variables  and public visibility   can support moderating the relationship of green CSR  and innovation. The research sample was 33 manufacturing companies. The results showed that the  green CSR has a positive and significant effect on innovation . Also, the company approval variable has been proven to moderate the direction of a positive relationship between green CSR and innovation . The results also prove that public visibility is proven to moderate the direction of the negative relationship between green CSR and performance. This study provide information that shows great concern for the environment; it will increase the company in making changes through innovation activities. Also, the higher the company's approval and public visibility, the company will get support from various stakeholders to run the firms. The level of company concern for CSR activities will be a misjudgment for investors.

This paper presents the development of T<sub>M</sub> model by using the radiosonde stations from Peninsular Malaysia. Two types of T<sub>M</sub> model were developed; site-specific and regional models. The result revealed that the estimation from site-specific model has small improvement compared to the regional model, indicating that the regional model is adequately to use in estimation of GPS-derived IWV over Peninsular Malaysia. Meanwhile, this study found that the diurnal cycle of T<sub>S</sub> has influenced the T<sub>M</sub>&amp;ndash;T<sub>S</sub> relationship. The separation between daytime and nighttime observation can improve the relationship of T<sub>M</sub>&amp;ndash;T<sub>S</sub>. However, the impact of diurnal cycle to IWV estimation is less than 1&amp;thinsp;%. The T<sub>M</sub> model from Global and Tropic also been evaluated. The Tropic T<sub>M</sub> model is superior to be utilized as compared to the Global T<sub>M</sub> model.

This study empirically investigates the effect of disclosure elements of integrated reporting on firm value. Business complexity is used as a moderating variable in the effect of integrated reporting on firm value. A total of 189 samples of manufacturing companies registered on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2017 met the criteria using the purposive sampling method. A multiple linear regression analysis using SEM-PLS program is employed as a data analysis tool. The results showed that integrated reporting has significant effect on firm value. Business complexity moderates the relationship of disclosure integrated reporting to firm value. The better quality of information disclosure from element of integrated reporting increases investor confidence thereby increasing firm value.

This study aims to determine the effect of Employee Empowerment, Emotional Intelligence, and Employee Job Satisfaction in Plan A in one of the automotive parts and accessories manufacturing companies in Cimahi City, either partially or simultaneously. Considering that in the activities of industrial companies in this study, employees are required to achieve production targets with a predetermined processing time as an effort to meet company targets in order to achieve company goals. So, it is very necessary to have employee commitment in this research company. Descriptive verification is the method that researchers use. Primary data in this study were obtaind from the results of statements (questionnaires) which were distributed directly to 174 respondents, while secondary data were obtained from employee data in this study. SPSS v.25 software is used in this study to analyze multiple linear regression and to test hypotheses. The results obtained are that there is a partially significant effect of employee empowerment on organizational commitment with a positive direction relationship of 0.523; Emotional Intelligence has a significant effect on partial organizational commitment with a positive direction relationship of 0.627; Then on employee job satisfaction as the third independent variable found the results that have a partially significant effect on organizational commitment with a positive direction relationship of 0.063; Employee Empowerment, Emotional Intelligence, and employee job satisfaction can simultaneously affect organizational commitment. In addition, there are results obtained that this research is in the category of a fairly strong relationship with a positive correlation, so it can be concludeid that if the independent variables of employe empowerment, emotional intelligence, and employee job satisfaction are high, the organizational commitment is also higher.

The paper analyses the implications of increasing technological complexity and organizational restructuring for the knowledge accumulation activities of the subsidiaries of multinational corporations (MNCs). An analysis of foreign-owned subsidiaries in the German pharmaceutical industry in 1975-1995 indicates that the restructuring and intensification of knowledge exchange mechanisms in MNCs are an essential factor to enable subsidiaries to play a more creative role in knowledge generation. Although subsidiaries might use internal and external knowledge networks in their knowledge accumulation process in a complementary way, the purposes differ. In particular, the international internal knowledge networks of subsidiaries have been used increasingly for incremental knowledge building within the same field, whereas local external knowledge networks have been used far more for transferring more technologically complex knowledge.

This chapter explores the relationship of U.S. defense management to public administration. It argues that public administration, as a field of study, plays a minor role in defense acquisition, because acquisition has unique characteristics that separate it from the mainstream of the field. The tenuous connections between acquisition and public administration have led to an issue of academic legitimacy in that the discipline has failed to respond to the needs of acquisition professionals. The chapter then presents a discussion and illustration of philosophical pragmatism as a potential contribution of administrative theory to acquisition practice, and it concludes with thoughts on the potential for acquisition to adopt pragmatism as a guiding way for thought and practice.
