Micro-nano 3D printing of the conductive 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene polymer (PEDOT) was performed in this study. An oil immersion objective lens was introduced into the 3D photofabrication system using a femtosecond pulsed laser as the light source. As a result, the processing resolution in the horizontal and vertical directions was improved in comparison to our previous study. A relatively high electrical conductivity (3500 S/cm) was found from the obtained 3D PEDOT micro-structures. It is noteworthy that the high conductivity of the PEDOT was obtained in the mixed state with an insulating Nafion sheet.

ABSTRACTPulsed laser-induced melting followed by crystallization and amorphization were studied on silicon-germanium alloy (SiGe) films. Although amorphization was achieved on SiGe films, it was not observed in pure Ge films. Crystalline nucleation density in homogeneous solidification increased as Ge concentration increased. It was 1×1024m-3for Si0.22Ge0.78 films, while it was 4×1022m-3 for pUre si films. Electrical conductivity of laser polycrystallized films increased as Ge concentration increased. It had a maximum of 1 S/cm when Ge concentration was 0.78. This high electrical conductivity would be brought about by the increase of carrier mobility as well as the reduction of the band gap.

Graphene and its derivatives have received considerable attention in industrial and academic research due to their unique, useful properties and applications. The use of graphene is still difficult due to its high cost of production. Hence, graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) have been identified as a substitute for graphene, which are produced in large scale at a very low cost. Moreover, GNPs have played a significant role in various engineering thermoplastic materials [i.e., polyamides (PAs)] to enhance their properties and applications. The GNPs help in the production of low-cost multifunctional nanocomposites with notable useful properties such as high electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and high aspect ratio. The GNPs based nanocomposites have a broad spectrum of application areas including 3D-printing, automotive materials, electrical appliances, low-cost composites films, and many more. This review summarizes different preparation techniques, properties, and applications of GNPs based PAs nanocomposites as reported in current literature.

Oil immersion lenses have been used in optical microscopy for a long time. The light’s wavelength is decreased by the oil’s index of refraction n and this reduces the minimum spot size. Additionally, the oil medium allows a larger collection angle, thereby increasing the numerical aperture. The SIL is based on the same principle, but offers more flexibility because the higher index material is solid. in particular, SILs can be deployed in cryogenic environments. Using a hemispherical glass the spatial resolution is improved by a factor n with respect to the resolution obtained with the microscope’s objective lens alone. The improvement factor is equal to n2 for truncated spheres. As shown in Fig. 1, the hemisphere SIL is in contact with the sample and does not affect the position of the focal plane. The focused rays from the objective strike the lens at normal incidence, so that no refraction takes place.

Abstract CDA C18700 is a copper-base alloy containing lead (nominally 1.0%). The lead is added to impart free-cutting properties to the metal. Although the lead lowers the electrical conductivity of CDA C18700 slightly below that of tough-pitch copper, it still has high electrical conductivity well within the limits needed for most current-carrying requirements. Typical uses comprise electrical motor and switch parts, electrical connectors and screw-machine parts requiring high conductivity. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-533. Producer or source: Copper and copper alloy mills.
