Springs are a source of drinking water and a famous tourist attraction in Jinan, China. In this paper, a multi-index evaluation method was proposed based on a normal cloud model. This model is new graphic model, which could synthetically picture the randomness and fuzziness of concepts. Ten parameters were selected, and water quality was classified into five levels. Three numerical characteristics were calculated, and the weights were assigned by an integrated weighting algorithm. The uncertainty of each spring was calculated by a cloud generator and the integrated certainty grades of water quality were determined. To ensure the accuracy of the normal cloud model, the proposed method was used to assess the water quality of springs in Jinan, China. The results obtained by the proposed method were compared with that of the other four methods. The results obtained by different methods are highly consistent. The proposed cloud model-based method can reflect the water quality level and provides a practical guide for water quality evaluation, as demonstrated in Jinan springs.

In order to evaluate the water quality of Longjiang river comprehensively, diatoms of 15 sampling sites are collected to establish the Grey Relational Model based on three diatom indexesIPS, IBD and IDG. From the Cluster analysis of sampling sites and the box plot of diatom index, IBD is the best, then the IPS, the diatom index weights on water quality assessment are 0.637 for IBD, 0.2583 for IPS, 0.1074 for IDG respectively. Finally, by comparing the water quality standard level based on Grey Relational Model, it can be known that the water quality of most sampling sites is fine except that site No.1 and No.3 belong to III water quality standard. The result shows that it is more comprehensive and reasonable to use the Grey Relational Model based on diatom index rather than individual diatom index to assess water quality.

Wenyu River is the “mother river” in Beijing. In recent years, the research on the water quality of the Wenyu River has increased gradually. In this paper, the monitoring data at Shahe Reservoir, Lu Tuan Gate, Xin Bao Gate, and Ma Fang sections for each month in 2019 were adopted. The single-factor evaluation method and the comprehensive pollution index method were selected to analyze the current situation of the water quality of Wenyu River in the Chang Ping section and its temporal and spatial variation trend. The single factor evaluation method showed that the dissolved oxygen exceeded the standard seriously in all other months of the year except that the situation was better in May, June, and July. The ammonia nitrogen content reached the highest level in January, followed by a month-by-month decreasing trend. After June, each section basically met the requirements of Class v water quality. The comprehensive pollution index method shows that the water quality of Shahe reservoir varies greatly throughout the year, and it is in grade v for 6 months. The evaluation results of both methods show that the water quality of all sections of Wenyu River in 2019 was mostly in category v.

Traditional evaluation methods of the water quality parameters exist more deficiency. Entropy right process and fuzzy mathematics method are combined to establish an improved fuzzy synthetic evaluation method. Total phosphorus (TP)、total nitrogen (TN) and index of permanganate (CODMn) are selected as observed indicators in this paper. According to Mensal measured data of water quality at 5 points from 2008 and 2009 years, based on fuzzy synthetic evaluation method for water quality assessment analysed in Poyang lake. The assessment results showed that Water quality of measure stations in different water seasons changed to take turns: normal water season > flood season > dry season. the pollution`s degree at town`s stations was smaller than counties` stations, at which sample were affected greater by industry and agriculture, and we must pay attention to let contamination in counties.

Eight major pollution indicators are selected, which are nitrate, chloride, sulfate, hardness and other indicators through comprehensive monitoring and analysis of shallow groundwater in Jiaozuo area. Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to determine the water quality level of shallow groundwater. Multiple statistical analysis method is used to take advantage of qualitative and quantitative analysis of pollution sources to identify the main sources of pollution. The results indicate that the shallow groundwater quality is poor and the contaminated area is up to 81.82% in research area. There are three kinds of pollution characteristics of the sources which are the chemical industrial source, mechanical processing source and agricultural source. Their contribution rates to the shallow groundwater pollution of the whole area are 53.81%, 30.34% and 15.85% respectively.

The quality of aquaculture waters is directly related to water management and aquaculture efficiency, which puts forward higher requirements for water quality evaluation. Based on the consideration of the influence of temporal and spatial changes on the water quality, this paper proposed an improved fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for aquaculture water quality evaluation. Specifically, constructing a new membership function in the first place, and then selecting dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature and ammonia nitrogen content as water quality indexes for aquaculture, after that, collecting 60 sets of water quality index for different seasons in the past three years, finally, evaluating the water quality of Yangjiabo Aquaculture Base. Meanwhile, comparing it with the evaluation results of the single factor evaluation method and the traditional fuzzy evaluation method. The results show that the water quality of the Yangjiabo Aquaculture Base is at the worst level in winter, and the water quality has improved significantly in spring, summer and autumn. Compared with the other two method, the improved method can comprehensively reflect the changes in water quality with time and space, which is more practical, and so it can be considered to provide a scientific basis for efficient aquaculture and water quality classification.

The complexity of evaluating the quality of an aquatic environment with its numerous variables has resulted in several quality indexes to synthesize all information in a single value. However, most of these indexes are based on few environmental variables, losing information from other relevant variables. This article presents a new model capable of representing the quality level of a tropical oligo-mesotrophic reservoir on a numerical scale, considering the subjectivity implicit in the concept of quality, and involving several physical, chemical and biological variables. The proposed model, called "Fuzzy Indices for Water Quality Assessment and Biotics" (FUZZY-WBQAI), is based on fuzzy inference systems, providing a way to deal with the uncertainty between the quality categories. A computational tool was developed, which automatically assesses the quality of water, considering different methodologies that depend on the stratification conditions and the longitudinal zone of the reservoir. The model calculates two indices: one for water quality and one biotic that uses metrics from the fish assembly. The model was effective in revealing the decrease in water quality in summer months with higher temperature and precipitation. The effect of the mixture of the stratified reservoir in winter in decreasing the water quality in an area of fish cultivation was highlighted. The biotic index was sensitive to spatial changes in the environmental quality of the reservoir. The results were considered satisfactory, in agreement with the specialized knowledge, and can provide a rapid diagnosis of water conditions in oligo-mesotrophic reservoirs in the tropics.

In 21 century, water quality problem is one of the most serious questions that effected human healthy and social development. In this context, it is necessary to evaluation water quality for drinking water. This is undoubtedly of great significance to human health and social stability. Based on the water monitoring and field surveys, this manuscript applied with “one-vote negation” method and eutrophic index evaluation method for two important urban drinking water resources in Beibei district, Chongqing. These two method were mainly depend on single water quality index which was indicated the worst one. And the results shower that: (1) evaluation by “one-vote negation” method, water quality of water resource D was satisfied with grade Ⅲ, and centralized water supply of J was meet with grade Ⅱ. (2)Eutrophication assessment on all water points indicate that the evaluation results of water quality is acceptable.
