The VANET (Vehicle Ad Hoc Network) is gathering attention for autonomous vehicles and the MANET (Mobile Ad Hoc Network) is attracting interest as well. Therefore, efforts have been made to overcome the challenges of the VANET in which the topology changes in real time and instability exists due to the difference in speed and physical phase. Particularly in the IoT era, the total amount of network nodes in addition to vehicle nodes is expected to increase dramatically. Therefore, a clustering algorithm for a mesh network capable of autonomous configuration is suitable for reducing the load of the central control device and data redundancy on the network, which is expected to increase as the IoT era progresses. However, since clustering algorithms based on the existing research have been developed for the current traffic situation, inefficiency is inevitable in the future autonomous navigation period in which traveling path prediction can be accurately performed. Therefore, this paper discusses a clustering algorithm and a data propagation algorithm between clusters using path information. The main content of this paper is as follows. First, we propose a clustering algorithm using path information and considering the existing research results. In the autonomous navigation period, if the path is predictable, the probability that the nodes in the same cluster are in the same block for a longer time than the conventional one can converge to 100%. Therefore, the survival time of the cluster can be dramatically improved. Second, we developed a data propagation algorithm that can increase the information propagation rate of the entire network using path information. The cluster temporarily stores the data to be disseminated and then disseminates it when it encounters another cluster of neighbors. Therefore, data can be disseminated even for noncontiguous clusters. To summarize, this paper proposes clustering-based data dissemination algorithms and protocols using vehicle pathways for autonomous navigation and compares them with clustering-based data dissemination algorithms using existing directions.

In order to tackle the data transmission bottlenecks of the gateway node in clustering Ad hoc Networks, the paper proposes a communication method. Firstly, DMAC (Distributed and Mobility-Adaptive Clustering) algorithm and Omni-directional antenna is well introduced and discussed. Then the ICMMDA (The Inter-cluster Communication Method based on Directional Antennas) policy building virtual channels between two hops away cluster-head and using directional antenna is brought about. Lastly, the simulation shows that the method can reduce the end-to-end delay between two clusters and improve the network throughput.

Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) is a sub-family of Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET).The means goal of VANET is to provide communications between nearby nodes or between nodes and fixed infrastructure. Despite that VANET is considered as a subclass of MANET, it has for particularity the high mobility of vehicles producing the frequent changes of network topology that involve changing of road, varying node density and locations of vehicles existing in this road. That‘s why, the most proposed clustering algorithms for MANET are unsuitable for VANET. Various searches have been recently published deal with clustering for VANETs. But most of them are focused on minimizing network overhead value, number of created clusters and had not considered the vehicles interests which defined as any related data used to differentiate vehicle from another (such as traffic congestion, looking for free parking space etc). In this paper, we propose a novel clustering algorithm based on agent technology to solve the problems mentioned above and improve routing in VANET. Experimental part show promising results regarding the adoption of the proposed approach.

Disaster management is management of tasks involving responses to emergencies and methods of devising recovery strategies from havocs caused by nature. It assumes paramount importance now as the human surrounding has enormously become unpredictable owing to natural or man-made disasters. Consequence of disaster can be reduced by broadcasting of disaster alert to a defined radius that could be affected by the disaster. The objective of disaster management is to ensure energy economical and reliable communication that is resilient to network topology changes within the area. Vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) is efficiently utilized to transfer the disaster alert information. Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communication is used for disseminating the disaster alert message. This study proposes an effective data acquisition from the disaster location, data dissemination to the neighbouring zones and disaster management using VANET technology.
