In this paper, we construct a new variant of the classical Szász–Mirakyan operators, Mn, which fixes the functions 1 and eax,x≥0,a∈R. For these operators, we provide a quantitative Voronovskaya-type result. The uniform weighted convergence of Mn and a direct quantitative estimate are obtained. The symmetry of the properties of the classical Szász–Mirakyan operator and of the properties of the new sequence is investigated. Our results improve and extend similar ones on this topic, established in the last decade by many authors.

The aim of this work is to consider bicomplex Bernstein polynomials attached to analytic functions on a compact C2-disk and to present some approximation properties extending known approximation results for the complex Bernstein polynomials. Furthermore, we obtain and present quantitative estimate inequalities and the Voronovskaja-type result for analytic functions by bicomplex Bernstein polynomials.

An understanding of the specific interactions of actin with regulatory proteins has been limited by the lack of information about the structure of the actin filament. Molecular actin has been studied in actin-DNase I complexes by single crystal X-ray analysis, to a resolution of about 0.6nm, and in the electron microscope where two dimensional actin sheets have been reconstructed to a maximum resolution of 1.5nm. While these studies have shown something of the structure of individual actin molecules, essential information about the orientation of actin in the filament is still unavailable. The work of Egelman & DeRosier has, however, suggested a method which could be used to provide an initial quantitative estimate of the orientation of actin within the filament. This method involves the quantitative comparison of computed diffraction data from single actin filaments with diffraction data derived from synthetic filaments constructed using the molecular model of actin as a building block. Their preliminary work was conducted using a model consisting of two juxtaposed spheres of equal size.

Abstract. In this article, a modified variant of the Affective Simon Task (AST; De Houwer & Eelen, 1998 ) is presented as a measure of implicit evaluations of single stimuli. In the AST, the words “good” or “bad” have to be given as responses depending on the color of the stimuli. The AST was combined with an evaluation task to increase the salience of the valence of the presented stimuli. Experiment 1 investigated evaluations of schematic faces showing emotional expressions. In Experiment 2 we measured the valence of artificial stimuli that acquired valence in a game context during the experiment. Both experiments confirm the validity of the modified AST. The results also revealed a dissociation between explicit and implicit evaluations.

The paper deals with development of a general theory of the firm. It discusses the demand for such a theory, reviews existing approaches to its generalization, and offers a new variant of general theory of the firm based on the contract theory. The theory is based on minimization of opportunistic behaviour determined by the material structure of production (a classification of ten structural factors is offered). This framework is applied to the analysis of three boundaries problems (boundaries of the job, boundaries of the unit, boundaries of the firm) and five integration dilemmas (vertical, horizontal, functional, related, and conglomerate).

The purpose of the research: system retrofit of suborder Schistosomatidа in reliance on their morfo-biological distinctions. Materials and methods. Samples of adult and 5 species of larvas have been collected and tested: Schistosoma turkestanicum Skryabin, 1913, Bilharziella polonica (Kowalewsky, 1899), Trichobilharzia ocellata (La Valette, 1854), Dendritobilharzia loossi Skryabin, 1924 and Gigantobilharzia acotylea Odhner, 1910. Adult phases of trematode have been identified in accordance to common methods. Identification of cercaria larva produced by water living shell-fish (Lymnaeidae, Planorbidae, Physidae, Melanoididae) has been carried out according to indicators. Current system of trematode suborder Schistosomatidа - vertebrate animals and man parasites are analyzed. Results and discussion. New variant of system of trematode suborder Schistosomatidа order is proposed. Schistosomatida morfo-biological distinctions and biocycles are taken as a basis. Two families are distinguished in this suborder: Schistosomatidae and Bilharziellidae, which represent parasites of warm-blooded vertebrate animals. There are two families of Sanguinicolidae and Spirorchiidae in suborder Sanguinicolida, which consist of fish and reptile parasites respectively. For Schistosomatida order the new underclass Schistosomatidea is founded. Sanguinicolida order is left as the part of Digenea underclass consisting of androgynous fluke.

Goal. Assess the reliability of a complex technical system with periodic reconfiguration and compare the results obtained a similar system, but without reconfiguration. Materials and methods. In this article uses the method of statistical modeling (Monte Carlo) to assess the reliability of complex system. We using the normal and exponential distribution of failure time for modeling failures of system elements. Reconfiguration algorithm is the algorithm proposed for the attitude and orbit control system of spacecraft. Results. A computer program has been developed for assessing reliability on the basis of a statistical modeling method, which makes it possible to evaluate systems of varying complexity with exponential and normal distribution, as well as with and without periodic reconfiguration. A quantitative estimate of the reliability as a function of the probability of system failure is obtained. Conclusion. It has been demonstrated that a system with reconfiguration has the best reliability characteristics, both in the case of exponential and normal distribution of failures.
