The development of scientific and technological progress in architecture gave the rise to a new phenomenon – the bionic architecture. Bionic architecture is based on already established methods of design in the framework of the "green standards"; it contributes to the improvement of the ecological balance of the environment and preservation of natural resources. The use of new technologies of construction, fabrication, design, alternative energy sources allowed to create this innovative style, which is essentially a branch of the ecological approach. The article reveals main achievements in the field of application of technical devices to increase the efficiency of resource use in architectural objects and their impact on morphogenesis.

Interest in wood-based bioenergy and pelletization is growing in Ontario, and the province is taking steps to encouragethese new technologies. A survey of eastern Ontario sawmills was conducted to assess residue production and availabilityfor bioenergy and pellet applications. Approximately 259 000 oven dry tonnes of sawmill residues are produced annuallyin eastern Ontario, but most of this fibre is absorbed by existing markets and would not be available for bioenergy orpellet initiatives. However, another source of wood fibre exists that is both abundant and unutilized: traditional pulpwood. While establishment costs of bioenergy and pellet facilities are high, pulpwood is locally available in large quantities.Given the right incentives, bioenergy and pelletization could provide alternative energy sources and support the forestindustry and rural economy. Key words: sawmill residue, wood biomass, bioenergy, pellets, eastern Ontario

The article deals with the problems of the ecological system in Russia and the directions of their solution on the basis of economic and social development programs. Consumer attitudes of people to the environment is the main cause of the deterioration of its condition, which leads to a decrease in stocks of non-renewable natural resources. In addition, it threatens the existence of humanity. The environmental problems of our time require not only the introduction of resource-saving technologies in all sectors of production, the use of alternative energy sources, but also ensuring the restoration of the already damaged ecosystem resilience and their preservation in the future.

Nowadays, the energy crisis, climate change and greenhouse effect have created a strong demand for the development of alternative energy sources. Researchers have made an attempt to produce biobutanol from various second-generation feedstocks with new microbial strains and new technologies. This paper presents the recent progress on efficient butanol production using various biomass sources and "designed" microorganisms. The advances in the butanol fermentation process, such as the use of numerous waste materials, improved strains and co-cultivation of mixed microbial populations are of particular interest in this review.

Problem setting. Transformation of social relations, as well as the state of the natural environment necessitate the study of the origins of development and the formation of Ukrainian legislation in this area. Rapid rates of man-made load, depletion of natural resources, impossibility (or slow) recovery of natural resources - all these are factors that encourage rapid further steps towards innovative solutions to the use and protection of the environment. Alternative energy sources, the so-called renewable energy sources, are becoming increasingly popular due to their potential and environmental and economic characteristics of use. The object of the origins of the development of legal relations on the use and protection of the environment in the field of innovation. The subject of the study is the historical aspects of the regulation of legal relations on the use and protection of the environment in the field of innovation. The state of research of the problem. The origins of scientific research on the relationship between the use and protection of the environment have repeatedly attracted the attention of researchers. In particular, in this area there were publications of legal scholars: A.P. Hetman, H.V. Anisimova, V.L. Bredikhina, M.V. Krasnova, Y.S. Shemshuchenko, N.R. Malysheva, G.N. Polyanskaya, V.G. Emelyanova, V.V. Nosik and others. However, the study that would be aimed at analyzing the normative regulation of legal relations on the use and protection of the environment in the field of innovation has not yet been, which prompted us to choose this topic of research. The target of this research is to identify and analyze the origins of legislation and scientific achievements in this area. Scientific novelty is the search for and further development of an effective mechanism for regulating the legal relationship between the use and protection of the environment in the field of innovation. Article’s main body. The historical continuity and recurrence of the main legal forms, as emphasized in the literature, make it possible to predict the direction of further development of legislation taking into account the maximum use of valuable historical experience, on the one hand, and avoid future use of legal forms that have failed. Conclusions. Today we can conclude that nature management is irrational, leads to depletion (or disappearance) of natural resources, there is a violation of the ecological balance of natural systems - as a result of rising Earth temperature, destruction of ecosystems, deteriorating human health. Rapid population growth has been observed with great progress, and industrial development has contributed to the increase in energy consumption and the use of non-renewable energy resources, the mass consumption of which has had negative consequences for the environment. Unlike countries with more developed economies, Ukraine is only at the beginning of its path of saving the environment, but instead continues to operate an extensive type of economic development. Natural resources are not used efficiently enough, and if we do not take decisive action, we can already have irreversible consequences. The answer to this should be alternative energy sources - renewable, resource-saving, waste-free (low-waste).

Global climate fluctuations and projections of deteriorating sustainable human development since the beginning of the 21st century have highlighted the need to look for alternative energy sources to carbon fuels. The utilization of solar and wind energy has become a challenge for engineers and technologists to develop new technologies for more efficient development of renewable energy sources. The purpose of this paper is to present the territorial features in the utilization of renewable energy sources – solar radiation and wind in Bulgaria. The study focuses on the regional features of the solar- and wind energy potential. Based on statistical data, the utilization of the RES potential is considered through a review of the installed capacities

Subject Global silver market dynamics. Significance The price of most commodities has risen since 2015 but not that of silver. Indeed, the price has barely changed in two years and has fallen nearly 3% this year. Investor interest in exchange traded products (ETPs) in 2016 was not sustained in 2017 but while low volatility discouraged investors, manufacturing demand rose. Strong demand from the solar panel industry is surprising sceptics. Impacts After two years of unusually strong zinc prices, large projects will come online, increasing the amount of silver mined as a by-product. US tariffs on imported solar cells will boost demand for alternative energy sources, eventually hurting silver consumption. The largest silver exchange, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, will offer option trading in smaller amounts, matching traders’ preferences. Increased silver use in light karat gold jewellery in India and China will support demand for the metal.
