The article presents the concept of an integrated rail transport system in Radom, based on classical and dual-system trams, taking into account the role of regional rail in servicing urban and agglomeration transport. The development of the concept of the tram network in Radom was presented and then the analysis of the conditions for the development of urban rail transport was made. The article is a synthetic description of the author's version of the city transport service model, with an emphasis on the integration of various transport modes, as well as technical, operational and organizational aspects essential in planning the connection of the tram and railway layout in Polish conditions.

As the major distributing center and intermediate transit point, the scale of transfer station in urban rail transit system directly affects the operational efficiency and overall cost of the entire system. So, accurately controlling the scale of transfer station becomes one of the most important aspects in improving service level and reducing the overall project cost. On the basis of summarizing the method on determining the scale of transfer station both home and abroad, the paper describes the role of the various facilities in rail transfer station, and illustrates the problems of our rail transfer station. Following the above discussion and investigation, the sizes of typical transfer station facilities are discussed and improved (e.g. vertical elevator). Taking the Longjiang Street station example, the proposed methods and models are verified and the analysis result shows that this transfer station should be cross platform interchange mode.

Based on the impact analysis of common rail transportation on urban rail transit and comprehensive consideration of Hohhot, including passenger flow characteristic analysis and related product design principle, this paper studies the impact of common rail transport system on the urban rail transit and describes the product design of common rail transport system of Hohhot in two aspects: common rail train stop plan and the nature of the passenger flow, which is dedicated to provide relevant theoretical basis for the rail transit planning and construction of Hohhot in the future. Key words: the integration of urban rail transit; common rail transport; product design; Hohhot

In this paper, an introduction is provided to some of the components of China's transport system. The authors include the urban rail transit systems, the highway transport systems and its competition for China's railways and the reform of China's railway industry. This is the second of two papers on the situation of rail transport in China.

Because there are some differences in operation management body and investment body between city railway/suburban railway and other modes of transportation of urban rail transit, reasonable coordination and effective connection cant achieve in various modes of transportation of urban rail transit, resulting in not only wasting national limited traffic resource, but also bringing so much inconvenience to the traveling passengers. Under this background, the author proposes the alternative use mode of building integrative urban passenger rail transit system and their definitions. Then, the bi-level programming model of the integrative passenger rail transit line station layout based on the alternative use mode is established. Whats more, the simulated annealing algorithm is used to solve it. Finally, a numerical example shows that the pattern of multi-point stopping under alternative use mode is beneficial to reduce total consumption of passenger agglomeration and shorten the passenger traveling time, at the same time it is more beneficial to ease the urban traffic pressure (especially the city ground traffic).

With the vigorous development of urban rail transit system, especially the construction of subway system, the safety of subway system draws more and more attention. The study of anti-seismic for underground structures has also become an important problem to be solved in the construction of Metro system. Based on the typical underground structure seismic damage phenomenon, this paper summarizes the seismic characteristics, research methods and design methods of underground structures to offer a guide for engineers.
