The paper focuses on the identification and specification of the Y and Z Generation online consumer behaviour and analysis of factors affecting the frequency of online shopping young Slovak consumers. The aim of this paper is to identify the factors affecting the frequency of online shopping of Millennials and Post-Millennials consumers. Within this issue, the attention is focused on the impact of individual characteristics of respondents, their online consumer attributes; their attitudes towards online shopping; financial risk perception; the impact and perception of promotion on their purchasing decisions; perception of the importance of guaranteeing risk-free online shopping; product range offer; and individual characteristics of an e-shops. The results of the research of general consumer attributes revealed statistically significant intergenerational and intergeneric differences. Purpose With India becoming world’s second largest user of smartphones (Ming, 2017) and with more users adopting mobile devices for online shopping, Indian online retailers now have to manage mobile channel in addition to existing traditional channel (of computers). Hence, the purpose of this study is to investigate the mapping of product characteristics with individual channel capabilities and its effect on online consumer behaviour, so that e-tailers can create enhanced online shopping experience for consumers. Design/methodology/approach A comprehensive research model is developed on the basis of the knowledge gained from multichannel retailing and e-commerce literature. Then, the model is empirically tested, with primary data collected from 344 customers, using structural equation modelling. The data are collected from customers across two product categories: electronics and fashion. Findings The results reveal that perceived usefulness, perceived risk and perceived self-efficacy are important drivers of online consumer behaviour for continued usage. The multi-group analysis confirms the moderation influence of platform type for some relationships across electronics and fashion. Practical implications The findings underline the importance of multichannel complementarity across electronics and fashion. The preference of mobile devices for fashion and traditional devices such as computers for electronics provides valuable insights for online retailers towards management of multichannel e-commerce ecosystem. Originality/value In Indian context, this is the first empirical research on online multichannel retail setting, studying the impact of diverse channel formats on different product categories. The study’s findings give empirical basis to online retailers to look out for right product–channel fit strategy for engaging consumers in the long run.

In this chapter, factors related to online and social media shopping and the benefits of using social media will be discussed. Instagram application, tendency of using brand name, online consumer behaviour, and Thai consumer behaviour towards the use of social media will also be illustrated to review what the key factors important in online shopping mentioned in previous research are.

This study aims to determine the effect of trust, comfort, and security on purchasing decisions at Shopee. With the development of an online shopping system that uses the internet, people are now following developments by having a mindset of consumer behaviour from conventional shopping to shopping digitally and online. Consumer confidence in online shopping through the system is very concerned about avoiding things that are not desirable. Therefore, it is necessary to ease of use of the system and strict security to conduct transactions online. The sample in this study were 200 respondents who were Shopee application users, both men and women aged 19-27 years. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis techniques through the analysis tool IBM SPSS statistic version 26. This study indicates that the variables of trust, security, and convenience affect purchasing decisions. The Shopee application is expected to further improve the quality of service through what consumers feel through reviews about the Shopee application in terms of the trust, convenience, and security or other things if it is deemed unsatisfactory. This study recommends marketers to maintain customer loyalty. The Shopee application must also maintain the ease of use of the application, such as the development of the latest features that are more attractive and practical to make it easier for consumers to search for products until they decide to make transactions.

<p><b>In today’s extremely competitive retail marketplace environment, developing and managing profitable private label offerings has become significant for most retailing companies. The purpose of this paper is to understand the influence of e-tailer reputation, product manufacturing country favourability, and online consumer rating on the purchase likelihood of e-tailer private labels. We find that product online consumer ratings positively impact the purchase intention of the private labels. E-tailer reputation has shown a positive impact on the future purchase intentions whereas, country favourability’s effect is found at the time of actual purchase of e-tailer private labels. Being the first research to study the impact of country favourability, e-tailer reputation on e-tailer private labels, this paper offers some insights to the e-tailers. </b></p>

Online shopping is an emerging trend throughout the world. Likewise, it is used in China among Chinese consumers, but not all foreigners use it frequently due to several factors. This study discussed those factors which cause hindrance for foreigners to use online shopping and their behavior towards it. To do so, the authors have proposed the model by extending the technology acceptance model (TAM). The data were collected from the international students in China through a survey questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS to draw the results of the proposed relationships. The findings show that the online shopping behavior of international students in China is negatively related to financial risk and positively related to trust and ease of use. Moreover, purchase intention mediates these relationships. The results will be useful for consumers and online sellers to retain existing consumers and attract more foreigners studying in China. Moreover, the paper mentioned the implications and future directions of the study.

Netnography is a specialized form of ethnographic research that has been adapted to the unique contingencies of various types of computer-mediated social interaction. With the tremendous growth in the number of Internet users in India, the potential of utilizing netnography to study various aspects of management and business has also increased. Several e-Commerce companies have started operating in India since 2007. Over time, the number of online consumers has also increased in India. Therefore it is important to know the online consumer behaviour towards e-Commerce companies operating in India. Keeping the above facts in view, this chapter proposes Netnogrpahy as an effective research method to assess online consumer behavior. The chapter not only helps in providing future agenda for research, but also presents a framework that may be adopted to carry out Netnogrpahy of e-commerce related websites in India.
