Methods This research involved 600 respondents in Medan, Indonesia. The primary data were obtained from the questionnaire. Data analyses were performed by using the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) method. 3. Results and findings The test results show that at 5% of alpha, the financial behavior, which consists of investment behavior, debt behavior, and spending behavior, is able to mediate the effects of gender, age, level of education, income, and neuroticism traits on financial satisfaction. Entrepreneurial intention plays a decisive role in the process of becoming an entrepreneur. It is not only the prerequisite for establishing a business but it also influences an individual’s behavior. This study aims to investigate the impact of three key personality traits of a prospective entrepreneur (entrepreneurial passion, creativity, and self-efficacy) in shaping their entrepreneurial intention. It is proposed that entrepreneurial passion, creativity, and self-efficacy positively influence entrepreneurial intention. Primary data were collected from 408 Chartered Accountancy (CA) students of the National Capital Region (NCR) of India with the help of a structured questionnaire. The cluster sampling method was used to select the sample from the targeted population. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results establish that the entrepreneurial intention of CA students is significantly influenced by their creativity, entrepreneurial passion, and self-efficacy, as all three traits allow an entrepreneur to identify opportunities with profit potential. A student who is passionate, creative, and confident in exploiting the new business idea will develop an intention to become an entrepreneur. The present study contributes to the literature by investigating the entrepreneurial intention of CA students, which has not been explored earlier. The significance of this study facilitates academicians and accounting organizations to focus on the personality traits of students, which helps in developing entrepreneurial intention in them.

PurposeEntrepreneurship is a vital source of job creation and a key driver in promoting economic growth. The Malaysian government encourages higher educational institutions (HEIs) to develop more competitive and innovative graduates for the economy so that Malaysia achieves high-income nation status by 2025. This study aims to investigate the mediating role of attitude toward entrepreneurship (ATE) in the relationship between key psychological factors, that is, subjective norm (SN), perceived behavior control (PBC), big-five (BF) personality traits, entrepreneurial motivation (EM) and educational factors (EFs) with entrepreneurial intention (EI) among Malaysian university students.Design/methodology/approachThis study used a quantitative design based on a positivist approach. The adopted questionnaire was used as the survey instrument. The primary data were collected from a sample of 251 final-year students in the management field who were enrolled in research-intensive Malaysian universities. Data were analyzed through the structural equation modeling (SEM) technique using AMOS 24 software.FindingsFindings confirmed that the BF personality traits, EM, PBC, SN, ATE and EFs were positively related to EI. Furthermore, ATE mediated the relationship between BF personality traits, EM, PBC, SN, EF, and EI among Malaysian university students.Research limitations/implicationsThis research provides critical insights into the key antecedents, for example, psychological and EFs, in explaining the EI of university students and future graduates. However, results can only be generalized to research-intensive Malaysian universities.Originality/valueThis study investigated the relationship between psychological factors, that is, BF personality traits, EM, PBC, SN and EFs in predicting EI of Malaysian university students. ATE mediated the relationship between BF personality traits, EM, PBC, SN, EF and EI among these students.

Research aims: This study aims to determine and analyze the level of financial behavior, the level of Muhammadiyah community’s Islamic financial literacy in Medan City, and the effect of Islamic financial literacy on financial behavior.Design/Methodology/Approach: This research is descriptive quantitative using primary data through questionnaire. The research sample was 200 members of the Muhammadiyah organization in Medan City. The data analysis technique employed confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling utilizing AMOS.Research findings: The research confirmed that the level of Islamic financial knowledge among the Muhammadiyah community in Medan City was low, 60.56%. In contrast to Islamic finance knowledge, the financial behavior of the Muhammadiyah community in Medan City was classified as good; 69.01% of the Muhammadiyah community showed relatively good financial behavior. These two things make the level of Islamic financial literacy among Muhammadiyah residents in Medan City classified as less literate. This shows that in everyday life, Muhammadiyah community in Medan City had good financial behavior but was more influenced by habits or finance. Meanwhile, as far as Sharia finance was concerned, the Muhammadiyah community in Medan City still did not understand it.Theoretical contribution/Originality: This study provides information about the level of financial literacy and financial behavior of the Muhammadiyah community in Medan. This information becomes the basis for subsequent research to develop strategies to increase financial literacy and financial behavior of Muhammadiyah communities in Medan.Practitioner/Policy implication: Since Muhammadiyah aims to improve the welfare of the people and various studies have shown a link between the level of financial literacy and one's welfare, Muhammadiyah organizers need to pay attention to this, such as organizing a more structured and systematic program to increase Muhammadiyah citizens' knowledge of Islamic finance.Research limitation/Implication: This study still used a limited sample, namely Muhammadiyah communities. A broader sample will further confirm the validity of the literacy measurement instrument in the future.

This study investigates the main reasons behind the purchase of Aramco shares. It examines whether the following financial variables: financial literacy, financial self-efficacy, financial behavior and financial perceived value influence the attitude towards Saudi Aramco's IPO. Other variables dealing with environmental concerns and patriotism perception were added to this analysis, making it one of the pioneer studies in this field. A primary data collection through a survey questionnaire and structural equation modeling (SPSS-AMOS-26) were followed to study our research hypotheses. Our findings highlight a significant relationship between patriotism level, environmental concerns and attitude towards Saudi Aramco's IPO, which may encourage financial institutions to slot this investors’ psychosocial side in their marketing strategy, making environment sustainability a part of their corporate identity. Our study will also open the way for further investigation on the role played by these variables on financial decision making and to what extend a financial organization can use them to enhance its performance and gain investors’ attention.
