Abstract. Four experiments were conducted investigating the effect of size congruency on facial recognition memory, measured by remember, know and guess responses. Different study times were employed, that is extremely short (300 and 700 ms), short (1,000 ms), and long times (5,000 ms). With the short study time (1,000 ms) size congruency occurred in knowing. With the long study time the effect of size congruency occurred in remembering. These results support the distinctiveness/fluency account of remembering and knowing as well as the memory systems account, since the size congruency effect that occurred in knowing under conditions that facilitated perceptual fluency also occurred independently in remembering under conditions that facilitated elaborative encoding. They do not support the idea that remember and know responses reflect differences in trace strength.

The article describes the use of BYOD technology (Bring Your Own Device) in educational practice using the Lecture Racing mobile application. This application provides feedback between the teacher and students both in the classroom and during distance learning, contributes to the visualization of educational material and, in general, the informatization of the educational process. The purpose of the study is to conduct a theoretical analysis of the current state and prospects for the development of BYOD technology in Russia and abroad, and to test the benefits of using this technology in educational practice using the specific mobile application. During the study, an analysis of scientific, theoretical and practical literature on BYOD technology was carried out. In the process of experimental work, test tasks were the instrument of measuring knowledge and skills of students. As a result of a theoretical analysis and study of the practical possibilities of using BYOD technology (using the Lecture Racing mobile application as an example), it was found that this technology allows you to visualize information that is displayed in real time on the screen of each student's mobile device, regardless of its location. This technology also allows both the student and the teacher to quickly work with information, provide feedback, receive an independent assessment (since the assessment is set automatically), saves time, and develops the information culture of students.

Technology in education is a primary need for every individual. The learning process in school was not spared from technology. So that teachers and learners need to understand and proficient in using technology, both during the learning process and in everyday life. So far, literacy skills in Indonesia is still very low. This is indicated by PISA data, in 2009 Indonesian students are ranked 57th with a score of 295 (The average score on OECD is 402), while in 2012 Indonesian students are ranked 64th with a score of 396 (The average score on OECD is 496). The Ministry of Education and Culture developed Gerakan Literasi Sekolah to support the need for the above problems. Based on these problems, this study aims to determine the extent of students' technological literacy profiles in the city of Bandung. The method used is giving questionnaires to students. With this research is expected to increase the ability of technology literacy in learning to support the needs of science in the future

The current overproduction of images of faces in digital photographs and videos, and the widespread use of facial recognition technologies have important effects on the way we understand ourselves and others. This is because facial recognition technologies create new circulation pathways of images that transform portraits and photographs into material for potential personal identification. In other words, different types of images of faces become available to the scrutiny of facial recognition technologies. In these new circulation pathways, images are continually shared between many different actors who use (or abuse) them for different purposes. Besides this distribution of images, the categorization practices involved in the development and use of facial recognition systems reinvigorate physiognomic assumptions and judgments (e.g., about beauty, race, dangerousness). They constitute the framework through which faces are interpreted. This paper shows that, because of this procedure, facial recognition technologies introduce new and far-reaching »facialization« processes, which reiterate old discriminatory practices.

Technology in education is a global phenomenon affecting learners of all ages. The breadth and variety of available tools make it difficult to implement a standardized method for assessing the impact of technology on learning. The lack of a consensus on good and bad practices results in inconsistent application and mixed learning results.   This article takes a look at the adaptation of technology to education and examines the various tools used to enhance learning. We discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using technology, as well as review methodologies for evaluating the impact.   The essay concludes by identifying several problems with the way technology is evaluated and offers suggestions for further research to address those problems.
