Penelitian berujuan untuk menganalisis struktur lamun di tiga area intertidal yaitu Pantai Karurung (Desa Salurang), Pantai Palareng (Desa Palareng), dan Pantai Galogong (Desa Batuwingkung), Kecamatan Tabukan Selatan, Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe, Sulawesi Utara. Metode purposive sampling digunakan dalam penentuan tempat sampling dengan pengambilan sampel yang menggunakan metode line transect. Jenis-jenis lamun yang ditemukan sebanyak tujuh (7) jenis yaitu Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Enhalus  acoroides, Halodule uninervis, Halophila ovalis, Syringodium isoetifolium, dan Thalassodendron ciliatum. Lamun S. isoetifolium memiliki nilai Kepadatan Relatif tertinggi di ketiga stasiun berturut-turut, yaitu 48,60%, 43,31%, dan 44,08%. Secara berturut-turut, lamun S. isoetifolium juga memiliki Indeks Nilai Penting tertinggi di ketiga stasiun, yaitu 74,92%, 65,31%, dan 70,75%. Keanekaragaman jenis lamun pada ketiga stasiun tergolong sedang dengan Indeks Keanakeragaman Shannon-Wiener (H’) secara berturut-turut, yaitu 1,52; 1,61; dan 1,23. Secara keseluruhan, keanekaragaman jenis lamun di Kecamatan Tabukan Selatan tergolong sedang (H’:1,59). The study was carried out to analyze structure and distribution of seagrass on three intertidal areas, i.e. Karurung Beach (Salurang Village), Palareng Beach (Palareng Village), and Galogong Beach (Batuwingkung Village), South Tabukan District, Sangihe Islands Regency, North Sulawesi. The purposive sampling method was applied in choosing sampling locations. The line transect method was used for sampling seagrass. Seagrass species found were seven (7) species, i.e. Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Enhalus acoroides, Halodule uninervis, Halophila ovalis, Syringodium isoetifolium, and Thalassodendron ciliatum. Seagrass S. isoetifolium had the highest Relative Density Value in three locations, i.e. 48.60%, 43.31%, and 44.08% perspectively. The seagrass S. isoetifolium also had the highest Important Value Index i.e. 74.92%, 65.31%, and 70.75% perspectively. The diversity of seagrass species in three stations was classified into moderate with Shannon-Wiener Biodiversity Index (H ') i.e. 1.52; 1.61; and 1.23 perspectively. The overall H’ of seagrass of South Tabukan was classified into moderate (H ': 1.59). This study was conducted in Marine Field Station of Faculty of Fisheries and Science of Sam Ratulangi University, Sub-district of East Likupang, North Minahasa. This study aims to identified the seagrasses in the water of Marine Field Station. The benefits of this study are for the database of seagrasses ecosystem management and comparative for other studies. The Observation and data collection was using random survey technic by analyzed the areas to collecting all the seagrass species found. Furthermore, the seagrass samples were categorised into each species. The result showed the amount of seagrass species in Marine Field Station are 8 species from 6 genera and 2 families: Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Halodule uninervis, Syringodium isoetifolium, Thalassia hemprichii, Enhalus acoroides,  Halophila ovalis, dan Halophila minor.Keyword: Inventory, Seagrass, Marine Field Station ABSTRAKPenelitian dilakukan di perairan Marine Field Station Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Unsrat Kecamatan Likupang Timur Kabupatan Minahasa  Utara. Tujuan penelitian  untuk mengidentifikasi lamun yang ada di Perairan Marine Field station. Manfaat penelitian dapat menjadi data pengelolaan ekosistem padang lamun dan dapat menjadi perbandingan untuk penelitian-penelitian selanjutnya. Pengamatan dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik survei jelajah, yaitu dengan menjelajahi wilayah pengamatan sambil mencari semua spesies lamun. Lamun yang diambil adalah semua jenis yang ditemui. Selanjutnya, sampel lamun dikelompokan berdasarkan spesies. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan jumlah spesies lamun pada lokasi penelitian di Perairan Marine Field Station adalah 8 spesies dari 6 genera dan 2 famili yaitu, Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Halodule uninervis, Syringodium isoetifolium, Thalassia hemprichii, Enhalus acoroides,  Halophila ovalis, dan Halophila minor. Kata kunci: Inventarisasi, Lamun, Marine Field Station

Research on the structure of seagrass communities in the waters of the island Mantehage was conducted in September 2010. The purpose of this study is to collect data and information on the structure of seagrass communities. Observations includes the identification seagrass species, measuring the number of individual/stand, cover percentage of each type/species on the transect. 6 types of seagrass found, i.e. Enhalus acoroides, Halophila ovalis, Thalassia hemprichii, Thalassodendron ciliatum, Cymodocea rotundata and Syringodium isoetifolium. Seagrass species composition and distribution varies at each location and is dominated by the presence of Thalassia hemprichii (48.14%) with coverage percentage ranges between 15.91% to 35.11%. Diversity index values ranged from 0.79 to 1.69 ; evenness index between 0.57 to 0.94 and the index of dominance between 0.20 to 0.56. In conclusion, the condition of seagrass meadows in Mantehage island is relatively good and can support marine life adequately.Keywords : Structure communities, seagrass, Mantehage Island

Dugong dugon is a herbivorous marine mammal. One of Dugong's favorite foods is seagrass. This study examines the distribution of seagrass species to dugong sighting in Liki Island. The study was conducted in November 2018. Observation of seagrass conditions was carried out using a line transect method and a 50x50 cm transect with a distance interval between 10 m plots. Interviews were also conducted with the community to find out the location of Dugong presence in Liki Island. There are seven species of seagrass found in Liki Island :Enhalus acoroides, Cymodocea rotundata, Thalassia hemprichii, Halophila ovalis, Halodule uninervis, Halodule pnifolia and Syringodium isoetifolium spread over four observation stations. The results showed that  Dugong in Liki Island is often found during the eastern season, they often appear in seagrass ecosystem area to do eating activities. Dugong is often found in the eastern part of Liki Island (Station 4) and sometimes also found in the western part of Liki Island (Station 3).Keywords:biodiversity,Dugong dugon, liki, papua, seagrass

This research was carried out in the coastal waters of Ratatotok Village with the purpose of: 1. Knowing the condition of  aquatic environment at research location. 2. Identify seagrass species from Ratatotok waters. 3. To determine the composition of seagrass species which included: Species Density, Relative Density, Abundance, Relative Abundance, Domination, Relative Domination, Frequency, Relative Frequency and Important Values. 7 species from of 2 families  were found in this research  i.e. Cymodoceaceae (Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Syringodium isoetifolium, and Halodule uninervis) and Hydrocharitaceae (Enhalus acoroides, Halophila ovalis and Thalassia hemprichii). The number of seagrass stands in the research were ranged from 26-2699 individuals. Species density were found to range from to 9.51 to 987.06 / m².  Relative density were varied from 0.72 to 75.08%. Frequency of occurence were also varied from to 0.69 to 8.46. Relative frequency were ranged  from to 2,68-33.04%. Abundance were found to range from to 10.08-1046.88. Relative abundance were varied  from 0.72-75.08%. The dominance were range from to 28.89-2998.89 and relative dominance from to 0.72-75.08%. The important value of seagrass in the Ratatotok waters showed that Syringodium isoetifolium had important value reaching to 183.20 %. important values of Cymodocea rotundata and Thalassia hemprichii were 41.93 % and 26.68 % respectively .In addition,  these two species were  consisted of  relatively large individual size compared to other species.Keywords : Ratatotok, Seagrass, Important ValuesABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan di Perairan Pantai Desa Ratatotok dengan tujuan untuk: 1. Mengetahui kondisi lingkungan perairan pada lokasi penelitian. 2.  Mengidentifikasi spesies lamun di Desa Ratatotok. 3. Mengetahui komposisi spesies lamun yang meliputi: Kepadatan Spesies, Kepadatan Relatif, Kelimpahan, Kelimpahan Relatif, Dominasi, Dominasi Relatif, Frekuensi, Frekuensi Relatif dan Nilai Penting. Spesies lamun yang ditemukan di lokasi penelitian berjumlah 7 spesies dari 2  family: Cymodoceaceae (Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Syringodium isoetifolium, dan Halodule uninervis) dan Hydrocharitaceae (Enhalus acoroides, Halophila ovalis dan Thalassia hemprichii). Jumlah tegakan spesies lamun di lokasi penelitian berkisar antara 26-2699 individu, kepadatan spesies 9,51-987,06/m², kepadatan relatif 0,72-75,08 %, frekuensi kehadiran 0,69-8,46, frekuensi relatif 2,68-33,04 %, kelimpahan 10,08-1046,88, kelimpahan relatif 0,72-75,08 %, dominasi 28,89-2998,89 dan dominasi relatif 0,72-75,08 %. Nilai penting lamun di perairan Desa Ratatotok menunjukkan bahwa jenis Syringodium isoetifolium memiliki nilai penting yang mencapai 183,20 %. Untuk jenis Cymodocea rotundata dan jenis Thalassia hemprichii masing-masing memiliki nilai penting yakni  41,93 % dan 26,68 %. Selain itu jumlah indvidu kedua spesies ini banyak ditemui disertai dengan ukuran individu yang relatif besar dibandingkan spesies lainnya.Kata Kunci : Ratatotok, Lamun, Nilai Penting

<em>Seagrasses habitats have both physical and ecological functions that support adjacent waters qualities and its dwelling organisms. There are varies of pressure on seagrass environmental, especially due to people activities that could decrease its function and habitat stabilities. The study aimed to determine about seagrass habitat stabilities from its species composition and/or densities. Line transect-plots and exploration methods were used in five locations of Manokwari coastal waters, that were, Andai, Rendani, Wosi, Briosi, and Tanjung Manggewa. There are five pioneer species (Cymodocea rotundata, Halodule pinifolia, H. uninervis, Syringodium isoetifolium, Halophila ovalis) and 3 climax species (Cymodocea serrulata, Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii). The pioneer only found in Andai and Wosi, however both pioneer and climax encountered in three other locations. In Rendani and Tanjung Manggewa higher density of climax species (T. hemprichii) were 617.7 and 828.0 stands m-2, respectively, although in Briosi the higher pioneer (C. rotundata) of 570.7 stands m-2. These conditions showed that seagrass habitat in Rendani and Tanjung Manggewa are more stable compared to Briosi, as well as Andai and Wosi. It concluded that pioneer species found in newly formed habitat or disturbed, on the other hand, climax in more stable habitat.</em>

This research was conducted in the waters of Tarabitan Peninsula, West Likupang North Minahasa using quadants transect method. The purpose of this study was to determine the community structure of seagrass found in that waters as initial information for sustainable management seagrass ecosystem . Field observation was conducted to identify the seagrass species, number of individuals/shoots, percent cover for each type of seagrass in those plotting quadrants. The result of this study documented 6 types of seagrass namely, Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Cymodocea rotundata, Syringodium isoetifolium, Halophila ovalis and Halodule uninervis. The species composition and distribution of seagrass were varied and was dominated by Thalassia hemprichii was the most dominant seagrass species with a relative density of 55.55%, a relative frequency of 33.67%, 39.92% relative cover, an important value index of 129.03%, a diversity index of 1.30 belonging to this condition, moderate, the uniformity index of 0.72 is classified as high and the dominance index of 0.2 is classified as low. Based on Minister of Environment Decree Republic Indonesia No. 200 of 2004 concerning the status of seagrass beds, the condition of the seagrass beds in the waters of Tarabitan Village is classified as rich / healthy with a cover value of ≥ 60. Keywords : Seagrass Community, Species Composition,  distribution, Tarabitan Peninsula           Penelitian ini dilakukan di perairan Semenanjung Tarabitan Likupang Barat Minahasa Utara dengan menggunakan metode transek kuadran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas lamun yang terdapat di perairan tersebut sebagai informasi awal untuk pengelolaan lamun secara berkelanjutan. Pengamatan lapangan dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis lamun, jumlah individu/tegakan, persentase tutupan tiap jenis lamun pada tiap kuadran. Hasil penelitian ini mendokumentasikan 6 jenis lamun yaitu Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Cymodocea rotundata, Syringodium isoetifolium, Halophila ovalis dan Halodule uninervis. Komposisi jenis dan sebaran lamun bervariasi dan didominasi oleh jenis lamun Thalassia hemprichii merupakan jenis lamun yang paling dominan dengan kerapatan relatif 55,55%, frekuensi relatif 33,67%, tutupan relatif 39,92%, indeks nilai penting 129,03%, indeks keanekaragaman 1,30 tergolong dalam kondisi sedang, indeks keseragaman 0,72 tergolong tinggi dan indeks dominansi 0,2 tergolong rendah. Berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup Nomor 200 Tahun 2004, kondisi padang lamun di perairan Desa Tarabitan tergolong kaya / sehat dengan nilai tutupan ≥ 60.Kata Kunci: Komunitas Lamun, Komposisi Jenis, Distribusi, Semenanjung Tarabitan

Padang lamun memiliki peran penting sebagai sumber utama produktivitas primer atau penghasil bahan organik, habitat untuk berbagai biota, tempat asuhan, tempat memijah, sumber makanan bagi biota langka dan penyokong keanekaragaman jenis-jenis biota laut serta bernilai ekonomis dari jasa ekosistem lamun. Aktivitas pembangunan di wilayah pesisir yang terus meningkat telah mengakibatkan kerusakan padang lamun di perairan timur pulau Bintan. Saat ini kajian terbaru terkait dengan kondisi lamun belum tersedia. Kajian ini dilakukan pada Mei dan September (2015-2016) dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui dampak perubahan tutupan lahan terhadap kondisi lamun di perairan timur pulau Bintan. Kondisi lamun ditentukan berdasarkan persentase tutupan lamun. Analisis perubahan penggunaan lahan menggunakan perangkat lunak ENVI 5.1 dan ArcGIS 10.1. Pengukuran debit sungai dan penanganan sampel air dilakukan di lapangan dan laboratorium P2O-LIPI Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perubahan penggunaan lahan menjadi lahan terbuka, perkebunan dan semak belukar pada DAS Kawal telah memberikan dampak menurunnya kondisi lamun khususnya di sekitar muara Sungai Kawal. Secara umum kondisi lamun di perairan timur Pulau Bintan menurun ditunjukkan dengan persentase tutupan lamun yaitu 46 % (2006) dan 41 % (2015). Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan tujuh spesies lamun, antara lain Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Halophila ovalis, Halodule uninervis dan Syringodium isoetifolium.

Lamun merupakan salah satu tumbuhan penyokong kehidupan dilaut, khususnya daerah pesisir.Banyak manfaat yang dihasilkan dari adanya ekosistem lamun atau seagrass baik untuk ekosistem dan biota di laut maupun bagi ekonomi dan sosial bagi masyarakat lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikanjenis- jenis, ciri-ciri dan manfaat lamun yang ada di Kawasan Taman Nasional Kepulauan Seribu, khususnya di Pulau Pramuka, Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah data lamun berupa jenis-jenis lamun dan ciri-cirinya. selain itu, ada wawancara bebas dengan petugas dari Taman Nasional Kepulauan Seribu (TNKpS) dan melalui dokumen yang diperoleh melalui penelusuran dengan menggunakan kata kunci distribusi lamun, spesies lamun melalui internet.Analisis data berupa deskriptif analisis untuk memaparkan mengenai jenis dan ciri lamun serta status konservasinya. Hasil yang didapatkan terdapat 7 jenis lamun yaitu Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Enhalus acoroides, Halodule uninervis, Halophila ovalis, Thalassia hemprichii dan Syringodium isoetifolium. manfaat lamun bagi daerah pesisir dan akibat yang ditimbulkan dari aktivitas manusia di daerah sekitar pesisiryang juga mempengaruhi kondisi komunitas lamun.

Lamun merupakan tumbuhan yang beradaptasi penuh untuk dapat hidup di lingkungan laut. Ekosistem lamun berperan penting di wilayah pesisir karena menjadi habitat penting untuk berbagai jenis hewan laut seperti ikan, moluska, crustacea, echinodermata. Penelitian yang dilakukan pada bulan April 2012 di Perairan Pantai Pulau Pramuka bertujuan untuk mengetahui komunitas lamun (jenis, kelimpahan, penutupan) dan distribusinya di berbagai zona di Perairan Pantai Pulau Pramuka, Kepulauan Seribu. Sampling dilakukan di tiga stasiun, yakni stasiun 1 (zona alami), stasiun 2 (zona pemukiman) dan stasiun 3 (zona resort wisatawan) menggunakan kuadran transek. Hasil yang didapatkan 7 jenis lamun yaitu Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Enhalus acoroides, Halodule uninervis, Halophila ovalis, Thalassia hemprichii dan Syringodium isoetifolium. Kerapatan lamun yang tertinggi diperoleh di stasiun 1 yaitu 1.620 individu/15m2. Berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Negara Lingkungan Hidup No. 20 Tahun 2004 bahwa stasiun 1 (zona alami) dengan persentase penutupan 68% masuk kedalam kondisi sehat (penutupan > 60%), sedangkan untuk stasiun 2 (zona pemukiman) dan 3 (zona resort) dengan persentase masing-masing 59% dan 48% masuk dalam kategori kondisi kurang sehat (penutupan 30-59,9%). Pola sebaran (distribusi) lamun pada stasiun 1 mengelompok (cluster) dan seragam (uniform) untuk stasiun 2 dan 3, dengan demikian ada pengaruh dari kegiatan manusia terhadap komunitas lamun.Kata kunci : Lamun, Kerapatan dan Distribusi, Zona kegiatanAbstractSeagrasses are plants adapted to live fully in the marine environment. Seagrass plays an important role in coastal areas due to critical habitat for many kinds of marine animals such as fish, mollusks, crustaceans, echinoderms. The research was conducted on April 9 to 22, 2012 at Pramuka Island Coastal Waters in order to know seagrass community (type, abundance, coverage) distribution in different activity zones. The method used transect quadrates in three stations, namely stations 1 (natural zone), station 2 (residential zone) and station 3 (tourist resort zone). The results obtained 7 seagrass species that was of Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Enhalus acoroides, Halodule uninervis, Halophila ovalis, Thalassia hemprichii and Syringodium isoetifolium. The highest seagrass density was in station 1 the total 1620 individuals/15m2. Based on the Ministry of Environment No. 20 In 2004 the station 1 (natural zone) was in healthy condition (coverage > 60%), while for station 2 (residential zone) and 3 (resort zone) were in the category of unhealthy conditions (coverage 30 to 59,9%). The pattern of distribution of seagrass at stations 1 was clumped, however distribution it was cluster at station 2 and 3, thus there is the influence of human activities on seagrass communities.Keywords : Seagrass, Density and Distribution, Activity zones

ABSTRAKKeberadaan ekosistem lamun di perairan pesisir pulau-pulau kecil berperan penting sebagai habitat dan penyedia sumber daya ikan, serta pelindung garis pantai dan daratan pulau-pulau kecil tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sebaran, komposisi, kerapatan, penutupan dan asosiasi jenis lamun di perairan pulau-pulau kecil Hiri, Ternate, Maitara dan Tidore, Maluku Utara. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan metode transek garis dan transek kuadrat. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak MS Excel dan XLstat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pulau Tidore memiliki jumlah jenis lamun terbanyak yakni delapan jenis lamun dari sembilan jenis lamun yang ditemukan di seluruh lokasi penelitian. Tiga jenis lamun yaitu, Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii dan Cymodocea rotundata, menyebar luas dan terdapat di keempat pulau tersebut. Komposisi, kerapatan dan penutupan jenis lamun bervariasi antar stasiun penelitian. Vegetasi lamun yang ditemukan di lokasi penelitian berupa vegetasi campuran yang terdiri dari tiga sampai delapan jenis lamun. E. acoroides banyak ditemukan di Stasiun Mtr1 dan Tte2 tidak berasosiasi dengan spesies lainnya, demikian juga dengan C. serrulata yang ditemukan di Stasiun Mtr2 dan T. hemprichii di Stasiun Tdr2 dan Tdr3. Asosiasi C. rotundata dan Syiringodium isoetifolium terlihat di stasiun Tdr1 dan Hr1, sementara Halophila ovalis dan H. spinulosa  tidak menunjukkan asosiasi dengan jenis lamun lainnya di lokasi penelitian. Secara keseluruhan kondisi lingkungan perairan di keempat pulau tersebut masih tergolong baik dan mampu mendukung ekosistem lamun. ABSTRACTThe existence of seagrass ecosystems in the coastal region of small islands has been playing an essential role as a habitat and the supplier of fish resources, as well as a shore and coastline protector of small islands. This study aimed to  determine the distribution, composition, density, coverage, and associations of seagrass plant in the islands of Hiri, Ternate, Maitara, and Tidore. Data were collected by using line transect method and quadrate transect. Furthermore, data were analyzed by using MS Excel and XLstat software. The results showed that Tidore Island has the highest number of seagrass species namely eight from nine species of seagrasses found in all research sites. Three species of seagrasses, Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, and Cymodocea rotundata, were widespread in all four islands. The composition, density and coverage of seagrass species varied among research stations. Vegetation of seagrasses found in the study site in the form of mixed vegetation consisting of three to eight species. Enhalus acoroides found mostly in Mtr1 and Tte2 stations were not associated with other seagrass species, nor Cymodocea serrulata that found in Mtr2 Station and T. hemprichii at Tdr2 and Tdr3 stations. The associations of C. rotundata and Syringodium isoetifolium were observed at Tdr1 and Hr1 Stations. While Halophila ovalis and Halophila spinulosa showed no association with other seagrass species at the study area. Overall the condition of the marine environment on the four islands is still relatively good and able to support the life of the seagrass ecosystem.
