scholarly journals Effective Material Management to Minimize Problems in Building Construction Project.

Development material administration from the underlying stage to the development stage is the fundamental issue for the structure extends the expense of the undertaking increments when the arranging, controlling and coordinating of material is poor. To keep up the viable material administration to accomplish a convenient inventory of material and gear and to diminish the task cost and finish on schedule. This paper clarifies about the systems which are utilizing for stock control the board for development venture ABC analysis will be applied for four exceptionally affected materials by utilizing this method we will acquire economic development utilizing the S-CURVE strategy for the variety between arranged expense and genuine expense for material things however materials waste is the major problems in Afghanistan construction industry that has significant implications in both the proficiency of the business and the natural effect of construction project due to top material management.

Abstract: A construction project of any building is mainly based on 3 important steps that are planning, Cost Estimation of the building and proper execution of construction of the building. Construction cost estimation has the lion’s share of the research effort in construction management. The Objective is to analyze the effectiveness of various cost estimation methods by comparing traditional and various online websites. This study will provide more accurate estimates that save time and minimize errors. The research conducted will be helpful for estimation of construction, also proving how the introduction of IT sector in construction industry is turning out to be beneficial. Keywords: Estimation, Construction Management, Online Websites, minimize errors

Purpose The Indonesian construction industry has to considerably rise due to the issues of quality product, organisational performance and global competitiveness faced today, along with settling several national challenges that continue to plague the construction industry. Delivering high-quality construction products and services is non-negotiable when competing for contracts with international constructors. Developing such an assessment system to evaluate the performance of Indonesian construction companies is an urgent need in order to encourage and motivate the construction companies to continually improve their performance in the execution of construction works. The purpose of this paper is to empirically test the key attributes related to the evaluation of quality and performance in the construction project-based case of Indonesia. Design/methodology/approach A survey was conducted in the five provinces in Indonesia involving 216 construction practitioners from medium and large qualifications of construction companies. Findings On the basis of the data analysis results, the study develops the 39 key attributes that can be a basis for the development of Indonesian building construction project performance assessment system. The attributes cover construction companies’ performance during project implementation, in delivering final project results and in implementing quality procedures for building construction works. Originality/value The outcome of this study is considered significant to provide a tool for the government to assess the quality performance of contractors in delivering projects against specified standards, and a guideline for the contractors to improve their competitiveness by implementing continuous quality improvement. The confirmed attributes developed from this study is an initial step towards developing an Indonesian construction comprehensive quality performance assessment system.

Material management is a critical component of the construction industry. The goal of materials management is to insure that construction materials are available at their point of use when needed. A proper implemented material management program can achieve the timely flow of materials and equipment to the jobsite, and thus facilitate improved work face planning, increased labour productivity, scheduling and minimize the cost. Material management is an important function in order to improve productivity in construction project. It is defind materials management function which take off, vendor evaluation and selection , purchasing, expenditure, shipping, material receiving, where housing and inventory, and material distribution. In this project we have prepare scheme of material management in the construction industry for building project also conducting survey of industry and determine the various format for construction material management. In conclusion the wastage of material, control cost of material and time should be analyzed by using inventory management system.

Dr.Soedomo Trenggalek Hospital has a goal to realize an optimal service for the community through the availability of supporting infrastructures. One of them is the Blood Bank Building Hospital. This study aims to determine how much cost efficiency and time efficiency of the Blood Bank Building construction project at Dr. Soedomo Trenggalek Hospital are accelerated for seven days. The research method used is the "S" Curve method to monitor project implementation in terms of cost and work performance. Furthermore, the Arrow Diagram method is used to speed up the time of project implementation by determining the critical path and paying attention to activities on the critical path to know the activities that need to be accelerated. The Blood Bank Building Construction Project was scheduled to be completed for 120 days with a Budget Plan of Rp. 891,374,000.00. After accelerating seven days to 113 days, a cost increase of Rp. 20,772,189.68. After accelerating 12 days from 120 to 108 days, an increase in costs of Rp. 26,627,020.90.Rumah Sakit Dr.Soedomo Trenggalek memiliki tujuan untuk mewujudkan pelayanan yang optimal bagi masyarakat melalui tersedianya sarana infrastruktur pendukung. Setelah dilakukan percepatan 7 hari menjadi 113 hari didapat kenaikan biaya sebesar Rp. 20.772.189,68. Setelah dilakukan percepatan 12 hari dari 120 menjadi 108 hari didapat kenaikan biaya sebesar Rp. 26.627.020,90.

Construction defects are always the key concern of the construction industry. Different constructed facilities generate different types of defects and demand different levels and types of quality, depending on the functions, system types, and materials used. Therefore, this study has been carried out to study the defect that happens in construction project and identify the strategies in minimizing the defect in building construction project. The studies were carried out using the questionnaires which were distributed to the contractors. Finally the recommendation was made based on the findings. This study helps to increase the awareness of Malaysian contractor towards managing and minimizing the defect works. By doing this, Malaysian contractor will bring up Malaysian construction industry into the next level of managing construction project.
