Cloud Computing is a paradigm of distributed computing that delivers on-demand and utility-based services to its customers. It provides a set of shared computing resources such as networking, servers, storage, and applications in the form of services to an organization or an individual. The major benefits of cloud computing include on-demand self-service and cost-effectiveness. For the customer, there is no up-front cost for setting up and running the applications on the cloud. Despite the benefits provided by various cloud services, the outsourcing of data storage and computation raise many new security issues. One of such security issues that have to be addressed before uploading our sensitive data to the cloud is data privacy. With the cloud model, end-users lose control over the physical location of data, because data will be stored and processed elsewhere on the globe and not in the local computer. Hence, we need an algorithm for encrypting the data that can be stored and retrieved from a database managed by the public cloud.

With the advent of cloud computing, data privacy has become one of critical security issues and attracted much attention as more and more mobile devices are relying on the services in cloud. To protect data privacy, users usually encrypt their sensitive data before uploading to cloud servers, which renders the data utilization to be difficult. The ciphertext retrieval is able to realize utilization over encrypted data and searchable public key encryption is an effective way in the construction of encrypted data retrieval. However, the previous related works have not paid much attention to the design of ciphertext retrieval schemes that are secure against inside keyword-guessing attacks (KGAs). In this paper, we first construct a new architecture to resist inside KGAs. Moreover we present an efficient ciphertext retrieval instance with a designated tester (dCRKS) based on the architecture. This instance is secure under the inside KGAs. Finally, security analysis and efficiency comparison show that the proposal is effective for the retrieval of encrypted data in cloud computing.

The main goal of any data storage model on the cloud is accessing data in an easy way without risking its security. A security consideration is a major aspect in any cloud data storage model to provide safety and efficiency. In this paper, we propose a secure data protection model over the cloud. The proposed model presents a solution to some security issues of cloud such as data protection from any violations and protection from a fake authorized identity user, which adversely affects the security of the cloud. This paper includes multiple issues and challenges with cloud computing that impairs security and privacy of data. It presents the threats and attacks that affect data residing in the cloud. Our proposed model provides the benefits and effectiveness of security in cloud computing such as enhancement of the encryption of data in the cloud. It provides security and scalability of data sharing for users on the cloud computing. Our model achieves the security functions over cloud computing such as identification and authentication, authorization, and encryption. Also, this model protects the system from any fake data owner who enters malicious information that may destroy the main goal of cloud services. We develop the one-time password (OTP) as a logging technique and uploading technique to protect users and data owners from any fake unauthorized access to the cloud. We implement our model using a simulation of the model called Next Generation Secure Cloud Server (NG-Cloud). These results increase the security protection techniques for end user and data owner from fake user and fake data owner in the cloud.


Cloud Computing is a very viable data storage structure where the users can store and access the data from anywhere. Cloud computing use is increasing at a very rapid pace nowadays. But as cloud allows us data accessibility quite easily data security is a major concern and is an emerging area of study. Other issues related to cloud computing are data privacy and internet dependency. On the other cloud computing also has wide range of benefits over traditional storage and accessibility environment such as scalability, flexibility and resource utilization. We have worked in the area of mobile cloud computing to analyse and solve the problems of anomaly attacks. Our work focuses on preventing the adaptive anomaly attacks and some other security issues of cloud computing

Cloud computing is one of the trending technologies that provide boundless virtualized resources to the internet users as an important services through the internet, while providing the privacy and security. By using these cloud services, internet users get many parallel computing resources at low cost. It predicted that till 2016, revenues from the online business management spent $4 billion for data storage. Cloud is an open source platform structure, so it is having more chances to malicious attacks. Privacy, confidentiality, and security of stored data are primary security challenges in cloud computing. In cloud computing, ‘virtualization’ is one of the techniques dividing memory into different blocks. In most of the existing systems there is only single authority in the system to provide the encrypted keys. To fill the few security issues, this paper proposed a novel authenticated trust security model for secure virtualization system to encrypt the files. The proposed security model achieves the following functions: 1) allotting the VSM(VM Security Monitor) model for each virtual machine; 2) providing secret keys to encrypt and decrypt information by symmetric encryption.The contribution is a proposed architecture that provides a workable security that a cloud service provider can offer to its consumers. Detailed analysis and architecture design presented to elaborate security model.

In recent years, cloud computing has developed from the promising business concept that it used to be, to one of Information Technology (IT) industry's most developing section. Now that the world economy was hit by recession, the victims of this tragedy continually understand that by just outsourcing or tapping the cloud  resources, a package of virtualise, elastic, instant on-demand provision, and scalable; infrastructure, platform, and software can be access fast and easy inform of services at a negligible amount via the internet. However, as individuals and organizations embarked on the course of deploying their information and data into the cloud, anxieties are beginning to develop on whether the cloud environment is safe. This research provides an overview of the cloud deployment model, the services they offer and discusses the security issues and challenges of cloud computing in both data storage and virtual applications/servers.

Abstract Cloud computing is a new way of computing and storage. Users do not need to master professional skills, but can enjoy convenient network services as long as they pay according to their own needs. When we use cloud services, we need to upload data to cloud servers. As the cloud is an open environment, it is easy for attackers to use cloud computing to conduct excessive computational analysis on big data, which is bound to infringe on others’ privacy. In this process, we inevitably face the challenge of data security. How to ensure data privacy security in the cloud environment has become an urgent problem to be solved. This paper studies the big data security privacy protection based on cloud computing platform. This paper starts from two aspects: implicit security mechanism and display security mechanism (encryption mechanism), so as to protect the security privacy of cloud big data platform in data storage and data computing processing.

Nowadays cloud computing become the most popular technology in the area of IT industry. It provides computing power, storage, network and software as a service. While building, a data warehouse typically necessitates an important initial investment. With the cloud pay-as-you-go model, BI system can benefit from this new technology. But, as every new technology, cloud computing brings its own risks in term of security. Because some security issues are inherited from classical architectures, some traditional security solutions are used to protect outsourced data. Unfortunately, those solutions are not enough and cannot guarantee the privacy of sensitive data hosted in the Cloud. In particular, in the case of data warehouse, using traditional encryption solutions cannot be practical because those solutions induce a heavy overhead in terms of data storage and query performance. So, a suitable schema must be proposed in order to balance the security and the performance of data warehouse hosted in the cloud. In this paper, we propose (TrustedDW) a homomorphic encryption schema for securing and querying a data warehouse hosted in the cloud.

Cloud computing is a new and promising technology that is transforming the paradigm of traditional Internet computing and probably the whole IT industry. Cloud computing is predicted to expand in the mobile environment leveraging on the rapid advances in wireless access technologies. These mobile applications are built around mobile cloud computing techniques and models. In the Mobile Cloud environment, users can remotely store their data as well as enjoy high quality on-demand cloud applications without the limitations of having to purchase and maintain their own local hardware and software. However, data security is still a major concern and is the main obstacle preventing cloud computing from being more widely adopted. This concern originates from the fact that sensitive data stored in the public clouds is managed by commercial service providers who might not be totally trustworthy. As such, there are several security and privacy issues that need to be addressed. This chapter gives an overview on the cloud computing concept followed by a description on mobile cloud computing and the different security issues pertinent to the mobile cloud computing environment.

Cloud computing and its flexible business model of consuming IT resources such as computing power or data storage just on demand promises a lot of benefits and advantages. These advantages also the public sector and governments can benefit from. Hence, cloud computing is already on the agenda of governmental policy and decision makers. Additionally, various countries have already adapted their IT strategies to support cloud computing for their governmental and public services. However, within the public sector the private cloud model currently constitutes the dominant deployed approach. Although this model offers high control it does not take full advantage of the economic benefits of cloud computing. Therefore, based on an evaluation of different cloud models and a comparison of different national cloud computing strategies the authors argue and show that public clouds are worth more than a peek for e-Government because of their tremendous cost savings potential.
