MANETs have specific features that can satisfy the mobility and heterogeneous requirement of the smart environment. Smart applications need high Mobility, Bandwidth, Reliability and less Packet Loss and Delays; therefore, it is important to provide good Quality of Service (QoS) in such applications. So there is a dire need of identifying and exploring the relevant protocols that may be adapted for IoT enabled the smart environment. The routing protocols in smart environments are accountable for connectivity among nodes, fairness, quality of service, etc. Protocol & path selection is the main strategies to design any mobile network. The chosen protocol must have the best in term of data integrity and data delivery. Hence the analysis of the protocols become an essential step. This paper presents various securities and safety-related issues of MANET-IoT system, and also advocate the requirement of enhancing routing protocols in a smart environment. In this research, a new enhanced cache update technique is introduced in MANET protocol to make it enable for the upcoming smart environment. The enhanced algorithm helps to detect the malicious node and remove the stale route present in the network, no matter which traffic mode is used and in which direction nodes are moving. Cache is upgraded in such manner that all nodes in the way are notified about the misbehaving node and its adjacent neighbors’ nodes will not use misbehaving node while searching for the route. Here the analysis has been done taking a various number of nodes. Packet Delivery and Packet Lost are two key parameters taken for analysis purpose.

Due to the dynamic nature of Mobile Ad-hoc Networks  (MANETs), the provision of Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees is challenging. The route failure probability in a MANET is increased due to the mobility of nodes, which increases routing overhead. Multi-path routing protocols have relatively greater ability to reduce the routing overheads.  This paper discuses the performance analysis of the Ad-hoc On-Demand Multi-Path Distance Vector (AOMDV) routing protocol. AOMDV is a multi-path extension of a very well known single path routing protocol, (AODV). Extensive simulations were carried out using ns-2.34 and the study concluded that for CBR traffic AOMDV performance degrades as the data packet generation rate increases.

CRT(Cognitive radio technology) enhances the utilization of available better spectrum in the channel. So to provide better Quality of Service for the user in this paper the Localizability aided localization(LAL) and Water filling Methodologies are proposed. This paper analyzes the routing protocols like AOMDV(Ad-hoc On-demand Multi-path Distance Vector routing), DSR (Dynamic Source Routing) and AODV (Ad-hoc On-Demand Distance Vector). Considering the AODV as the existing routing protocol, this paper proposed with AOMDV and DSR routing algorithms for Localizability aided localization(LAL) and Water filling methodologies respectively. Current work on improving Quality of Service, the different routing protocols are proposed in this paper. The main factors analyzing in this paper are throughput, PDR( packet delivery ratio) and Delay. The simulation results will confirm the accuracy of the proposed techniques.

Kata kunci: VANET, Rushing Attack, AOMDV, NS-2  ABSTRACTVehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) is kind of an Ad-Hoc mobile network thathave high mobility and with changing topology constantly in a short time. The broadcast system that applied to the infrastructure architecture formation when VANET can be used as opportunities for penyerang nodes to perform attacks on the routing protocol. Rushing Attack is an attack on the network that the attacks quickly duplicating with higher transmission to disrupt the network and getting forward more access than the other node. The main target of this project is to measure how big the impact of the rushing attack on AOMDV(Adhoc on Demand Multipath Distance Vector) routing protocol using NS-2 software. In a dynamic routing setting a routing protocol is required to perform the settings to find the shortest and best path. Routing protocols are of two types: vector distance and link state. Use of EIGRP routing that includes long-range vectors and link state OSPF Link link state coverage, peg well to be implemented in complex network because it can adapt well. In this research is the method used for routing and speed of time available EIGRP routing and OSPF routing through simulator GNS3 and wireshark application, then analyze the difference of peformance with speed of routing table and speed of time. While for Quality of Service (QoS) compare network service quality from EIGRP and OSPF routing which include delay, packet loss, and throughput. Based on the results of the research shows the EIGRP routing table is better in the selection path, EIGRP smaller time tansfer data then its data transfer faster than the OSPF. Overall Quality Of Service (Qos) delay, packetloss and throughput on EIGRP and OSPF are well balanced and good.

Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) are collection of nodes connected through wireless medium and do not require infrastructure for operation. Network Topology keeps on changing because mobility of nodes are high. Therefore, it is important for MANETs to provide excellent routing and security features. Since MANETs do not require any pre-existing infrastructure, they are extensively used in emergency and rescue and military applications. MANETs thus will form essentially an important part in wireless networks. In this paper, Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) and Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing (GPSR) routing protocol performance is compared with respect to Throughput and E2ED and observed that there is an improvement in throughput by 11% in case of GPSR. Simulation is performed using NS3.
