Introduction. The study of the protein composition of the causative agent of anthrax — Bacillus anthracis, allows you to identify both general species and individual characteristics of strains that differ in phenotypic properties, manifested mainly in the vegetative form and which are important for virulence, immunogenicity and the ability to adapt to different vegetation conditions.Purpose of the work. In the group of anthrax microbe strains having different plasmid composition and virulence, different methods of extraction of the total proteome from vegetative bacillus cells have been tested.Results. In the course of the work, it was shown that the rate of spore formation varies significantly between individual strains of the anthrax microbe and can have a significant impact on the efficiency of extraction and the composition of the protein complex. Preliminary treatment with lysozyme, which affects the cell membrane, promotes a more complete lysis of cells, and ultramicrocentrifuge filtration provides complete specific sterility of the obtained samples.Conclusion. A culture preparation scheme was developed for B. anthracis, which allows one to obtain a culture in the vegetative phase of the life cycle and to efficiently extract proteins in combination with reliable disinfection of samples.

Factors of recidivism. Assessment of the probability of recidivism by stages of the life cycle of crime. The problem of interrelation of factors. Adaptation of prisoners after release. Classification of prisoners according to the likelihood of post-penitentiary relapse. Crime latency as a limitation on the reliability of crime forecasts. Modeling of individual post-penitentiary crimes. The article substantiates the classification of convicts at the time of their release from penal institutions by the probability of their post-penitentiary recidivism. An example of modeling the timing of post-penitentiary crimes is given. The paper highlights a set of individual characteristics of the convict, which reflect his focus on the Commission of latent crimes and the ability to commit them.

The fine structure of γ phage of Bacillus anthracis was studied by electron microscopy with a negative-staining technique. The phage has a hexagonal head and a long tail without a sheath. By electrophoresis on polyacrylamide gels, the proteins of the phage particles are separate into 10 polypeptides with moleclar weights ranging from 140 000 to 12 000.

A critical phase in the life cycle of sessile benthic marine invertebrates is locating a suitable substratum for settlement. For barnacles, it is the lecithotrophic cypris larva that makes this plankto–benthic transition. In exploring possible substrata for settlement, the cyprid leaves behind ‘footprints’ of a proteinaceous secretion that reportedly functions as a temporary adhesive, and also acts as a secondary cue in larval–larval interactions at settlement. Here, we show that two polyclonal antibodies raised against peptides localized at the N- and C-terminal regions of the adult settlement cue—the settlement-inducing protein complex (SIPC)—could both detect ‘temporary adhesive’ indicating that the SIPC is either a component of this secretion or that they are the same protein.

Abstract The operational technique for the major components of the fighter aircraft engine rotors has been introduced basing on the real conditions of their cyclic loading in each flight or ground test and a priori information on their previous operation. It has been confirmed that the obtained technical solutions not only conform to the current methods of accounting for the depletion of the life cycle of the Afterburning Turbofan Engine (ATE) but also introduce additional opportunities to consider individual characteristics and conditions of their cyclic loading throughout the overall operating time. A method for estimating the depletion of the life cycle in accordance with the Total Accumulated Cycle (TAC) has been proposed. It allows us to compare the actual operating time of the ATE in hours and the accumulated value of cyclic damage to the engine and its major components (within the TAC parameter) during the previous operation.
