Amides were synthesized in 1:1 and 1:2 molar ratios of amber and oxalic acid with monoethanolamine. IR-spectra of the obtained substances were drawn, the structures were determined and confirmed, physicochemical properties were studied. 10% aqueous solutions of these substances were prepared, physicochemical properties were determined and bactericidal properties were studied. Bactericidal efficacy of amber acid N-monoethanolamide was 82.9% at 25 mg/l of concentration, 88% at 50 mg/l and 95% at 100 mg/l of concentrations. Bactericidal efficacy of amber acid N1, N2 - bis-monoethanolamide was 69% at 25 mg/l of concentration, 83.2% at 50 mg/l and 90% at 100 mg/l of concentrations. The bactericidal effect of oxalic acid has also been studied N-monoethanolamide was 82% at 25 mg/l of concentration, 91% at 50 mg/l and 97% at 100 mg/l of concentrations. Bactericidal efficacy of amber acid N1, N2 - bis-monoethanolamide was 85% at 25 mg/l of concentration, 94% at 50 mg/l and 97.6 at 100 mg/l of concentrations. Key words: amber acid, oxalic acid, bactericidal efficacy, N-monoethanolamide, N1,N -bis-monoethanolamide

Background: There are many beneficial effects such as reducing the risk of obesity, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and hypercholesterolemia from Amorphophallus sp. This reports are research results of physicochemical properties of glucomannan flour from tubers of Amorphophallus paeoniifolius cultivated in Thua Thien Hue. Materials: Glucomannan flour from tubers of Amorphophallus paeoniifolius (Dennst) Nicolson – Araceae cultivated in Thua Thien Hue. Method: Identify the quantity and physicochemical properties by many methods such as using enzymes, chemistry, physical chemistry, spectroscopic methods, laser analysis. Results: Identified starch and glucomannan quantity, physicochemical properties and indicators of microbiological of glucomannan flour. Conclusion: From the achieved results set up quality standards of glucomannan flour from tubers of Amorphophallus paeoniifolius cultivated in Thua Thien Hue. Key words: Glucomannan, starch, β-amylase.

The CD spectra of aqueous solutions of homopolymeric sodium oligogalacturonates and D-galacturonans of polymerization degree n = 1-64, as well as lower calcium oligogalacturonates (n = 1-5) were measured. Chiroptic properties were correlated with the polymerization degree in terms of optical superposition of monomeric unit increments. Interpretation of obtained data, respecting further physicochemical properties entitles to conclude that the conformation of macromolecules of D-galacturonan in solution is close to helical structure.

The thermal stability and acidic characteristics of Al interlayered montmorillonite were affected by citric acid which was present during its formation. Perturbation to the formation of Al interlayers by citric acid resulted in more gradual loss of their structural water in the 430 °C to 520 °C region at initial citric acid/Al molar ratios of 0.1 and 0.5. The data clearly reveal that, besides hydroxy-Al polymers, hydroxy-Al-citrate complexes adsorbed on the surfaces of montmorillonite very substantially contribute to the total and third buffer range titratable acidity of the clay. Key words: Hydroxy-Al-citrate interlayers, smectite, organic acid, DTA, third buffer range, organic carbon
