ABSTRACTThis research was conducted in the Analitic laboratory of Palangka Raya Univercity and in the screenhouse of Agriculture Cultivation Department, Palangka Raya Univercity. The purpose of thisexperiment was to determine the effect of dolomit and chicken manure to some soil chemicalproperties of acid sulfate soil and growth of Maize Crop (Zea mays L.). The research was arranged inComplete Ramdomized Design with two factors and three replications. The first factors were level ofdolomit with three levels namely 0 ; 1,5 ; 3,0 times exchangeable alumunium. The second factors werelevel of chicken manure with three levels namely 0, 6 and 12 t ha-1. The results showed that theinteraction between dolomit and chicken manure significantly affected increasing the soil pH anddecreasing exchangeable alumunium. The combination level of dolomit in level 1,5 timesexchangeable alumunium with application of 6 ton.ha-1 chicken manure will be optimum increasingthe soil pH and decreasing exchangeable alumunium. The application a single factor of dolomit notsignificantly affected P-availabilityand growth of Zea mays (plant height, number of leaf and area leafindex) in age 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 weeks after planting. The application of chicken manure only significantlyaffected increasing P- availabilityand growth of Zea mays (plant height, number of leaf and area leafindex) in age 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 weeks after planting. Optimum dosage of chicken manure was 6 t ha-1.Keywords: sulfate soil, dolomite, soil chemical, chicken manures.

ABSTRACT Research has been implemented as of July 2012, in the  BPSB Laboratory  of North Sulawesi Province i.e.: 1) to test the seed lacking in vigour during the Random Complete Design with three treatments of the various harvest ages, i.e. U1 (90 dasy), U2 (100 days) and U3 (110 days) treatments repeated four times; 2) in the greenhouse to see the amount of the normal, sprouts abnormal, seeds, hard seed and dead, shoot root ratio by using the Random Completed Design with two factors, respectively are : factorial in complete factors of the first different age harvest U1 (90 days), U2 (100 days) and U3 (110 days), the second factor granting of the water with different capacity P1 (3600 ml), P2 (2700 ml), P3 (1800 ml) and P4 (900 ml). Data analysis were found by the various analysis, however if there are different results, it would continue on the Smallest Significant Test. The results showed that, Electric Power Conductivity (EPC) affected by the age of harvest seed corn. The highest EPC at the harvest ages of 90 days and the lowest at 100 days and 110 days. It would be shown that the great value of EPC, the smallest amount of germination. There is no interaction between the age of abnormal seeds, hard seed die, shoot root ratio and high sprouts, but single factor treatment of harvest age and media planting humidity were significantly effected toward sprout normal, abnormal seed, hard seed die, shoot root ratio and high sprouts. Penelitian kedua di Rumah Kaca untuk melihat jumlah kecambah normal, abnormal, benih keras,benih mati dan nisbah pupus akar  menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap disusun secara faktorial  dengan  2 faktor  masing-masing adalah : faktor pertama : Umur Panen yang berbeda, U1 (90 Hari), U2 (100 Hari) dan U3 (110 hari). faktor kedua pemberian air dengan kapasitas yang berbeda, P1 (3600 ml), P2 (2700 ml), P3 (1800 ml) dan P4 (900 ml). Data yang diperoleh menggunakan analisa ragam dan jika terdapat perbedaan perlakuan dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil  (BNT). Hasil penelitian yang didapat adalah; Daya hantar listrik (DHL) dipengaruhi oleh umur panen benih jagung, DHL tertinggi pada umur panen 90 hari dan yang terendah umur panen 100 dan 110 hari. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa semakin besar nilai DHL semakin kecil jumlah perkecambahan. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara umur panen benih dan kelembaban media tanam terhadap jumlah kecambah normal, abnormal, benih keras, benih mati, nisbah pupus akar dan tinggi kecambah tetapi secara tunggal faktor perlakuan umur panen dan kelembaban media tanam berpengaruh nyata terhadap kecambah normal, abnormal, benih keras, benih mati, nisbah pupus akar dan tinggi kecambah. The experiment aimed at investigating the effect of chicken manure and swallow guano and the interaction of both on sweet corn (Zea mays L. saccharata Sturt.) plated onraised-bog peatlend. The experiment used a group-randomized design (GRD) 2 factors: chicken dung and swallow guano having the same three levels (A1=5 t ha-1; A2=10 t ha-1; A3=15 t ha-1). Parameter to observe was the plant height and the plant leave area. The result showed that the single use of swallow guano and chicken manure had significant effect on the plant height and the plant leave area. The best use of swallow guano was at a dose of 15 t ha-1and the best use of chicken manure was at a dose of 10 t ha-1. The best combination was at a dose of 15 t ha-1of swallow guano and 10 t ha-1of chicken manure.   Percobaan ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemberianpupuk kandang kotoran ayam dan guano walet serta interaksinya terhadapJagung Manis (Zea mays L. saccharata Sturt.) yang ditanam pada Tanah Gambut Pedalaman. Percobaan dilakukan denganrancangan acak kelompok (RAK) 2 faktor yaitu pupuk kandang kotoran ayam dan pupuk guano walet masing-masing dengan 3 taraf yang sama (A1/W1= 5 t ha-1; A2/W2=10 t ha-1; A3/W3=15 t ha-1). Peubahyang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman dan luas daun tanaman jagung manis. Hasilenunjukkan bahwa pemberian tunggal pupuk guano walet dan pupuk kotoran ayam  berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dan luas daun. Dosis terbaik pupuk guano walet tunggal adalah 15 t ha-1dan dosis pupuk kotoran ayam tunggal adalah 10 t ha-1. Kombinasi perlakuan terbaik didapat pada perlakuan 15 t ha-1pupuk guano walet dan 10 t ha-1 pupuk kotoran ayam.

Black corn has its advantage compare to regular corn due to the nutrition component. This could lead the increase of demant to this corn variety. The Effect of providing various biochar sources and various manure on the growthand production of Zea mays black maiz L. The study used factorial randomized block design with two factors, namely the provision of various biochar sources which was combined into several organic fertilizer. Parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, wet production weight/sample using klobot, wet production weight/plot using klobot,wet production weight/sample without klobot, wet production weight/plot without klobot, dru production weigh of pipil/sample, dry weight of production of onehundred grain pipil. The results of the study showed that the effect of giving various biochar of rice husk corn cobs of candlenut shells did not signficantly affect all observation parameters and various manure, namely cows, chickens and goats also did not significantly affect all observed parameters.

The objectives of this research were to obtain an optimum dose of vermicompost fertilizer to the nutrient levels of K in the leaves, K uptake, and corn growth in ultisols. This research were held in September until November 2018, which has been implemented in green house and  the Laboratory of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu. The research used   Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a single factor consisting of 7 levels of treatment and three replicates  i.e.  0 , 2.5 , 5.0 , 7.5 , 10.0, 12.5, and 15.0 ton ha-1. The results showed that the optimum dose of vermicompost fertilizer 5.71 ton ha-1, resulting in leave K content of 0.59%,  9.5 ton vermicompost ha-1, producing  the absorption of K leaves 31 kg ha-1,   9.59 ton vermicompost ha-1, producing a plant height 160.7 cm,   10.2 ton vermicompost ha-1, producing the fresh stover weight 27,561.2 kg ha-1, 98.9 ton vermicompost ha-1, producing the dry stover weight 5,675.5 kg ha-1, and 9.5 tons vermicompost ha-1, producing root dry weight  1,156 kg ha-1.

       Corn feed is one animal feed that has many advantages, as corn feed is used for metabolic energy sources. Podsolic land is a land with very low nutrient value. This study aims to (i) determine the effect of various doses, and two types of guano interactions, (ii) determine the effect of various doses of guano, (iii) find out influence of two types of guano, (iv) get the best interaction, (v) get the best dose, (vi) get the best type of guano in the cultivation of corn feed in podsolic land. This research was conducted in Hawang Village, Limpasu District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, from March to June 2018. They are using Group Random Design (GRD) Factorial 2 factors. The first factor is various doses of guano with five levels: d1 = 1.5 kg. plot-1, d2 = 3 kg. plot-1, d3 = 4.5 kg. plot-1, d4 = 6 kg. plot-1, d5 = 7.5 kg. plot-1. The second factor is two types of guano with two levels: g1 = bat guano, g2 = swallow guano. The results showed that the interaction between various doses and two types of guano had no effect on growth and yield, except that the effect was very significant on long cob weighted, whereas a single factor of various doses had significant and very real effect on all observation variables and the factor of two types of guano had no effect on all variables.  Except for significant effect on plant height growth at the age of 56 HST.

<p><em>Cauliflower is one of the vegetables for consumers. The demand for cauliflower was rising so it must be scaled up with fertilizer. The purpose of this study was to study the effect of chicken manure and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of cauliflower. The study was conducted in Sukasenang Village, Banyuresmi Sub-district, Garut Regency from July to August 2019. The study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) in two factors each of the 3 rates with 2 replications. The first factor was the rates of chicken manure which consisted of 0, 10 and 20 tons ha<sup>-1</sup>; the second factor was NPK fertilizer which consists of 0, 100 and 200 kg ha<sup>-1</sup>. The parameter of this research was plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, weight and diameter crud. The results showed that there was no interaction between the chicken manure and NPK fertilizer. The treatment of 20 tons ha<sup>-1</sup> chicken manure affected the variable plant height, the number of leaves and leaf area. The rates of 200 kg ha<sup>-1</sup> NPK fertilizer had affected plant height, number of leaves, weight and diameter crud.</em></p>

The results revealed that parents namely, TSK-10, TSK-27, New Blue-II, Kurara and TSK-109 were found highly genetic diverse for days to 50% tasseling, days to 50% silking, days to 755 dry husk. The parents namely, TSK-109, Kurara, New Blue-II and TSK-10 were found highly genetic diverse for plant height (cm), cob height, number of cobs per plant and number of grains per cob. The parents namely, Kurara, TSK-109, TSK-10, New Blue-II and TSK-27 were found highly genetic diverse for shelling percentage, grain yield per plant, grain yield per cob and 100-grain weight.
